They knowingly gave us a room with a broken AC. They had a portable unit in the room and the thermostat said it was 82 degrees in the room. I had to go back downstairs and they moved me to a room with a working AC.

check in gave the worst customer service we have ever received.

The room furniture was run down. The shower did not work.

Bed was smaller than a standard king. Lots of issues with cleanliness/ damages to the room.

Pool, Spa, Hotel Bar and location were great. It's a 5 minute drive to the beach, hotel was very quiet.

Bed and pillows were not comfortable. (too soft/down pillows) There were several brown stains on the wall and curtains in our room and mold in the bathroom. The night employee was rude to us both nights when we asked for something. $35 parking fee

Once I was able to use the hot tub when it wasn't packed full of people.

Parking $33/day was a surprise. The location is awful, on the same street as the fairgrounds, traffic in and out was terrible. I couldn't just leave to grab food and come back without sitting in a line of cars for an hour. The hotel itself is not 4 stars.

Once we got into our hotel room, my 5yr old son went into the restroom only to slip and hit his head on the toilet. The whole floor was wet and so was the counter. Tired calling the desk area and it took about 5 mins for someone to pick up the phone.

The location is perfect! Walking distance to the Del Mar Fair and the beach! Good resturants nearby, easy freeway access

The location, the staff and the pool area.

The hotel is looking worn out. The carpet is thread bare in places, the elevator is slow and old, the furnishings are outdated, and it doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel anymore. An alarm went off around 4 am 2 night.

The location is terrific. The staff is fantastic. The outdoor bar/seating area and pool area is very nice.

The hotel is in need of a makeover. The carpeting is worn, the style is outdated, the is a huge parking lot and yet guests are charged $33 a day + California tax to park.

The room was nice but there was no work space or chair to sit in to do work, Room was open when arrived with dirty glass and garbage on counter.

There was no heavy toxic smell hiding an even worse smell. This happens often. Appreciated the breathable air for my sensitive immune system

The location. It's convenient to get to the beaches.

The $33 charge for parking is to much. The parking lot mostly sits empty. You need a key card to enter so not everyone can park there. There is more than enough room to make parking free. Charge $10 more for parking lot maintenance.

Location, outside areas, space in rooms

The rooms were pretty run down and smelled like mildew. The elevator was very far away from the room.

The bed was comfortable and the place was quiet.

It's in a weird location next to the horse race track. The place needs a remodel. A paint job on the outside would really spruce the place up along with new carpet throughout. $30 parking fee should not be charged and we were told it was going up soon.

The room was outdated, stuffy and dark. People slamming the entrance door, it shakes the whole floor! they should do something about that.They charged me $30 a day for parking my own car. And the hot tub was closed. Will never stay here again!

Close to the music venue we were seeing a show at.

There was dog hair all over the bottom of the bed and the overall cleanliness was subpar at best. There were about 30 kids around 10-12 years old in the pool and the spa at all times.

We like the location and the pool area.

If you do not get a room with a view then you look at the parking lot, freeway, Denny's. This trip a beverage glass sat in the elevator for 2 days. Last trip a large oval tray with leftover dishes sat outside a suite for 2 days. Shouldn't happen here.

Great location, pretty grounds.
