And the best part is, you never have to leave the property -- it has everything you could possibly need on site. Explore Amish life on an Amish buggy ride, play games at the arcade, pet animals at the zoo. There's also a restaurant on-site, Casey Jones' Restaurant, and for a late-night snack, guests can stop by the take-out ice cream parlor, Janie Jones’.

- Fun place to stay since it's so unique. Close to many fun things. Beautiful area.
- We liked the location. It was close to everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was good but the service was a little slow. I was excited at first to stay in a caboose but I must admit I was a little disappointed when we got there. I think it was a lot of money for what you got. I asked housekeeping what was the best cars to stay in. So we may try one of those in the future.

The rooms, or the cabooses, were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding grounds were wonderful to take evening walks or watch the Strasburg Railroad steam trains pass through. A small petting zoo, Amish buggy rides, and the Toy Train Museum are a very short walking distance from the cabooses. You park your car along side the caboose you are staying in. The Strasburg Railroad and Pennsylvania Train Museum are within a mile from the motel. Beautiful views of the Amish farms. The Casey Jones restaurant was a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommend the Red Caboose Motel.
