Hotel Restaurant Bahnhof

Everybody was very welcoming! We enjoyed a great dinner with Wiener Schnitzel and it could not have been better! The Hotel and our room was clean and nice, breakfast was perfect. It is a calm and warm atmosphere and for sure we will come back :-)

Cheap towel, plain room, bed

Having parking was great! I liked more what was around the property. There was a grocery store across the street and a train station.

They NEED to change their hand towels and bath towels. They were so old and faded! No absorbency at all and felt scratchy. With the amount of money they charged, they should purchase new towels. Also, the breakfast was very mediocre.

No soundproof, old furniture, i was in a room to enter from laundry room.. everything was cracky, i could hear all the footsteps

2nd floor without a lift, towels were wrinkled and stiff so I don't know if they were clean or not (we didn't take a shower because of that..), no window in the room (to be precise, there was a window where you could see a balcony, which has now become a bedroom!!), breakfast only the basics..

Good location. The train station is about 30m in front of the building which is great. Very quiet and comfortable though. Check in until late is available.

Breakfast options were quite limited. I would say that the breakfast was about 6-7/10.I expected to have a small fridge in the room.

Old Switzerland

The stairs with luggage were every hard. Make sure people know when you day the the hotel is closed it is CLOSED no one there.

Lots of free parking. Easy collection of keys after-hours. Very clean and modern interior. Friendly staff.

The car is very idle if you travel by both car or train. Breakfast was really good.

Clean,basic accommodation which was excellent value by Swiss standards. Very good restaurant. Located 15 minutes from Bern by train.

Steep stairs to reach bedrooms

Beds were really good and room was nice and big. Staff was really friendly and breakfast was good. I really liked coffe.

TV had only German channels.

Breakfast was good quality and delicious, with good variety. Cheeses were superb. The room was silent, clean, well-organised, with huge window that almost functioned like a tiny balcony. The window opened for a small meadow with tiny lambs (and a couple of attached moms), so in the morning I woke up for the fresh village air and the soft occasional meee-s of the lambs. I can really recommend, great fun. Bed was very comfi; I spent there 3 nights, and I slept really well there. This small hotel also has a superb location: train takes only 14 minutes to Bern Main Station, the hotel is just on the other side of the road, but still: during these 3 days I never heard (or saw) the trains from the hotel at all. Also the view from my window was nice. All in all: great stay! I can only recommend. The hotel seems like a family-run enterprise, and there is a restaurant, open for quite long, downstairs. Still, staying on the first floor, I never heard any noise or voices from the restaurant either.

The stairs. I am OK with having no elevator (it is a small hotel, and it should be no problem to climb to the first floor), but the stairs were pretty narrow. For me this was not a problem, but if somebody is with larger/heavier luggage, or older people with not so good balance - these narrow steps can be dangerous.

In a smaller town. Nice country drive out to the town. Nice walking path out back of the property. Good breakfast.

Our room's only window opened to another small room. The windows had been left open in that room so we could get some ventilation if we so desired. Someone has smoked in that room prior to us checking in, so when we opened our window it smelled horrible of smoke. Since there was no AC we had to put up with the smoke smell in order to stay cooler. Invited 4 mosquitos in.

Good breakfast. Fine room and large bathroom. Good shower. Nice view of the train station. No noise. Nice building.

Little bit hard to find the juice or get a boiled egg.

The staff was nice and helpful. We were able to take the breakfast as takeaway, since we left before 7 am. The hotel is pet friendly and quiet. The parking is free of charge. Right across the street is the train station and a small shop. Bern is 20 minutes away and is very beautiful. Your can also find a gas station near the hotel.

It was very hot in the room and there was no air conditioning or ventilator. We knew this before booking (AC). We left the windows open during the night, but since the window faces a terrace, on which the people sometimes stay, we had to use the curtains over the window, so that we had privacy and no one could see inside. Because of this, the air didn't circulated properly and it was not cooling down. We were there only 2 nights. But for the dog was not so chilling.

Hotel was basic but very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was travelling with dog and there were no dog surcharges and a good dog walk behind the hotel

It was a little further from Bern than I thought. Was only 20 mins on train but cost 9CHF each way. The restaurant and bar closed on Sunday and nothing open nearby
