Location was perfect

Stay was exceptional. I liked having sea view room. Made the stay so much more special.

No WiFi access in breakfast area nor pool. Big downside.

Lovely old school hotel in a great location

The car park was a bit dark and didn’t give a good impression compared to the very nice hotel itself

The place itself is quite pleasant, however I cannot give more than 1 star due to serious issues with check-in and billing.

When we checked in, no one explained how to enter the hotel after the bar and reception close. My friends and I spent the whole day in Hermanus and returned to the hotel at 11:20 PM, only to find that we could not get inside. All doors were locked — both the main entrance and the side entrance. We rang the doorbell and knocked on the doors for about 10 minutes.How long do you expect guests to stand outside at night? Fortunately, my friends had rented nearby apartments and had a spare bed for me, so I had to spend the night there.The next morning at reception, I was told that we were supposed to manually slide the side doors open. And how were we supposed to guess that? You are absolutely obliged to inform guests in advance how to access the hotel after 11 PM and to provide clear, written instructions. What may seem obvious to you is not obvious to your guests.Additionally, during check-out they tried to charge me for someone else’s dinner bill. Apparently, another couple dined and simply gave my room number. Is this normal practice for your hotel? I was asked to pay solely because a charge was written under my room number in their logbook. That is not a valid argument — you need to properly verify room numbers to avoid situations like this.We spent about 30 minutes resolving this issue, while I was in a hurry to leave for the airport. In the end, a waitress confirmed that other people were actually at the table.

Duvet could of been warmer as it was quite thin for it being Winter but all was clean.

Great staff, I got recommendations for attractions and booked further servisss based on advice received.

In the middle of the good LIFE in Houtbay I was having the most fantastic stay I could think of - and extended it therefore with a few days. Spotlessly clean room with seaview, comfy bed, delicious breakfast, singing&swinging&sweet personel, nice restaurant, beautiful pool, safe parking in the shade, walking distance (across the road) to the beach. Baie dankie I will come back, with love to you all xxx

2nd floor sea view room was nice. 1st floor sea view room felt a little unsafe.Pool was spectacular and peaceful,food was great.staff were all lovely.

a door across the shower room would have been nice otherwise there is no privacy when in the shower. the moveable slatted wall is fine.

Very nice room with sea view over Hout bay. Perfect location to explore Cape Town by bike at the foot of the scenic Chapman peak road. Friendly staff. Altogether an excellent place to stay

The cleanliness of the rooms, the welcoming staff, waiters and waitresses, the food they served was scrumptious. I don't have the right words to express how great the experience is to be at Chapman's Peak Hotel. That is why my wife and I chose the Hotel for 2nd time ???

Would have preferred seafacing.Kranz or mountain side rooms on 1st floor are a bit dark.

The room, the view, the restaurant had the best fish.

There were people on the sidewalk that made a lot of noise. it was annoying.

Only stopped here for a night but the staff could not have been accommodating. The pool area with a view was beautiful.

Great situation as we have family in Hout Bay. Easy access to the beach and shops.

Historic location with contemporary high-end finishes for the lodging rooms. Complementary Breakfast was superb. Love their Cappuccino. Want to come back as we have friends who live down the lane and this is their recommendation

Seaview spacious double room in historic beach hotel in Hout Bay, a beautiful location famous for sunsets and blessed with a wide choice of restaurants and shopping.

The service is excellent, the prawns were fabulous, the bed was lovely and the open plan bathroom was very romantic

It's surprising how much we could hear of the guests opposite us. It wasn't a big problem, but worth mentioning
