Terrible. Listed as Redwood Falls, but it is actually several miles from there and located in Morton. Dirty, dingy. Full of residents.
It was connected to a convenience store that was open 24/7.

Friendly staff. At breakfast one morning one of the investors even stopped by to find out how we liked the hotel. Of course we didn't know he was an investor until we had had a friendly conversation and I asked him who he was. I assumed he was manager.

Top Tips
- Fly into Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) for the most reliable air access to Redwood Falls, then drive 100-110 miles (1.5-2 hours) southwest. To reduce fatigue after a long flight, consider stopping halfway for food or rest in Mankato or New Ulm, where recognized hotel chains offer overnight options.
- Stay within 0.5 miles of Alexander Ramsey Park or Main Street for direct walking access to paved park trails, river views, and local dining. Many top hotel brands in the area may have free bikes or trail maps; ask at check-in about recreational amenities.
- From November through March, expect snow and ice; MnDOT publishes live road advisories, and highway travel delays of 30-60 minutes are common during active alerts. Pack winter-appropriate clothing and consider requesting an accessible room or extra bedding for greater comfort in colder months.
- Redwood Falls does not have rail service and offers limited local transit, so almost all guests will need a car for errands or sightseeing. Prioritize hotels with free onsite parking, which is included in nightly rates at most major chains and local properties.
- Check your hotel’s front desk hours before arrival, as some smaller properties in Redwood Falls close by 22:00. For late arrival, select a hotel with 24/7 desk coverage or digital self-check-in and call ahead to confirm your access procedure.
