Surrounded by hiking trails and mountain scenery, this family-owned ranch is 23 mi from Jasper National Park. It features painting workshops, spa weekends, and murder mysteries. The rustic rooms at the Black Cat Guest Ranch are furnished with wood paneling and a work desk. Each has a private bathroom and a mountain view. The complimentary breakfast at the Black Cat Ranch is served family-style in the dining room. Packed lunches are also available.Guests have access to a refrigerator and microwave. The games room has a small bar with soft drinks and guests are encouraged to bring their own alcoholic drinks. Cross-country skiing and guided hiking tours are available. - Old fashioned hospitality. Beautiful location.
- The location in the woods was great. Very quiet and peaceful.
- Breakfast was excellent.
Cons -
- The hotel was run down and needs repairs. The room was dark (maybe a lamp would help). Bathroom sink leaked 24/7
- WiFi still not working 3 months after other reviewers stated it was not working.
