Danfords Hotel & Marina

There wasn't much to say about the section that we stayed in. The people in the room above us were either dancing or fighting half of the night!!! While trying to watch TV all we could hear was the noise from the room above us!!!

The idea that as a handicap person and haveing to stay in a third floor room was absured. No elevators, outside WALK UP room was insane. We were moved across the road into this other building that all in all I would never recomend this place to anyone!

The receptionist Meg was wonderful. Very kind

We checked into the room and left right away. Mistake! We were out the whole night and didn¿t return until 3am. The AC was extremely loud the bed very uncomfortable and we woke up to an army of ants on our dresser! Needless to say we left at 6:30am.

The view was great! The rooms are renovated. The staff was helpful-  the manager . Live music , lively crowds- not a place to come if you want quiet relaxation.

Nice location in and around port Jefferson first class accommodation and beautiful scenery.

Parking can be hard

The water view room that was not available upon arrival. The room we did end up in had a heat pump system that made excessive noise. The hotel ultimately switched us to water view room but that was after lots of complaint, waiting, changing holiday plan

There was no chair or place to sit in our room, one of the two lights in the bathroom was out, the towel rack was broken in the bathroom.

We paid for a room that included a fireplace, this was a gift for my niece for her honeymoon. They did not receive the room that was purchased and was given a room just with a king bed . Very disappointed ¿¿

everything is disconnected. dining room kitchen closed at 8:50 pm advertised open until 10. Supervision, coordination was random. Location on the main drag should warrant better sound proofing. Saw them installing headboards - nice touch. Overall good,

Beautiful location right next to the Port Jefferson ferry and walking distance to village restaurants and shops.

The front desk staff could have been more attentive.

Did not meet expectations. Heard good things about it and found blinds dirty, childs toy under coffee table, no face cloths and very little to no space in bathroom for putting your essentials. Restaurant breakfast not hot, disappointing, waffle was half.

Location on the water and walking distance to town/shops/restaurants. The staff were super friendly and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

My room was on the street with lots of noise traffic. It did not really bother me much but other might find it bothersome.

There was alot of confusion on our arrival, driving rain and wedding going on, no parking, had to walk in rain with many bags, reception was busy with other things, didnt get our keys so had to go back and same person not there. B reakfast was very slow

Staff was amazing. Watching them deal with entitled customers & guests was impressive & above the call of duty. Location was ideal with a beautiful view

Fireplaces in rooms only work during certain months & no pool.
