Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel

The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and couch. The meals I had there were excellent especially the high tea. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional.

Pool area: outdoor area a bit “agricultural”, rough grass ( not lawn), undulating not level, insufficient shade and ourdoor furniture ( inly 2 sun louges. Quite a let down cf the hogh standard of the rest of the place

Stunning hotel. classic and elegant. staff were extremely courteous and approachable. everything was immaculately clean. comfiest bed, great air-conditioning in the room.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel

Breakfast and dinner excellent and lovely staff. The ambience of the rooms and Hotel is superb, as always. We enjoy the lounge area in the evening. We love the location near the lake.

Would be nice to have mugs in the rooms to make a cup of tea in the morning - the cups are great for coffee, but not so good for tea.

All areas presented to a very high standard. Historic interiors and architecture restored and retained.

Like most of Canberra, everything is very spread out so main museums are not really walkable.

Arrival was welcoming & swiftly handled. The gardens were beautiful & sitting outside having a refreshing drink was a delight. The restaurant dinner was delicious & Thomas (our waiter) was so bright & happy to help in any way. Loved the bathroom!

Finding the room was a challenge - even with the map! I am due for a hip replacement was should have requested a room closer to facilities. Huge queue banked up for a table at the restaurant (even though we had a booking).

Welcoming, clean, super comfy beds and great rooms. Staff were friendly and accomodation.

The staff talking while guests are within hearing distance. For a 5 star hotel staff should be neatly dressed not with shirts out and waist jackets not done up. Appearance is important. No way would that be tolerated at The Hyatt in Sydney. Also the menu could be a bit more varied.

Location was good. Easy to access everything. It was just far enough away from the centre of the city to be nice and peaceful. Bed was extremely comfortable and cleanliness was good.

Staff service in bars and restaurant was terrible. Staf would not clean tables until you begged them Food was disappointing

Lovely property and location but the interiors are a little tired and in some areas lack ambience. The rooms are a very generous size and beautifully clean and the bathrooms are very comfortable.

The service is very underwhelming. It took half an hour to get a cup of tea in the tearooms, they didn’t know how to transfer payment for breakfast to our room, they are slow to respond, room service systems dud not work and we were given incorrect information at check-in for our booking. Generally training does not appear to be great. However, housekeeping keep the rooms beautifully clean.

Exceptional stay. Room was superb. Clean and very comfortable. Lots of room to move. Quiet and lovely aspect. Breakfast was delicious. Will stay again.

The classic styling and the access to recreational facilities such as the gym snd the pool. The dining was excellent.

Location

Didn’t realise there were two sections to the hotel. Old and new. I thought we were going to be in the historic part not realising there was a modern, standard boring part too. Finding it was also a bit of a maze. The swimming pool was in a separate building so not somewhere I felt comfortable popping out to in my cozzie!
