Super 8 by Wyndham Port Elgin

The carpet in the room was damp, dirt on walls that looked like a pop had exploded and not been cleaned. The hot tub closed, indoor pool had flooring cut out in a metre square and then another piece set covering it but not secured light burnt out in sauna

Breakfast was decent

The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The Washroom floor was slippery. There was mould in washroom. Worst part was cockroaches in the coffee machine.

Full Breakfast, indoor and outdoor pool, exercise room, laundry room and lots of other places just outside the hotel. The beach is very close by.

Location was good and staff was great.

Someone messed up my booking and I didn¿t get a suite that I thought I booked. Had to get another room so paid $--- for 5 people for 1 night. Terrible value for money .

Clean, and well maintained, and with a good location and many amenities you wouldn't expect from a super 8 hotel. This place sets the gold standard for what all motels could/should be like!

Noise travelled through rooms and hallways, but thankfully are staying were quiet and peaceful.

HOTEL DID NOT CONTROL A LARGE WEDDING GROUP . THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE THAT WERE NOT PATRONS OF YOUR HOTEL ROAMING THE HALLS TALKING LOUD,AND SLAMMING DOORS ,FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR AND A HALF,FROM BEFORE 3AM TILL AFTER 4 AM, WAKEING US FROM A SOUND SLEEP.

The incredible prompt service provided by their friendly staff.

The breakfast did have variety although it would be much more enjoyable if there were more options available and if the coffee was of better quality. It would also be wonderful if pets were allowed with restrictions of course.

Hotel staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Hotel smelled and looked very clean.

One hot tub was broken and the other one was not very hot ... Jets were not all working very well

The manager - is fantastic. very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

There was blood on the bedding (it looked like the housekeeper may have cut her finger while making the bed). I had to request new bedding and the front desk lady wasn't overly friendly.The hot tub was broken (again).

Incredible staff - so helpful and kind. Heated bathroom floo! Beautiful indoor pool and a really hot hot tub. Good breakfast choices and my room was large.

I was there in winter/ wish it was summer!

I requested a wheel chair room because my husband cannot walk and you didn’t inform the motel of that and I order to stay the staff asked a lady to move from her room so we could stay there .We were coming to Port Elgin for my sister’s funeral after a 2 hr drive and decided to stay there night but had made reservations several days before. I would never recommend this website to anyone. Janet

Location was amazing and the outdoor pool (while not the cleanest) was the highlight for my 6 year old.

The room was not overly clean. There was a wet face towel left behind the toilet, what looked like feces smeared on the door (not sure what it was) and the carpet turned my feet black in seconds. While our concerns were handled quickly, I felt housekeeping did a poor job.

Room was clean. We didnt access the pool. The hot tub was nice.

The breakfast was good and refreshed with hot food. Lots of variety available. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It would be a great place to travel in the summer with children to access the pool from your patio door

I am not a fan of the heater/ac beside the bed. Even on low fan it blew too hard so we had to turn off at night and then the room was too warm and stuffy. Our room had the option to connect with the room beside us. There were customers in there and we could easily hear them talking after we were down for the night. If the hotel is not full-as it wasn't, leave that room empty .
