Great location

Was not able to check in early, no balcony

Location is perfect and the hotel is very welcoming

Car parking and roof top bar was expensive

It was our honeymoon, so we were upgraded to a room with incredible views over LA – truly unforgettable. The breakfast was superb. Overall, it was the best hotel we stayed in during our USA trip through San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles – and with its excellent location, we’d 100% recommend and return.

Nothing to fault really – maybe just the lack of bar service at the rooftop pool when we wanted to spend an hour or two relaxing in the evening – but that’s really nitpicking.

The location is perfect because it safe and around several restaurants and venues

Really lovely hotel with the musical theme and so much history ie past musicians who have stayed at the hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious. The toiletries provided were good quality. The fact the hotel provides free coffee and snacks in reception was such a lovely touch. Great location in centre of Hollywood. Would totally recommend.

We went out for the day and mentioned to the front desk we would like our room to be cleaned. House keeping hadn’t been all day when we got back we had to make several phone calls to at least get a fresh set of towels.

Great hotel and location

I thought the communal areas where you got free water, coffee and snacks was a great touch. The location of course is great, lots of great places within walking distance. Rooftop was also decent as well. The breakfast staff were SO lovely. Super easy to check in and out also.

My only real issues was the room itself. It was a little grubby to say the least, and the lighting was awful. My room was on the back of the hotel so the natural light wasnt the best anyway, and the room was lit only by very small lamps for a reallyyy large room. Cleaning wise, it was quite dusty too and really needs touching up on certain areas like the tired furnishings and the paint work. During the stay, I woke up to some small bites marks which could be bed bugs, or maybe I was in a pet friendly room and some fleas may have been present, who knows. A number of evenings people were partying in their rooms which isnt ideal for someone like myself on a work trip, wasn't aware this was a particular party hotel (possibly my bad). Only other small gripe was the breakfast menu is quite basic and isn't very vegan or veggie friendly. Was quite glad to check in to a new hotel by the end of the trip overall. Lovvvved the staff but sadly wouldn't come back given the price and the quality.

Location was good, easy to access by car and you can drive to the main attractions in the city. Everything was decent, not great or high quality.

The room was cold, we asked the staff to check the air conditioning and it looks like they couldn't sort it out. They put an electric heater to our room which was helpful but it's not the quality of service we'd expect from a 4 start hotel. There were water and ice stations on each floor and that area was horrifying, no design, no customer friendly, just industrial and not looking clean either. You wouldn't let a customer walk into that area of the hotel, it looks like a service station. The taste of the water was weird as well. I guess this is the norm in LA but parking per night is $70 which is very expensive.
