Good position, clean and good value

Probably ready for a refurbish? Especially the bathroom

The hotel itself is a stone's throw from the main town which is great if you want to walk in to town and have an evening - the pool is very welcome and we were travelling across N Spain to Rioja on motorcycles and needed a comfy, clean and AC'd place which the Sercotel delivers in spades - lovely modern room with cool interior and clean bathroom and shower - excellent price for the level of accomodation and would go back and stay again if I was travelling this way - the breakfast was very good and a buffet which you can eat as much as you like, if you want to. Staff friendly and spoke English - Pool very clean and attended by a staff member -

NOthing - there is nothing to dislike

The pool was nice (very attentive employee, he was great!). The lady at the reception in the evening was also very helpful when we asked for hot water for our babies bottle.

The room was quite noisy (we were unlucky with out neighbourghs, who played loud music all night and ended with a screaming fight). We did not call reception for this, our mistake, but also no understanding from the employee at reception the next morning. Rooms were outdated: bed and bathroom worn out and moldy.

Airconditioning

Pool limited working hours, everything was quite old and not the best quality, relatively clean. Overall medium, booked only for the pool because of a very hot day and it turned out to be closed most of the time

A bit dated, one A/C unit in room did not work, they don’t mention that the pool is let out to local schools, so before 2pm it is full of kids ( like…hundreds…haha )

The location and the helpfulness of the staff. The beds were also very comfortable.

We stayed in two rooms, one was lovely with nice colour on the walls and warm light, the other was white with white lights and felt quite cold and tired. The bathroom could do with a revamp. Our shower head had to be tested on the floor as the holder was not stable.

The accommodation exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were professional and attentive, ensuring that my business trip went smoothly. The room was impeccably clean and equipped with all the modern amenities, making my stay very comfortable.

It's challenging to pinpoint anything I didn't like given the high standard of service. However, every establishment can benefit from continuous improvement, perhaps in updating some facilities or expanding the breakfast variety even further.

Rather disappointing

There was nowhere to park we had to leave the car 3/4 mile away and carry our luggage + 3 small children. The shower in one room did not work. The swimming pool did not open until 11 and we had to leave then, it was one of the reasons for choosing the hotel!

Average hotel walking distance to restaurants and town Center. Was clean and tidy basic hotel. There was on site restaurant and bar which is a plus. Food was great. Free Parking available. Pool and gardens.

Bedrooms were ok, decent view.

I was very disappointed that the pool was closed, its the only reason we booked this hotel and we went in June so was expecting it to be open. Booking.com clearly stated it was open and the pictures would also imply so. I couldn't find anywhere that said it would be closed. It caused us to leave early for a hotel with a pool.

The location is good. Can walk to the historic area in 5 minutes.

The hotel is tired and worn. Seems to cater to tour groups, and banquets. No restaurants, just a small cafe/bar. Photos showed a nice outdoor area with grass, seating area and a pool. I was to it was not accessible. It basically ok if you are just looking for a place to sleep.

We liked the hotel and it's localization. I had information that gluten free diet would be in the hotel, but the waitress did not know anything about it.

Breakfast was pretty basic and not worth 12 euros per person.

One of our rooms was located next to a very noisy guest. We didn’t sleep at all which meant a very tiring journey the next day. The bed was big but extremely hard. When we arrived at 3pm all food was shut until 8.30pm. Booking.com says cafe open all day. This is not the case. Swimming pool very small and need updating.

the staff were friendly

it was very tired, decor was in poor condition, with holes in the walls & marks all over the walls too. bathroom was not clean & shower was not nice at all. the family in the next room we’re smoking & you could hear everything through the walls, their tv, their children & even conversations. the pool was in disrepair, sun beds broken and not very inviting. food was expensive too. not great no idea how the hotel has 4 stars ?

Great location and good value for money for whoever has a car : it is very easy to park the car on the street (even though not mentioned in the hotel description at least when we went there i.e. out of season). Lovely and helpful staff

The breakfast could have been better : not many things on offer and quality average

People and receptionist were really nice, probably the only good thing about it.

Beds were quite uncomfortable.Bathroom's shower was a disaster, almost no water was running and it was really difficult to open the tap, it was probably quite rusty.Some furniture, the armchair in particular, were really dirty and old-looking.

Nice location by the river and adjacent to a well maintained public park. Hotel itself was, in its time, a very grand place but now is showing its age.

Lifts to the rooms, very good, however if you want breakfast one has to descend a long flight of stairs to reach the dining room. If at all disabled I would avoid this hotel.
