Pros +
- The location was really close to downtown that we were able to walk to or ride bikes.
- Very nice place and loved the front desk
- The location was great and the room was available
Cons -
- Disappointing Stay – Would Not RecommendOur recent two-night stay at this hotel was unfortunately one of the worst experiences we’ve had while traveling. From the moment we arrived, we encountered several issues that made our visit uncomfortable and frustrating. Both mornings, we woke up feeling congested, only to feel better once we were outside in the fresh air. We later discovered black mold in the hallway stairwell near our room, which was deeply concerning. The lack of an elevator made accessing our second-floor room extremely inconvenient, especially with young children and multiple bags. The room itself had an unpleasant odor—an odd combination of mustiness and something similar to pet urine. It was also uncomfortably warm upon arrival (around 80 degrees), and took quite a while to cool down to a livable temperature. Cleanliness was another issue: we found spiders in the bathroom and, disturbingly, the toilet had visible fecal stains when we arrived—clear evidence that it had not been properly cleaned.Sleep quality was poor. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and unlike every other hotel we’ve stayed in, there were not enough pillows—only 3 per bed, compared to the usual 4. Both my husband and I woke up with stiff necks. The continental breakfast was disappointing. The options were sparse and poorly stocked: there was sausage gravy available, but nothing to pair it with. The waffle station was out of syrup, and the remaining items were unappetizing. The pool area was no better. The lounger chairs were broken and dirty, making it an uninviting space for parents to relax while their children swim. One of the most disappointing aspects of our stay was the failure to follow through on a small but meaningful request. When booking, I requested a simple birthday note in the room to surprise our daughter for her 10th birthday. I received confirmation that this would be arranged at no extra cost. However, there was no note upon arrival.
- No hot water in the evening. Dirty, dingy hallways and extremely dated walls, furniture and fixtures
- The price did not match the overall condition of the hotel. It is in need of an update. The hallways were quite narrow and it was hard to pass the carts and other people. The carpet was worn, the ceramic was chipped, and the window was dirty.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was excellent. The air conditioning worked.
