Clinton Hotel South Beach

Location was good. Breakfast was exceptional. Room was good but our mattress was old and had collapsed. They did replace it but this should have been identified by housekeeping as it was an obvious issue.

The lift had broken down. We stayed three nights and it was not fixed in that time so who knows how long it had been broken.

The location is great. Staff was nice. Connected restaurant with pool was really good for the kids

The elevators are really small!!

Good location easily accessible.

You can hear nearly every noise in the hallways and other rooms. Don’t stay if you value your sleep. Every door slams closed so you end up being woken up multiple times a night/morning. The bed had a huge bleach spray across the headboard. Looked dirty. Not great for the price and the “stars”. Pool is more like a bath than a pool. Could say more but if that’s not enough to put you off go on ahead and stay there.

The room itself smelled clean.

Booked the room thru booking.com. Was told I didn’t have to pay anything extra at the hotel only to be told at the hotel that there was a $100 deposit that needed to be paid for incidentals. Would not accept cash and put a $100 hold on my card that would be refunded 7-10 business days later. Was also not told that there was no parking available at all for hotel. Had to pay an additional $40 for public parking for one nights parking and walk a few blocks back to the hotel. The hotel was under construction and hallways smelled of weed.

I really loved the location and it was super affordable.

You could hear people in the hallway and things like that, but for the price you can’t beat it.

I would have liked a kettle and chair in the room. I managed to get a chair after a day or two . Don’t ask reception to order you a cab! It cost me $65 to get a cab to bright line station.

The location was great. Nice smoothie spot next door.

Floors were dirty and Sticky. Patio door wouldn't lock which was a security issue because we were on the first floor. The water in the shower didn't get hot the entire trip, and the room was poorly lit. Could barely see while getting dressed. Definitely not worth what I spent for my stay.
