WestCord Hotel Schylge

The hotel was great, even the possibility to hire a bike (9€ for normal bikes and 22€ for electric bikes). Breakfast included, it was amazing with a large variety of food including gluten free bread. Silent and big bedrooms, with a mini terrace to see the sea.

The swimming pool was not bad, but the water was a bit cold.

Everything was as expected. Stayed here several times before.

The cups in the room smelt as though they had been washed with disinfectant - maybe same cloth used as is used to clean toilet...

Comfortable, clean , well appointed rooms. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff and a super restaurant. Will definitely be back next time I'm on Terschelling.

That we could see the sunrise from the room, and the fact that there are more attractions like bowling, sauna, and swimming pool. Breakfast has a lot of options!

The pillows, which are either too big/tall or too hard. Could not sleep well because of that.

Great location, walking distance from the heart of West-Terschelling where all the shops and restaurants can be found. Our seafront “studio” had a wonderful view on the marina. The restaurant was very nice, we are well and the personnel was very friendly. We could rent bikes and store them in the garage.

Excellent Location and comfortable beds

Rooms not overlooking the harbor were next to the busiest street in town. The rooms have no airco, so everyone was sweating through the night. To stay cool, one had to ooen the door to the balcony and endure the noise from the street. Due to the lack of (trained) staff, the tables in the restaurant were not clean.

Some bedrooms have no window. Could use some maintenance here and there (some broken/damaged furniture in the room, rusty radiator) but this is an aging thing, still overall it was a well cleaned room. While the breakfast was good, it was presented a bit messy; such as rotten fruit still laying around.

Very nice spacious room and big bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Great view at the sea. Beds were good and big.

Location was good for our needs

Breakfast - looked as though some things were not replenished quick enough. Fresh fruit was empty and bacon also almost empty. We could hear the bowling alley from our room which was a little irritating. The bedrooms in the studio do not have windows so were very hot and therefore we did not sleep well.

Very customer focussed staff (this is rare in the Netherlands). Rooms were lovely -Westcord has done really well to modernise an old building. Food in the restaurant was fabulous.

Only lamps for lighting. No central light from the ceiling. I realise that this is normal in the Netherlands.

View was great. Room was very comfortable. Great shower.

The rooms were very clan and I had bathtub. I especially liked the corridors with different animals next to every door. There‘s a nice view from the restaurant. The receptionist offered breakfast for take away as I had to leave before 7 am.

the position was perfect and the fact that you could rent the electric bikes with them.

The rooms are a bit old but overall everything functioning.

The breakfast was good.

The beds and pillows were not comfortable, the upper matrace was sliding from the bed frame. and the blankets were too thin and light. for the rest, it was a nice and comfortable.
