No, it exceeded our expectations.

the under stated quite sense of calm.

I loved the location, it was so nice to stay on the premises of the Alhambra.we also really enjoyed the breakfast and the terrace area.

I thought the room was pretty standard though. It didn’t feel like it matched the price we paid.

The grounds are beautiful, however some of the gardens were closed due to renovation. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast offering has a good range of food choices for all. Dinner in the restaurant offers beautiful views and food was delicious!

Bathrooms need updated - (tall soaking tubs could be converted to showers) floors squeaked badly I felt sorry for the people below me.

Grounds of the hotel were nice

they were not able to accommodate a queen bed request. We ended up getting two twin beds. AC didnt work and front desk staff was every unhelpful until second day. Although the location of the hotel is in the main attraction, it is far from the rest of the city. I would stay somewhere in the city and go up to this area one time instead of the other way around.

Loved the property. Beautifully appointed well designed rooms. Helpful staff, lovely well prepared meals. Fabulous location within the walls of the Alhambra. Highly recommend.

The history of the building and its location are exceptional. The overall esthetic is hard to beat.

The value just isn’t there. At the price point the place should be near perfect. The bar/cafeteria are out of a university or good train station. There was construction going on before 7am and after 6PM. There was a fridge in the room but no fresh milk. None of this would be an issue if not for the price.I have stayed at this property several times. I’ve had a twenty year break and was hoping for better.

Location was fabulous, especially the terrace restaurant, where we ate all our meals except breakfast. Breakfast was lovely.

Some of the staff was less than cordial.

The aircon didn't work and the hotel staff changed us to a smaller room but told us it was an "upgrade" which clearly was not because the room was so much smaller and the bathroom had worse function (the original one had the massage heads) and with no views (the original one had a nice garden view)Also there was a opera concert of sorts but we were not informed or shared with such information by the hotel.

One of the most enjoyable hotel experiences in my life. Getting to sleep in the former Monastery of San Francisco, inside the historical Alhambra site, is a once in a lifetime experience. The staff at the front desk welcome you with a wealth of knowledge. The rooms are clean and offer amazing views of the gardens. Even more exciting than the spectacular breakfast, is having dinner on the restaurant terrace. Enjoying the four-course Halal dinner celebrating the cuisine of the Nasrid Kingdom, for just 39 Euros, while watching the sun go down over the Generalife Gardens, is one of my most memorable experiences from my recent trip to Spain and definitely the best meal, although the Cochinillo at Jose Maria in Segovia comes in at a close second for quality of food, but nothing beats the view of the Generalife Gardens. Although some people may flinch at the price, initially, once you realize how much you get out of the experience there is no denying that it trumps the other lodging possibilities in Grenada. It's comfortable, historical, and a memory making treat to sleep here.

Stepping into the bath, which is a bit high, would be facilitated by installing a grip bar to help prevent slipping. The opening to the toilet area of the bathroom is a bit tight since it entails two glass panels that are not moveable.

Location, history, comfort all exceptional. Staff prompt, courteous, helpful and friendly. Dinner was excellent. Wine recommendation welcome. Breakfast was brilliant with much more than the standard breakfast choices

Nothing fell short of high expectations. Perhaps a roadmap from last roundabout, or link to gate; a trivial matter. Everyone in town knew how to direct.

We both suffered from food poisoning from a dinner.

Beautiful tranquil and serene setting

Staff was underwhelming and lacked much presence at reception and the property. Did not go out of their way to assist us sightseeing suggestions etc.

Nice room and hotel. However there was construction at the property limiting access and was noisy.

Website said there was a pool but there was none. We couldn't go to the Generalife gardens as I expected.

We had just a little trouble getting to the Parador but the hotel sent extremely detailed instructions that were helpful. The room had a lovely view of the Generalife gardens and the property was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever stayed in. Yes, it’s pricey and breakfast and parking are extra but it is a once in a lifetime experience.

It seems like the Parador outdoor include a few bottles of free water in the mini bar. I did feel like I was getting itemized at checkout. The setup for touring the Alhambra and what to expect was also not very clear and led to us missing part of the tour. Not the Paradors fault, but just a long way to come to miss part of the Palaces.

Great location inside Al Hambra

Very, very very expensive room, the most I have ever paid for an hotel . . . by a very long way. The standard room was very small with a tiny window and no view. Did not meet my high expectations at all.

The location was perfect and allowed us to see some of the sites late in the day when most of thetourists had leftThe restaurant was also very nice with a good menu selections .

There was construction going on so some of the historic rooms were not available to view.We were interested in seeing the rooms that were part of the buildings historic past and were not ableto experience these because of the renovations.

The cost of the room in relation to what you receive is too high. If you MUST stay in the Alhambra complex, it is the best option. But, anything else is too much effort to get to on foot.
