Hotel Ivan Vautier

The location and appearance of the hotel was fantastic. The restaurant was delicious. The staff treated us very well, getting us dinner reservations and taking care of all our needs.

The shower drain was slow.

The staff was wonderful. They had one of the best "continental" breakfasts that I've had in Europe. Nice Towels, robes, baths and details. It is a small hotel so book early. There's ample off street parking if you drive over from Paris to visit WWII spots

My only regret is that the restaurant is closed on Monday evenings, the night of my stay.

Breakfast was too expensive for not having any hot dish

The hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the amenities were excellent. The staff were friendly unhelpful.

Nothing really, the overall stay was a disappointment.

The spa was not very clean, poorly maintained, smelly (mould in the jacuzzi) and badly situated (right behind the facade with windows and a door by the sidewalk). The service in this regard was ridiculous too: when we notified the staff about all those issues, they acted all surprised and in the end offered us a discount "out of principle" of 4 euros per person (17 euros instead of 21). That alone - the fact that a spa (no matter if decent or shitty) in a five-star hotel was paid - disqualifies it as a top-class hotel. Despite all that disappointment and complaints, they still charged us additional 3 euros for a simple coffee we asked for upon arrival. Avoid this place, especially since the location is terrible unless you feel like driving for 10 minutes to get to the actual downtown. Definitely not worth five stars, maybe not even four...

The wc had a very bad smell to it. The bathroom had a shower in the middle of the room, no curtain. Strange configuration.

Incredible, huge rooms with the most luxurious beds and furnishings. The bathroom was enormous with a shower and bath and top notch toiletries. Very pleased. We had lunch in the Michelin starred restaurant and it was perfect! Bravo!

Fresh, comfortable room and very quiet with a spotless bathroom. Excellent breakfast served in a calm setting with plenty of space between tables. The hotel has great charm, and the on-site Michelin-starred restaurant was a real highlight — we tried the secret menu and loved it. Highly recommended!

The only downside is the rather dull surroundings, about a 20-minute walk from the city center.

The floor is a carpet and didn’t feel clean. No think in the toilet room you have to go to the shower in order to wash your hands

Restaurant closed on Monday. Toilet seat was strangely high and the hot water wasn’t very hot.

The room is very small, especially we were assigned with a room with pitched roof. We couldn't even stand straight when taking shower.

What a bloody nightmare!First off, the hotel itself is a mess! Walking in, I was hit by a wave of stale air like they hadn’t opened a window in months. The décor? A confusing mishmash of styles that makes no sense – are we in a funeral parlor or a rundown motel? Honestly, I've seen better atmospheres in an abandoned warehouse.And the SERVICE! Oh, my God, don’t even get me started on the staff. Rude, unprofessional, and couldn’t care less about the guests. It’s like they’ve all taken a crash course in how NOT to treat people. Want a warm welcome? Go elsewhere. You’ll be lucky if you don’t get an eye-roll for asking for basic things like clean towels or, heaven forbid, a smile.There is always just one person at the counter that prefers the restaurant guests over the hotel guests, even more the Hotel is supposed to be a '5* Spa Hotel'. The rating does not make sense at all.The "SPA": Looked more like a torture room than a 5-star SPA area. Dark, uninviting and it stank. This is really not how you imagine a top-notch SPA area to look and feel like.Now, the GYM. Are you serious? Outrageous doesn’t even cover it. It’s a joke! A couple of rusty machines in a cramped, windowless room that smells like someone’s been using it as a locker room for decades. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy work out there. If I wanted to get tetanus while lifting weights, maybe this would be the place, but come on—this is supposed to be a luxury hotel? Pull the other one.Avoid this place like the plague. Hôtel Ivan Vautier? More like Hôtel Ivan *Nightmare*. It’s a slap in the face to anyone expecting even the bare minimum of comfort. Trust me, save your money, your sanity, and your sense of smell – book *anywhere* else.Once we told the staff - also what seemed to be the owner of the hotel - that we would like to have a discount since we do not feel like this hotel meets our expectations, she just answered very ignorantly that this is absolutely not possible.
