It was a remote sanctuary with a pristine view

I can’t think of anything that I did not like about this property, except that they desperately need a shower curtain because it’s hard to shower without making a mess all over the bathroom.

A beautiful place with unique charm and history. Unusual, tastefully renovated interiors, but retaining the character of the monastery. Relatively easy to get to. Breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Clean and spacious room. Comfortable beds. Large bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. Bathrobes, which is a big plus. Deck chairs and a table with chairs on the terrace next to the room. Quiet and pleasant. An ideal place for a trip out of town and a weekend for two. Very friendly service. Large free parking lot. There is an elegant restaurant on site. Good breakfast. Nevertheless, thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.

The only negative is the limited selection of vegetarian dishes. They are on the menu (there is even a set menu for vegetarians), but unfortunately they are extremely tasteless and bland. If there is such a small selection of dishes for vegans and vegetarians, they should at least be good and tasty. The breakfast is good and there is a large selection of products, but either the juicer parts, oranges, or glasses are missing. We had to ask for napkins, tea cups, and spices. No veggies at all. The breakfast service is quite slow or non-existent. A slight change in these two areas, i.e., tasty and edible dishes for vegetarians (onions in several forms - a cold and inedible dish; polenta with vegetables - bland and expressionless - tasted like a warm vegetable salad (“Russian salad”)) and restaurant breakfast service - and it will be the perfect place. Nevertheless, thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful old abbey, wonderful setting and views

The propreté wants to keep the authentique ambiance of when the monks lives here, but felt the bathroom could have been modernised slightly to make it a little more luxourious

Absolutely stunning location with a spectacular view. Good parking facilities. Close to town but very quiet. Room with a spacious terrace. Room itself a little bit small but in generally convenient. Everything already quite old but very clean. Staff very nice.

The position is amazing with spectacular views

The drive up is not good as evidently rain had washed the drive away 2 weeks ago and no repairs undertaken … our car bottomed out several times. Staff seemed disinterested… our evening meal was mediocre and mainly luke warm. The stay was for a 70th birthday celebration and we were both completely underwhelmed. During breakfast this morning a customer sliced his finger badly sat with blood dripping everywhere and not much assistance given. On check out the young man passed us the bill and didn’t even ask if we had enjoyed our stay … we will not be returning which is a shame as the position of the hotel is stunning ..,

The room was spacious with a beautiful view, overlooking the abbey and its surroundings. The property offers generous open areas, making it especially comfortable if you’re traveling with a dog. Breakfast was delicious, and the bed provided a very comfortable night’s sleep.

It definitely does not feel like a 4-star experience. Improvements are needed in both cleanliness and facilities. The bathrobe had a chlorine smell, and while the towels were clean, they still had old stains. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned — there were a few hairs left behind, which is disappointing for a hotel of this standard.The welcome could have been much more informative. It was unclear what was available and which services we could use. For example, the restaurant was closed, but we had to ask several times and wait before finding out if we could order food. Since we visited in September, perhaps it was off-season, but there was no clear information about whether the swimming pool or other amenities were open.I would have expected a proper introduction at check-in, so we wouldn’t have to figure everything out ourselves.

Beautiful building in an old monastery and you stay in the monks rooms. The location has some of the best views Ive seen in a while and there are loads of nice walks around the area. The pool was one of the best parts of the hotel - so peaceful and a great size. We ate for dinner one night in the restaurant and the food was brilliant and they even had gluten free bread. The breakfast was simple but nice and the fresh OJ machine was delcious!

The hotel is getting a little old now and tired and might need a few updates (Air conditioning, bathrooms, hairdryers etc). It would have been good if they also served drinks by the pool (its what I would normally expect of a 4 star hotel and it probably would be good business for them!) But it was perfect for us for a few night stay and for the price we felt it was well worth the money. Would throughly recommend.

very very very old air condition ( if hot summer, in your room would be around 28 and more even with AC on) :-(so many lawn mowers and DIY items in your way from hotel to swimming pool, maybe try little more decoration and hide this stuff for workers :-(

The location, the character of the property and the staff were amazing.

It feels like the hotel has been neglected by the previous owners. The new owners look like they are working on improvements but not reached all of the parts of the hotel..I booked a suite with air conditioning and so there was a different area for our son to sleep in. However the room felt neglected and the area where my son was sleeping was so warm he was unable to sleep due to the AC not reaching his part of the room. The area we were in felt very much like a staff area and could be improved by making some simple updates eg painting the chipped doors, better pillows on the bed, black curtains. This is hotel could be so much better very easily.

View was really great; breakfast was lovely.

Pool environment too basic, room and bathroom too dated and small and too dated; public spaces less inviting and quite dark.

The views are breathtaking. Every room is different and all have a special enchantment. We stay many times in this property and last time we were in a stone tower with a balcony overlooking Salome de Provence. Other times we had a private terrace what is lovely and enjoy! A lot of ventilation in the rooms and bathrooms. Lovely sauna in outdoors terrace. Great restaurant. Lovely staff. Super relaxing! Quiet! Beautiful outdoor swimming pool, fountain with sparkling and natural water, footballing, ping pong, chess, kids enjoy the property as parents relax in a very beautiful place.

Excellent, picturesque location. It was a great place to stay with a young child and a dog. Very relaxing and quiet environment with beautiful views and interesting architecture. The staff were excellent too, very friendly and responsive to our queries. The room was very clean and spacious, with a nice patio and little balcony. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options and local flavours. The restaurant was also nice for dinner at least once. Finally, the pool area was very nice in good location within the property.

Overall we loved our stay. Since we were travelling with our child, we missed having a small fridge in the room and room service for food in the room. We managed that by going to the nearby town, but it would have been very helpful to have that because of its somewhat isolated location.

Location and atmosphere is nice.

Baguette on breakfast was not nice, not true french one. Could not be forgiven. Breakfast and dinner with same menu everyday.

Dinner options were limited and quality a little disappointing.

Staying in a historic old building with sweeping views of the landscape. The staff we met on Reception who were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I also had some nice swims in the pool.

The food! The menu was extremely limited and given we were there for four nights it would have got very boring. However, we only ended up eating there on our first two nights. The first night the meal was ok but for Euros 55 a head it should have been more than just ok! The wine was Euros 40 upwards a bottle. On our second night the service was ridiculously slow and when the food came out it was tough and inedible. We gave up and the staff seemed to do so too as they went into hiding with the youngest team member only coming out! There were plenty of staff and we found it interesting that if you sat on the main terrace pre-dinner no-one would come out and ask you what you would like to drink. You had to go and find someone and then they would get it! We didn’t eat there after the second night. Reception did take the food off our bill for that night and were nice about it. It was annoying though as it meant we had to go out to eat and that meant driving down to a nearby town. Housekeeping was not all it should be - the attention to detail wasn’t there. I had to go and ask for a dustpan and broom because after a day out we came back to a floor that clearly hadn’t been swept! There was a grubby shower curtain around the shower and the room fridge was dirty. The pool was nice but could have been kept cleaner and there were lots of weeds around the paving stones and where there might have been flowers once there were more weeds. This also was the case throughout the outdoor areas immediately around the hotel. It was scruffy. We felt let down by our stay and definitely not value for money. It could have been so much better.

Amazing converted Abbey, spectacular views across the valley, our room was large with a huge terrace out front and another on the roof. The interior was original brick with narrow stairways and big windows and doors. Definitely an experience. Staff were really helpful, especially calling Hertz when our TGV was over an hour late and their office was closing. Restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent. A great place to use as a base to explore Provence.

Some cushions on the outdoor chairs would have been nice, it was a bit wet so maybe they didn’t want to put them out, but we sat outside quite a bit, plus something to sit on on the roof terrace too.
