The Archie & Isidore Hotel

Very clean and attention to detail in renovations excellent. Linens and decor excellent quality. Hair and skin products better than most. Location across from the water, lovely view. Owner/ Staff super.

The room was the only one left, apparently the smallest in the house. Room 2 No room for two suitcases. Moved furniture to fit them. Would help if the lounge was finished but it¿s not open yet. Should have opened that before the gym that looks unused.

Very clean and nicely furnished. Bathroom had a bidet which I highly approve of. Good coffee in the room but no breakfast on site. There is also free laundry.

Our room was right on the highway, so there was some noise but not so much that we needed earplugs they provided to sleep. There was no staff on the property but communication by email and text was good. There was a very loud woman using the phone in the common area next to our room for over an hour. It was like having her in the room with us. Very obnoxious. Perhaps the owners could suggest that guests use their phones in their own rooms?

It was spacious, very well equipped, nicely decorated. And the amenities, linens, and the little extras made this one of our favourite stops. The hosts recommendation for dinner & breakfast was spot on!

The location is very good, we can enjoy the sunset right at the porch! Moreover, I’d like to thank them very much due to I leaf behind my wedding ring there, they staff called me and couriered back to me in The US! It is really nice place to stay an it warmed my hart thinking of their help to return my wedding ring!

Room was open and available when we arrived. Has cold drinks and snacks. Washer/dryer available! And a workout room. After a long hike it was wonderful to get in the hot tub. Great recommendation for dinner and super close. Breakfast restaurant was just next door so we walked.

Cozy, clean and well organized with thoughtful amenities. Shared kitchen, lounge and gym spaces. Rooms are large and comfortable. Private hot tubs are a nice touch. No staff present, but communication was excellent and even included a local shuttle service.

Very good and quick communication for booking, reservation & recommendations. Easy in and out. Everything was there and more, Mini Fitness (which we would have used if we had stayed longer), postcard sendings, Coffee & snacks (kids were super happy!)

Very well organised. Excellent facilities- sitting room, washing machine, gym equipment. Owners very amenable and responsive.Lots of treats for guests.

Surprised no one on site at any time.As no breakfast available had to go out , perhaps some bread /croissants left with butter & jam would have been a good option as the room was expensive.

This was by far the best place we stayed in during our trip in Nova Scotia. It was super easy to check in and get our room. We absolutely LOVED the lounge area with laundry, nearly a full kitchen, a printer, a lounging area and a gym! We also loved the hot tub and it really made our night! The location of the hotel is perfect, and the little chairs on the porch overlooking the water are amazing. This place greatly exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to anyone!

The location is perfect when driving the Cabot Trail, which we were. The check-in and check-out was so easy and everything was as described by the owners.

There was nothing to dislike.

We needed a charger for our electric car, much appreciated. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. Didn’t use the hot tub but that was a nice bonus.

A few breakfast items (yogurt) were promised but did not appear. Would have been helpful.

Our stay at The Archie & Isidore Hotel stood out as one of the highlights of our Cape Breton Road Trip. We knew we were in for a treat from the moment we stepped into our room. It was spacious, and the attention to detail was evident. There were candies, chocolates, and beverages including Nespresso coffee waiting for us :) The beds were clean, comfortable, and welcoming, promising a restful night's sleep after our adventures on the road. The fluffy, white towels and bathrobes added a touch of luxury, making us feel pampered and cared for.

Nothing that I didn't like about this place :) I truly loved our stay here.
