    Pros +

    • Located right on the caldera, this property offers rooms with a view and balconies for lounging outside. The pool is fantastic and they have a pool bar which is open during the day and serves food. The staff was very friendly. Bus stop is located at the front of the property. They can arrange taxi pick up/drop off.
    • Lovely hotel, great view of the caldera, easy access to the caldera beach. The bus stop is also located just outside, so there's easy access to other parts of the island. Great local restaurants nearby!
    • Located near the ancient Akrotiri site, the location is really nice. Very quiet. Wonderful pool, really nice room, and quality breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

    Cons -

    • Located on the busy road which never seems to stop having traffic. So noise can be intrusive. The beds have mattresses which are not too comfortable. The room I had was a bit small.
    • The only downside was there weren’t any restaurants waiting walking distance.
    • Very small and uncomfortable bathroom. I did not think the staff, other than the Manager were helpful or friendly.

Nicely staff. Quite location. Tasty food and local handmade wine.

Lovely hotel, in a beautiful quieter part of the island. A small but pretty beach just down the hill from the hotel (bit of a climb back up!), is easily accessible, just watch the waves when the big high-speed catamaran comes in!Friendly and helpful staff, nice pool.

Be aware that the photographs have been very cleverly taken to make everything look bigger than it is. The pool, for example, looks large in the pictures, but is actually quite small. The resteraunt is nice enough, but very basic. Fine for drinks or a quick snack, but if you're looking for a proper meal, then I'd suggest walking into Akrotiri town, which isn't far up the road.

We had a gorgeous experience at the Rodakas Hotel! The view was amazing, and the facilities were great. The staff was very pleasant and helpful! We will definitely come back!

We were in Santorini on holiday and were lucky enough to stay at this amazing hotel. Our experience was excellent in every way. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and decorated with attention to detail, offering all the amenities one could need. The staff were very kind and helpful, always willing to help with a smile and give advice about the area. The cleaning of the place was daily and thorough, which made me feel really comfortable and safe.A wonderful rich breakfast with many local products really left us speechless. In addition, the location of the room was ideal – we had a view of the sea and the hotel pool. The pool was relatively large also with kids area and the bar provided us with unique moments of relaxation. The hotel was very close by foot to the ancient sites of Akrotiri and I would dare say ideal for those who prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the caldera. I will definitely prefer it again in the future and I recommend it unreservedly to anyone looking for a quality but also economical stay in Santorini!

The pool was very nice and relaxing. The room was recently renovated and very practical. The breakfast buffet was very rich with healthy choices which is very important to me. Host and stuff were very kind and helpful and the location was also very practical next to the bus station, a mini market and the town of Akrotiri with more choices for food, drink and market.

    Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Well set up with pool and small well stocked bar & convenient basic restaurant. Pretty, clean and meticulously maintained. Bus stop right at the door (convenient, although buses were a bit erratic). Walking distance to tiny town of Akrotiri with a few cute cafes and restaurants and the remains of a pretty Venetian castle overlooking it all. Stunning restaurant on Caldera rim (The Edge) only 400 metres away - save on the accomodation and splurge on the meal and view.

Without a car a bit at the mercy of slightly erratic (but very cheap and well maintained) buses lots nearby to explore, but perhaps even better with your own car. Can walk down steep hill to local beach, but was very rough the days we wrecked there.

We were allocated a room with a sea view towards the back of the complex with a little garden / courtyard. The Balcony was a joy to sit and enjoy the view in the afternoon and early evenings. Our room was great, A/C worked well and we had a kettle and fridge which were very handy.

We found breakfast expensive compared to other hotels we stayed on this trip. Easily solved as there is a supermarket and bakery very close. There is a bus stop but the service is infrequent and you can only go to Fira so you would need to rent a car to be able to explore. Pool is lovely and everything is spotlessly clean.

Our whole holiday was incredible! The rooms are comfortable and clean. Air conditioning in both bedrooms and window shutters to make the rooms darker when required, perfect for nap times for children!Towels changed every 2 days and bedding every 4 days.Rooms cleaned every day!Breakfast was lovely!Freshly prepared by Maria and her team, every morning a different rotation of eggs, omelette, scrambled, fried.Boiled eggs always available.Croissants, fresh brioche, fresh marble cake or lemon Sponge. Continental offering.Yoghurt, fresh fruit, dried fruit, biscuits.Fresh sliced Bread, variation of whites and brown. Cereals, jams, coffee machine, orange juice and water.Always welcomed with a friendly smile and a good morning from the wonderful Maria, and our little girl was always fussed over, as we all were. The Pool bar/ restaurant was well equipped and added to the holiday experience.Angel was there every day, and nothing was too much trouble!Wonderful cocktails everyday, offered in plastic if out by the pool.Food menu lovely and suitable for lunch by the pool and also our first evening meal, with tradition greek foods as well as Pizzas, burgers etc.Everything charged to your room and then settled on check out!Mr George was able to take us anywhere across the island in his minibus for a charge but with the buses running like English buses, having the option of Mr George to tale us where we needed to go, or picked up one evening was brilliant.Honestly, our holiday would've been incredibly different without the Rodakas Hotel and Maria, Mr George and their wonderful staff. The location in Akrotiri is perfect, as flatter than Fira or Oia but has some great local beaches, incredible views on the doorstep of the entire island and Volcano. 20 minute drive for Fira and 40 minutes from Oia (but you wouldn't know!

    That we had to leave!

Really lovely hotel with a gorgeous pool. Breakfast was also tasty with a varied choice of cereals, cold meats, pastries, yogurt etc. Airport tranfers arranged by the property were great.

Not the owners fault but a rather loud family liked to take over the pool in the afternoons for 'games' which ruined the ambience. We just learned to leave the pool when they arrived.

The swimming pool is a really must in Santorini during the hot summer period. It is nice to cool down in a swimming pool after the whole day trip e.g.to Oia.:-)The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room had a beautiful view to the south and the sea.The room was equipped with A/C and also a separate fan. I personally evaluate the A/C that had a quiet mode so it is not disturbing during the night.Akrotiri is a nice place with a supermarket and a few restaurants/tavernas.The hotel location is in the small village Akrotiri which is an advantage if you like silence in the evening - what was our case. The bus stop to Fira is just in front of the hotel. The hotel is just above the Caldera beach which is approx. 500m on foot down from the caldera cliff.

We had a room on the upper floor with 2 beds for children on a special floor that was close to the ceiling. It certainly affects the temperature which is warmer than the rest of the room - A/C is a must. The hotel location is in the small quiet village Akrotiri, So if you are a fan of a night live choose another accommodation in Fira, Kamari, etc.Be careful when returning by bus from Fira in the evening as the last direct bus from Fira to Akrotiri leaves at 21:00.Our room had just a small fridge and a water boiler. It is enough for tea/coffee and a breakfast but nothing else. I understand that the size of the room does not allow to have a small cooking plate or water sink - nevertheless it would be nice to have it.Breakfast cost is EUR 15 per person/day (usual price for Santorini nevertheless compared to e.g. Naxos it is higher of approx 4-5 EUR)

Beautiful pool area, we were given rooms at the back on the ground floor with a sea view.

Breakfast is overpriced, and the location requires a car as the bus only passes once an hour

Lovely, small, family run hotel. Very clean. Excellent room, we stayed in a mezzanine room with our teenager, small but perfectly formed bathroom, looked like it had been recently refurbished. Beautiful view from the balcony. Very comfortable beds. Air con and fan. No safe in the room but I think there were ones you could use in the reception area. Great breakfast, a little different each day, not a huge selection but always freshly cooked and regularly refreshed. Nice pool area, not huge, but only a small hotel so that is what I expected. Big enough to swim in!Plenty of parking available. Never had a problem with the Wi-Fi either in the room or by the pool. Great location, numerous restaurants and shops within a 5/10 min walk.

I liked very much of the location of Acrotiri. Much less crouds than in Oia or Perissa or some other places. Few restaurants nearby and fairly easy access from the airport too. Very nice seaside restaurants close to Red beach also. Santorini is very beautiful ireland. I suggest to explose by foot for people more, if you are able to. Use busses, those are cheap and service if fine too. This is nice hotel. Everything worked fine for us.

Traffic is crazy in many places. Beware of falling rocks in Red beach also. Those can be very dangerous.

    4DaisyPosted on: 7-30-2024

The staff were responsive however I don’t think they had anything they could do

The room was dingy. Lights were dim. The aircon took ages to come on. I was told that’s how it works. The room was not like the pictures online. Very disappointing.
