The historic Buccaneer features 131 accommodations in a country club atmosphere on 340 tropical acres. Three private beaches, three restaurants, boutiques, 18-hole golf course, spa, two pools, fitness center, jogging trail, eight tennis courts, Kid's Camp and a water sports center combine to create a luxury playground for all ages. Family-owned and operated since 1947. The Buccaneer is located 7 minutes from historic Christiansted for dining, sightseeing and boating options, and twenty minutes to St Croix’s airport. A variety of accommodations and bedding are offered, all with balconies or patios and mini-refrigerators. Cons -
- No shuttle service to the hotel - teh taxis werer a total rip off and I woudl advise anyone coming to this hotel or to St Croix to rent a car. I spent over $500 on taxis and felt isolated from town and other activities becaus eof teh cost of the taxis.

I wish this resort had more amenities at this price point, such as a hot tub. Also, it would be nice if at least one pool was heated. We were there in December and we couldn't swim in the ocean because of the rip currents, and the pool water was too cold.
