    Pros +

    • The staff was super friendly. The room was very clean. The view and the pool are worth the extra $$
    • I really enjoyed staying here, the pasta from the restaurant was the best I’ve had, the view was spectacular…no need to leave to see the sunset and the people that worked there were so friendly and made you feel so comfortable and satisfied every need I had. Would definitely come back and worth every penny.
    • Wonderful view of caldera Good room service

    Cons -

    • I loved it all…not one bad thing to say
    • The hotel is so far from center, very basic and primitive, expensive for the service, pool not heated very cold, breakfast was poor with no variety, no coffee or any complimentary drinks at room or even a boiler although the manager was very nice and tried to help, but it is not worth it
    • The main things that surprised me about Maison Des Lys, after having stayed at three different hotels in Santorini, were that no assistance was provided to help carry luggage to our rooms, especially given the difficulty of accessing the executive suites. More importantly, the quality of the food was surprisingly unappetizing and, quite frankly, inedible, which was alarming for me and my guests. Additionally, the water was salty, something I hadn't encountered at the other hotels. I'm not sure if this is a regional issue, but I felt that more than one bottle of water should have been provided to us at the very least.

The property was stunning, which is why I chose to have our bridal suite here during my visit two years ago. The staff was friendly, and the views were absolutely breathtaking.

We had a blast. The complex was beautiful and the views were stunning. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We rented a car from the hotel and it was simple. Same quality service from the rental company. Restaurants close by were great.

It was a nice place, great view and location

No hot tub, no heated pool. Breakfast buffet wasn’t great. expensive for the value.

Nothing. We suffered both financial and emotional distress.

We stayed at this hotel from May 8 to 11, 2025. On May 10, a very upsetting incident happened. While we were out for lunch, housekeeping entered the room. When we came back, I discovered that my expensive Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings were missing from the nightstand. At first, we thought they had been stolen and considered calling the police. Later we found them damaged near the door — apparently knocked off and swept during careless cleaning. A staff member assured us the hotel would cover the repair costs upon receiving the receipt. We trusted their word, didn’t involve the police, and submitted an official repair invoice from Tiffany. After that, the hotel simply ignored us and never compensated the damage. We suffered both financial and emotional distress. If you value honesty and safety, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. They make promises they don’t keep, and your belongings are not secure.

The location was beautiful and the hotel and our room were very clean and comfortable .

One member of staff that we encountered was particularly rude and the evenings in the hotel lacked atmosphere. Breakfast was cold every morning regardless of the time we attended.

Beautiful location overlooking the caldera. FANTASTIC Manager Angelo and his Reception Staff who helped enormously with booking for taxis, and provided local knowledge of how to walk to nearest beach and to Akrotiri Village. On the day of my flight out from Santorini at 9pm they took care of my bags all day after morning check-out, and, let me freshen-up in a spare room before departing.

Shower doors didn't keep water out of the rest of the bathroom.

Magnificent views of the caldera and the volcano in a part of the island which is not affected by the crowds of tourists. Great food and extremely comfortable beds. Exceptional staff always polite and smiling.

Beautiful view and cultural, approachable and friendly staff

value for money, the contents of the apartment and the very cold water of the private pool that we paid for, almost in the entire hotel people did not use pools because of the water temperature…

We love our stay, the view was amazing, the staff were all accommodating and extremely helpful. A nice and quiet location

    Far from the bus station

    Stunning view , lovely room

Strange set up , they didn’t really make the most of the bar and restaurant facilities

    7DavidPosted on: 9-1-2024

    Nice location

Very little privacy..... and no umbrellas at the main pool or at breakfast so we had to be in the full sun all day or stay inside

    10AdaugoPosted on: 8-26-2024

The views, met every expectations, nice and polite staff. The guys at the restaurant and bar was so helpful.

    Everything was amazing

    The pools aren't too private

    9FolkertPosted on: 8-17-2024

Doubting at first on the location on the island, but when we experienced it, would say it was probably the best place to be. Enjoying beautiful total view of Santorini and sunsets every evening. We were lucky to have one of the best suites, thanks to the GM.

The only point of attention would be the quality of the food. If MdL would improve, it would receive a 10.

The staff is great, very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is all the way at the end of the Akrotiri region near the lighthouse so its location is very quiet and far from the action. This is good if you want to get away from the buzzing tourists in Santorini. I also liked the views this hotel has and the breakfast, is satisfying.

The hotel rooms were not equipped with a kettle or coffee machine and you have to wait until 8am to get your coffee in the morning. This is not good for us early risers… Also you can’t have a hot beverage in your room after 10pm… the pool is freezing cold which is good when it’s hot outside without any wind but the area in general is very windy and it’s hard to enjoy the pool. The jacuzzi in our room was not enticing for me to even step in it. I felt it could have been cleaner… they also didn’t come to clean our room every day.

it was the same thing going to breakfast every day. Lack of differentiation. Poor breakfast. Coffe from machine was very bad. Breakfast started at 8:00am

Apartment was amazing, private pool bigger then expected. Everything works just fine like a/c, fridge, tv and all other stuff. Beds comfy, very good cleaning service. Outside pool is really large, you can have fun with kids or do some swimming on your own. Personnel friendly and willing to help, you can arrange via them car rental or boat trips. Good idea with complimentary transfer from and to the airport, if it's your first time there it's really helpful.

Location - prefect for sunrise and sunset, but definitely you need to rent a car there to get max out of Santorini. Nearest shop is like 15 minutes walk, three restaurants in walking distance.
