Great Western Hotel Aberdeen

The price and toilet was clean, location was not bad either

I didnt like how old looking my room was, was so many holes in wall, was missing toilet roll holder, was very warm in the room,didn't enjoy

Location was ideal for city centre

The room was very tired. No chair at table. Distinct lack of electrical sockets, left with a dangerous extension lead, which we got replaced. Wardrobe shelving very dusty.

Location was ideal for an event we were attending nearby. Lovely big shower.

The room was very dark with a lack of mirrors. Could do with a full length mirror somewhere for drying and styling hair. No breakfast.

The set up was odd . Seems like the bar and restaurant are the main business and the rooms are just an add on. No staff around in the morning and no breakfast available

Staff in bar were nice

To start with it has a very small car park. There was no receptionist as such just a lady from the bar came to check us in and she didn’t know how to work the computer so took a while to actually get checked in. Once in the room the floors were so creaky. We were on the second floor so nobody above us but felt sorry for anybody below us as you couldn’t help but make a noise when you walked across the floor! The room itself was very basic and we hadn’t paid cheap for it either! The bed was small and so was the quilt. There were two pillows each but they were flatter than a pancake!! The toilet seat kept moving anytime you sat down. There was no fridge and hardly any supplies in the room. There is no breakfast served at the hotel despite them doing evening meals. The staff in the bar were lovely but that was about the only good bit about this hotel. Safe to say I won’t be staying here again unfortunately!!!

Great location in relation to my nieces house, made visiting very easy. Easy access to the bus routes for getting to and from the city centre. We enjoyed the use of the pool room, just off the bar area.Found a few cafes, within walking distance for breakfast.

Unfortunately while we were staying the fire alarm went off at 4am.......but safety first we were all out. Thankfully it was a false alarm and got back to bed for a few hours. Staff were great.

Staff smoking out back and blethering told them to keep noise down but he wasent interested didn't get much sleep

Difficult to use tv remote, reported it.Not good cleaning of bedroom as carpet still had crumbs from previous guest. Also bits under bed.

Really nice friendly staff, made me feel very welcome. Food was really nice. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy.

Helpful staff. Fresh decor. Quiet.

One towel provided for two people - no other hand towel or bathmat. Shower very modern but sprayed all over the floor. Slippery and no hand hold. One small mirror so high up I couldn't see in it. Also I was disturbed by the strong chemical smell coming from the bed linen - clean linen needs no added scent like the dreaded conditioner.
