    Pros +

    • Very clean, pristine location.
    • Location is the best you can get for experiencing the Monastery
    • Beautiful setting, peaceful hotel, kind staff.

    Cons -

    • Could be cleaner and you can basically hear everything from all the rooms.
    • Noise in the corridor that you can hear from the bedroom
    • Breakfast lacked some healthy options like müesli etc. Dinner a bit expensive (€30 for set meal, when we only wanted to eat something small with our kids).Hard to get hold of anyone before we arrived (we called and wrote many times). Please provide duvet covers instead of just sheets around the duvets. But overall we rate our stay 9/10!

The accomodation is set in the Monastery grounds. A serene relaxing ambiance. The room was clean and the staff exceptional. We had a wonderful dinner in the on site restaurant. We stopped overnight on our way north which was well worth it. Plenty of safe parking and dog friendly. We will be back.

Beautiful surroundings next to the monastery. Nice, warm and clean rooms. Amazing views from our room 216.

Designed in 2010 by Spanish architect Mariano Bayón, the Poblet Monastery Guesthouse surprises with high quality facilities and interesting architectural spaces. High standard local produce in the breakfast buffet.Well-informed and kind staff suggested additional attractions around Poblet.

IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITY: Acoustic isolation. The wood quality in doors and floors is VERY HIGH, but there are no gaskets to dampen the outside corridor noise nor the room doors closing.

Really quiet, beautiful surroundings and welcoming staff.

Beautiful location, very quiet, convenient for Barcelona. The monastery is an interesting place to visit. Restaurant was good. Cafe was very nice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The common areas are nice and well kept. Lots of very entertaining cats in the grounds.

Rooms are tired, they need updating and a deep clean. One room we had was very dark, no obvious place to put the lights on and 4 steps down almost immediately inside the door, quite dangerous. Sound insulation between the rooms was nonexistent and the beds were poor. Door to one of our rooms had a large gap at the top and the wooden floors in the hallway creaked and groaned whenever anyone went past.

Minimalist hotel in the grounds of a beautiful historic monastery. Simple, austere, modest, and relaxing in the simplicity. Great trip for our family but would be an amazing place to retreat to alone. There is a library to relax in where my boys played chess and we just enjoyed being in the grounds of the monastery. The surrounding villages like Prades are worth a visit. Our main goal was to see the comet at Prades Parc Astronomic. Highly recommend this too.

The beds were not comfortable, very hard but great water pressure in the shower!

The staff at the reception was great, very nice people and were eager to help.

The room was not clean, and everything had a very unpleasant smell— including the room itself, the bed sheets, and the towels. We opened the windows to try and air out the room, but the odor persisted.Overall, this experience was disappointing so I would not recommend staying here until these issues are properly addressed.

Beautiful restored hotel inside the monastery. Rooms are basic but very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and nice to sit outside and admire the view of the monastery. Had half board and food was good. Went to see the monks singing at 7pm . Such a special place.

Church bells start ringing at 5 am as it’s their first mass of the day but we slept in after that.

Beautiful building, next to a Monastery. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and always happy to help. Rooms are simple but spacious. Generous breakfast, the food served at the restaurant although limited in options is good as well.

    We loved it!

Everything - comfortable, walking distance from the monastery (and therefore ability to attend mass), food, calm

    Everything was top notch!

    Poor

Electronic key to room was not working everyday, I was forced to sleep in freinds room because I was not able to enter my room and after 11pm there was nobody in reception and nobody was answering the emergency phone as well. Next day when I expalined at the reception the situation that I was not able to sleep in my room the guy on reception was laughing at me and said that good that Im here with freinds otherwise I would sleep on reception floor…

The hotel is located within the Poblet monastery grounds which makes it an ideal base for the visit and an invitation to prayer and tranquility. The room was modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff are amazing people, full of care and attention, eager to help with any questions and needs. Special thanks to Alba and Eugenia for their above and beyond level of help and communication skills.

Beautiful and peaceful location in the Monastry grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful, we arrived too late for lunch and we're told of places where we could eat in the nearby town, 5 minutess ride away. Our room was modern, clean with comfortable beds. There was plenty of secure parking for our 2 motorcycles. Breakfast was good. A most enjoyable one night stay.

    + Dogs allowed (12€) + Free parking+ Beautiful Location+ Good breakfast

Is really complaining on a high level, because the hotel was good:- We stayed 1 night and the price for the dog was 12,-€, in my opinion rather high compared to other stays we made in Catalonia.- It was a very long pillow that you had to share ? It was comfortable, but unusual.
