Very nice hotel with a great breakfast.
When I could not remember my credit card pin for the $250 charge for a deposit, they still allowed me to stay the night. I really appreciated that! I would stay there again on my next visit to Lloydminster.

Friendly staff and we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. It's too bad we didn't take advantage of the pool. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, the service was great, food was so good. Home away from home ¿¿
Loved that it had been slightly up dated since last time I was there but still had the same charm I loved last time. Food was good staff were great and made me feel special.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel early before major events like Lloydminster Colonial Days, regional rodeos, or industry shifts to secure lower rates. Rooms in leading hotel chains often fill fast during these periods, and advance booking can save $15 to $25 per night during special events.
- Verify your hotel’s provincial location on your booking confirmation, as Alberta and Saskatchewan have different taxes and laws for things like alcohol age and service charges. Most major chains clearly state the address, but double-check if using third-party sites.
- Check if your hotel offers scheduled airport shuttle service or park-and-fly deals before arriving at Lloydminster Airport (YLL), where ground transport is limited. Major hotel brands sometimes include airport transfers as a loyalty program perk - confirm shuttle times, reservation needs, and parking fees at least 24 hours ahead.
- Pre-book rental cars, taxis, or hotel shuttle rides, as rideshare options such as Uber or Lyft are usually unavailable. Most branded hotels can help you schedule local, vetted taxi or shuttle transport upon request.
- Check the hotel’s check-in, check-out, ID, and minimum age policies in advance. Many major chains support mobile check-in or digital keys, which can speed up your arrival. Expect to show a government-issued photo ID and a credit card; ask about incidental holds and confirm the exact hold amount.
- Ask about corporate or extended-stay programs if you’re traveling for business or longer stays. Compare available in-room amenities like full kitchens and dedicated workspaces, and inquire about business center or co-working access. Leading hotel chains often have discounted rates and work-friendly amenities for long-stay guests.
- Request details on Wi-Fi speed, parking, and breakfast hours. Many hotels market free Wi-Fi and breakfast, but speeds and offerings vary; ask about business center or upgraded Wi-Fi for video conferencing or printing. Verify if parking is included and when breakfast is available for early risers.
- Tip about 15-20% in Canadian restaurants, and $15 per bag for bell staff and $15 per night for housekeeping (1.35-6.75 CAD), left daily. Use the concierge or front desk for tailored local dining and event tips, as many major brands train staff to help guests explore local hospitality.
- Ask for accessible amenities at booking, such as roll-in showers, visual alarms, or step-free paths, which most top hotel chains guarantee. Confirm pet policy, crib availability, and any accessibility needs in writing prior to arrival to ensure your room matches your requirements.
- Before winter travel, check if your hotel offers indoor corridors, heated pools, or emergency kits, as winter temperatures in Lloydminster can be severe. Indoor parking or snow clearing is often available at chain hotels - verify with the front desk, and check road and flight status via the Environment Canada app.
- Bring a Type A/B power adapter for 120V, and download offline maps in advance, as cell coverage may be spotty on rural roads. Many chain hotels offer business centers for printing directions or boarding passes if your mobile signal drops.
- Store passports, equipment, or extra cash in provided in-room safes or request front desk safe deposit at hotels with 24-hour security. Top chains usually feature in-room safes as standard and round-the-clock front desk assistance.
- Verify cleaning and health protocols to match your preferences; some major chains let you customize housekeeping frequency through their app or loyalty portal. If you want daily service or reduced contact, confirm your choice on arrival.
- Explore local diners and try Alberta beef, or ask the front desk for event flyers, local festival info, or loyalty guest perks like dining credits at partner venues. Staff at major hotels often share current recommendations for attractions and seasonal experiences.
- Ask about pools, supervised kids’ spaces, or family amenities when traveling with children. Solo travelers can request ground-floor or well-lit rooms and ask about safe walking routes; lobby social areas and organized activities may be available at larger chains.
- Request early check-in or late check-out in advance for odd flight times; loyalty program members may receive this free. Check availability at booking and again when you arrive, as fees or free options depend on occupancy.
- Save digital copies of your confirmation and hotel contact info, either in a brand app or on your device, to access directions or numbers offline. Many chains provide in-app storage for travel info that stays available without a data connection.
- Review cancellation rules and payment hold policies before booking; flexible cancellation is more likely with direct bookings or higher loyalty tiers. Confirm how long it will take for any credit card holds to be released after you check out.
- Ask the front desk or concierge for the fastest routes and any provincial differences, such as liquor or driving regulations. Staff at Lloydminster hotels are well-versed in cross-border travel details and can advise on navigating city and provincial services.
