Novotel Lyon Gerland

Hotel employee at the front desk was great. She remembered us from the first day. The staff we interacted with were overall ok.

The water had a strange smell in the building. The floor had a defuser that created a strong smell, which made us feel like it was hiding something. The pillows and bed we not a good match and hurt our backs and neck. The ceiling was visibly patched up.

Good breakfast, close to tramway stop, safe, reasonable price with children

Room is narrow with children, furnatures and bathroom to be renewed.

Superb breakfast. Family-friendly. The start were genuinely friendly, accomodating & spoke both French & English fluently.

The pool area seemed a bit tired. Could do with a refurbishment and some attention.

Rooms very small, very dated, strong smell of unpleasant cleaner in corridors, rooms could be cleaner (hairs/mould in bathrooms). Sheets/towels-very clean. Breakfast was hectic.

Very good location, small rooms for 4 persons but modern.

In general it could be more clean, specially the windows around the pool where very dirty.

Property ok as English difficult in finding the turning a little and disabled parking not adequate one space allocated two car parking very close together difficulty in getting out probably would not stay because of this again

The staff were very helpful. It’s a nice place to stay. Comfortable beds. Clean.They have an average restaurant that made it possible for us not to have to take a taxi into town for food.

I thought from the description that the hotel is close to old town, but it is far away. It also does not appear to be in the best part of town.

Breakfast was amazing! Kid friendly hotel, clean, parking is convenient and staff were friendly.

Bed mattress was soft and a little uncomfortable.

The family room was to small for a family of 4.

The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is superb. Location is close to the tram so very easy to get to the city centre and for sightseeing.

If I had to say I would say we would have liked to have some water in the minbar and enough tea and milk in the room

The room facilities are renewable and in good condition

Upon arrival, I observed that the bed sheet was soiled and had a noticeable mark. I reported this to the front desk and requested a replacement; however, the sheet was not changed as requested.

Unfortunately our room was poorly cleaned, there hair in the bathroom from the previous guests. The air conditioning did not work, just made a lot of noise. In the room it was very warm and loud, almost impossible to sleep. Breakfast was ok. The staff was friendly.

Hotel was at a nice location.

When you pay more than 150€ for one day stay and you sweat in the room during midnight, with AC not working and no solution upfront but only this statement that it’s the same in all the rooms in the hotel, you only can regret for your selection

Breakfast was good. Your traditional fare of dairy, fruits and fry up. While only a small buffet, it was very well thought out and I particularly enjoyed the variety of superfood/grains that were on offer.

Close to the center. Great to see the river from our room.
