Very clean, spacious room, good value.

Rooms are very dated, especially the bathroom. Did not receive any bath towels after room was serviced.

Quiet country hotel with nice garden. Parking on the premises adjacent to the building. Old world charm, large pleasant room. Close to forested area with potential for different walks.The adjacent Cox Restaurant was excellent. We visited in December and in the forest the walks were pleasant and easy to use despite recent wet weather.

Hotel could do with some refurbishment, but is still comfortable, quiet and has a good restaurant.

Fantastic location. Restaurant is superb. Small hotel which is reliably good. Second time we’ve stayed here with our dog. Great walks in the area.

Super friendly staff, literally made you feel so welcome. And the food was amazing, breakfast and dinner. Faultless. Thanks to all the team. We will return (with our two, well behaved black Labradors next time ?).

The breakfast was good but not exceptional. The location was very convenient for us as it was easily accessible from the autobahn. The hotel grounds had a good range of wildlife which was particularly interesting for us.

The room we had on our second stay, return journey from southern Germany to England, had rather small shower. We requested a walk-in or step-in shower and not a shower over a bath and that request was fulfilled but it was a very small shower.

Large comfortable rooms. Decent restaurant and lots of parking. Out of town location

Duvet was too short and pillows too thin. Minor issue, but these could be improved.

It’s a bit far from Rheinbacch, but it’s a worth to take a ride. Very nice restaurant with excellent duck Cozy rooms in old fashioned styleNice breakfast with good assortment.

Convenient location.

Awkward parking - nearly always problematic. No manned reception for arrival and daily communication. No restaurant or coffee/tea making facilities.

Beautiful location, very large room with relatively private balcony. Great restaurant with nice menu and great service. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Having small fridge and microwave is very handy. Simple but tasty breakfast included in very fair price. Very nice staff.

Breakfast was good, although for a 4 star hotel we expected a bit more offer. Extras like cappuccino or espresso coffee were also included (but had to be ordered separately. The room was big and well equipped. And there were plenty of power sockets! Including one or two on each side of the bed (some hotels still don't understand this need...).The surroundings of the hotel are amazing :)

In general it needs modernization.Some old-fashioned aspects are fine, and even nice if that's what you're looking for! But others are simply impractical or even annoying. The huge key chain attached to the room key is one of them; a key card would be an improvement.The acoustic insulation of the rooms was also very poor. The walls look fine, but all the noise seams gets through the door and you can hear everything happening on the corridor. In fact, when someone on the same floor opens their door it sounds like they are trying to access to your room (a bit scary when we heard it for the first time to be honest).Cleanliness was not bad, but there just wasn't attention to detail. The water bottle on our room was open (almost full, but open). There was a strange (bad) smell coming from the shower, which we later saw it was due to the siphon being empty of water (another aspect to be modernized). Filling it with water only solved the problem temporarily as it emptied again and the bad smell came back.

Very comfortable bed, spacious room with terrace, good meal in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast buffet also good.

I had an old fashion or classic luxury room of some 25sqm with adjacent spaceous bathroom, which was clean and well maintained. The hotel sits in the forest area in quiet surroundings which invites you to go for a walk. The place is what you expect in Germany, spaceous, large rooms, high ceilings and this old fashion appearance which makes you feel good about yourself for chosing this hotel.

The floor of the elevator is not equal to floor with the rooms, but goes with a step and having various big pieces of luggage was a bit unhandy but not too difficult to manage.

Really comfortable bed, room size, friendly staff spoke English.

The access to the hotel is up a flight of stone steps, in snow these were a little treacherous, check disabled access before arrival.

Breakfast was big and nice. Staff was friendly. Location was very nice.

Restaurant and hotel are a bit old and dated, it could use a renovation.

Lovely staff and location, quiet room with balcony. There is a restaurant and biergarten opens all day, so all is quite convenient if you dont want to leave the hotel.

A few extra products in the bathroom would have make it even better. There just was liquid soap. A little shampoo, lotion, shower cap, etc would have been a great little extra touch.

excellent location near woods for dog walks and 2 restaurants to suit tastes biergarden for casual and al a carte. i had the surprise menu with wines which was superb and good value for money. comfortable beds and personal service. By far the best hotel this summer road trip through Germany, Austria and Italy.
