Loved the room and the Halcyon spa

Duvet material was very noisy! It was difficult to sleep

Warm cookies on arrival and friendly reception staff. Nice swimming pool and a good restaurant with wide choice of dishes. Our room was clean and spacious.

On the day of our check out the pool was unavailable to guests for an hour due to an aqua aerobics class. There was no notification of this given to guests in advance. We managed to have a 10 minute swim before the pool became packed with ladies standing in groups in the water chatting and reserving their "spots" 15 minutes before their class started. Disappointing for our 8 year old who was very keen to practise her swimming before we checked out. We had booked this hotel as it has a pool.

The staff were fabulous, so genuinely warm and helpful. The pool and spa were the the nicest, cleanest facilities and were exceptional.

Not much we didn't like. The breakfast waant amazing so we didn't bother on our second morning. We found the bar menu quite expensive for dinner.

The pool. Bed was so comfortable. Everywhere was clean.

Food was just ok. The room we were in looked over a roof where generators were located. I assume for heating etc. There was an annoying drone from them. Thought breakfast was very poorly organised as things very spaced out around the room.If queue at coffee machine the access to fruit and yoghurt was awkward.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious and spotless. It had everything we needed for our short stay and we really enjoyed our time at Doubletree.

There was a door in our bedroom that led through to the next room beside us. We could also hear the people in the room beside us very clearly. The room was very hot and we couldn't change it on the AC

Housekeeping was very nice caffe as well nice

The steam room was on work progress they have onther steam room but I can’t used they charge extra £20 how if that one is close they must charge free the other one because I prefer the hotel I was thinking steam room was working and onther thing on restaurant the stuff is hmmm special the one supervisor on break fast time y respectfully person

The staff are always amazing here. The hotel has a lovely relaxing vibe.

No long mirror in the rooms anymore. IWas disappointed that the steam room was not working.

Dinner was absolutely beautiful

Unable to sleep due to people arging in a room above us. Not the hotel fault. The pool waa a bit too cold along with jacuzzi. Also steam room out of order

Loved the pool ... and the size of the room

Had to request slippers & robes as we were short - the bathroom had bikini bottoms left laying under the sink., which means the bathroom wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Which left me questioning how thorough the rest of the cleaning was. I also wasnt really impressed with the response from staff when I informed them. For the money paid for these rooms I expected higher standards . Apart from this ... the stay was great. Shame it put a little spoiler on our stay.

Nice chilled night away off work , relax with the wife hotel is amazing firstly rested and wind down in the health spa well deserved rest , food was amazing complement to kitchen staff, best night sleep had in a long time beds unreal

Everything really staff is amazing always ready to help in every way hotel is so clean we live local and just even love to chill with glass wine most everything’s in hotel and would stay over once a month

Great hotel, recently refurbished to a high standard. Tasty food at breakfast and dinner

Men’s changing room for the pool is small and not directly at the pool. Minor issue but I understand work to open a new men’s changing room is delayed

Hotel was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Food was amazing

Pool could off been warmer

The hotel looks newly upgraded, and they definitely did it right. Everything feels fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean. Restaurant was not too bad and quick service.

Snag list needs to be completed in the rooms from these upgrades. Minor details but a mirror in the room and toilet roll holder in the bathroom really should be added.

The facilities were great and the hotel room was very clean.

I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. Entertainment wasn’t great the night we stayed and drinks are quite dear.

Amazing pillows room very clean and door between room and bathroom so very quiet and no traffic noises Surrounds very picturesque Staff 100% lovely!Food lovely.

Don't understand the £150 Damage waiver. Hilton Caledonian did not require this when we stayed there

Superb hotel with wonderful leisure facilities and spa. A large comfortable room, with above par complimentary in room drink / biscuit options. Staff at reception and the leisure club were very professional & friendly.

The only thing I was not enamoured with during this stay was the staff demographic in the restaurant during the evening. The staff in all other areas, including staff within the restaurant during breakfast were highly professional however; the younger demographic within the restaurant were as a collective not in keeping with a relaxing environment. They were loudly gossiping and giggling between themselves which when trying to have a quiet dining experience after a long day, is rather out of the norm when it comes to other hotels in the same higher end bracket. In effect the staff within the dining room were not all professional; it was more like a few hours paid social. This is the only thing that slightly marred an otherwise superb stay and having stayed here previously, I will most definitely return when on business in the area.
