Pros +
- Breakfast was great! Good options and portion sizes. Loves the room size
- Really nice and modern facilities, awesome breakfast and if you rent a car is a good quiet place to get back after a visit to oia (30 minute drive)and pretty quiet; giannis, markela and staff where on point.
- Friendly, professional, and overall fantastic staff. Wonderful view, great breakfast, comfortable room, and very good value.
Cons -
- The room was nice size and the staff was kind. We went during the off season so that had an impact, but when we checked in there was a mop and bucket on one bedroom patio, an large water hose on the second, water in the outside tub from maybe rain or something, the showers were dark and looked unclean in the corners and the drains were rusted, the floors also needed sweeping and mopping. I feel all of this should have been cleaned, cleared and prepared prior to our arrival. After mentioned the mop, bucket and hose remained on the patios/balconies. With all of the restaurants closed there was nothing close in terms of food. You had to pay 40 euros to get to oia/fira or if you opted for the super market buy food that you could eat cold and can be refrigerated. The experience may be different during the summer.
- I wish the coffee included in the breakfast was espresso or freshly brewed instead of instant coffee.
- The restaurant at the pool is overpriced (20+€ cocktails and 25€ dessert) and stops serving pool snacks at 3pm, after that, you need to order from their dinner menu.

We absolutely loved our stay at Divino Caldera! The view is breathtaking, and the location is perfect. It was peaceful and away from the chaos. Every detail in the room was incredible, and the girls at the reception were the sweetest and most attentive people ever. The breakfast? 200/100, simply amazing! We’d stay here again without a doubt.
Staff was absolutely amazing, the pool area and sunset views are stunning, good wifi and clean rooms, would recommend a car if you're staying here, they have a parking lot with enough space

The location was far from Oia but close to the red beach. We liked that it was far from crowded places. The staff was awesome. The room was great. The breakfast was great
Spetacular view of the island and of the hotel itself, which is insanely beautiful. Delicious breakfast, large range of cocktails and good music. The whole staff was super nice to us, but we would like to give a special shoutout to Markella and John, who made our experience even more enjoyable with their kindness! We felt genuinely special throughout our visit and enjoyed every single moment. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
We enjoyed Santorini overall but staying at Divino Caldera made it reach another level. Markella and the entire team were fantastic, with great attention to detail and lots of recommendations. The breakfast was delicious and the room and pool area looked just as good as in the pictures.
The hotel is very nicely located - overlooking directly to the water, so there are no other hotels/houses in front of you, which is important for Santorini architecture. The design is stylish, the staff is very friendly and helpful! it's not in major city, so you would need a car to get by the island - the staff helped to arrange one for us.
We stayed during off season (April 19-23), so unfortunately the restaurant didn't work and the hot tub took a couple of days to adjust, so we were able to use it only on our last evening.
Location- spot on and quietPool area - luxurious and cleanStaff - so helpful and friendlyRooms - decorated to perfection and so comfortable
We had a small issue with the hot tub but it was fixed in time for us to use it before we finished our holiday…
The hotel was exceptional in every way—breathtaking views, clean and comfortable rooms, and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. It was a peaceful and memorable experience.
Location of the property was just awesome , away from the busy town. Rooms and breakfast served was awesome . Staffs are super friendly , esp Markella , she was super helpful and super supportive throughout the trip . Entire trip was just awesome and super comfortable .She was guiding us in the key places to visit around the hotel , super supportive . Many thanks for tour support . Hotel rooms were very clean and neat , View from the room was just awesome
Nothing specific to the Hotel , Bus frequency around the hotel was slightly less .
The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming the entirety of our stay. The included breakfast each morning was spectacular! The views from our room and the pool/dining area were absolutely spectacular! We enjoyed how quiet and calm the area was. The warm tub on the balcony in our room alone was probably the highlight!! All around this was an incredible part of our time in Greece!
What could've been improved was assistance in transportation. We made our way to the nearby town (walking on the road was dicey) and found the bus route so we could get to Fira and Oia, but even offering a ride to the closest bus stop would've been helpful!
The facilities, area, space, decor, food
The staff are so nice and helpful, with patience to our demands. I recommend especially the spa and the breakfast here.
During winter the water of spa is not very hot. Due to the location is in Akrotiri, a little distance away from Fira and Oia, you can check the bus schedule online before leaving.
The room was beautiful and spacious, the hotel areas and the views are stunning. This place is special - despite being beautifully stylish it doesn't come at the expense of having substance, the experience and service really does stand out at Divino as much as the design and scenery.Markella at reception was exceptional, such a warm & friendly welcome! Her recommendations were brilliant and her speedy responses to any questions and support with bookings was amazing. We loved the attention to detail in the service, small things that just really enhanced our stay - for example the whatsapp for queries was super helpful and the breakfast host was brilliant, she always noted our preferences/coffee orders etc. from the previous day and carried that through into the next. Breakfast itself was fantastic, plenty of choice, beautifully presented and really delicious.Away from the crowds of Oia and Fira, we loved this location for seeing a different side to Santorini. Definitely worth having a car here so you can exploring, this is a great area for more sheltered beaches on the island and is well located if you want to go on a boat trip to explore the beaches - the hotel has great recommendations for these kind of trips. You're also just 5 minutes drive from the light house, a fabulous spot to watch sunset. And of course, it's a small Island, so catching sunsets in Fira and Oia isn't too much of a drive away too - best of both worlds!
We stayed only one night but we regreted immediately because it was so amazing. Beautiful place, everything clean, super nice design...and awesome breakfast and pool area. Definitely worth this money. Also lady on the reception was amazing - very nice, helpful and sweet. Thank you :)
Wonderful location with fabulous views of the caldera - and well away from the main tourist attractions of Thira (FIra) and Oia - so well away from the cruise ship mania… so it was a quiet location - which would definitely not suit some but if you hire a car (recommend that) - it allows you to properly explore what the real Santorini has to offer and find some hidden gems We had a junior suite room which suited us perfectly and had we a small pool which also commanded the stunning views. Was cleaned to high standard daily - and nothing was too much trouble to get or to be arranged for us…From the meet and greet to the final goodbye we had exceptional service throughout from all the staff we met - from the cleaners to restaurant - unfortunately it was the end of season and the in house restaurant (fabulous Japanese fusion ) did shut down near the end of our stay but other local restaurants were recommended to us which proved well worth exploring..In particular Markela, Shiela and Ismerelda ( apologies if i have misspelled your names) were wonderful throughout and we were sad to say goodbye to you all… Markela for her local knowledge and organisation skills on our behalf , Shiela restaurant manager and server extraordinaire ( and also a very kind person ) and Ismerelda whose smiling face along with Shiela brightened our day at breakfast and dinner We will be back ……
For us it was the best stay we have had in a long time..so we are all thumbs up … nothing to complain about at all. However it is fair to point out there are some things many would call a negative (but for us was a positive from our perspective & what we knew of beforehand)- some people will find the remote location a bit difficult especially if they want the nightlife experience.. you will need a car to get around unless you want to spend a lot in taxis- the team arranged a car for us at a very reasonable cost and it actually wasnt that scary driving around .. - some have complained about the ambient restaurant music being too much- personally it never bothered us but if you are one of those “noise sensitive” / dont like the thump thump of music types then this is probably not the place for you..
Everything was excellent! We had a perfect time. Extremely beautiful hotel, cozy rooms, delicious breakfasts, friendly and very helpful staff. We really enjoyed. Thank you for everything!
It was beautiful and peaceful! It is located off the beaten path and not near any of the hustle and bustle of the busy island. The free breakfast was amazing!
It would be difficult and quite expensive to venture around the island from this location without renting a car. We rented a car so this wasn’t an issue for us.
