Pros +
- We loved Casa Mia. We had some trouble finding it at first, but really it's easy to get to and had super easy access to the road to Huatulco. There's a small pool and the decks have great views of the ocean. And it's an easy 2-block stroll to the beach!
- We loved the space and the view is amazing. The hostess was informative and helpful.
- Very clean place in a quiet area close to the center and the local beach with restaurants and bars. The pool was nice and refreshing. The king size bed was very comfortable. You can pay with credit card (4% extra) which is a great plus.
Cons -
- The noise from the nearby clubs and highway.
- The wifi was a little bit unstable for a while but the smart TV worked in the evening.
- Two things really put a damper on my short stay there: I knew I was going to have a friend stop by so I just put his name on the register as a guest when I checked in. He ended up arriving early in the morning when nobody was at the front desk so I was the one to let him in the front gate. When he left soon after the staff hassled him, would not let him out the gate (a button needed to be pushed that he did not see) and basically treated him like a criminal. Luckily I heard the commotion and went downstairs. I quickly buzzed him out. When I confronted the staff they said I had only paid for one guest and visitors were not allowed. I did not remember a one or two guest option but was not sure so I did not argue. It made no sense to me as it was not a breakfast included place. When I checked later I found that (at least on Booking.com) there was not a one guest option for a lower rate. The incident just ruined my morning there. I was glad to pack up and leave early. The other discomfort was I had a couple of chain smokers next door. They would sit on the common balcony and the smoke made its way into my room. I had to keep my door and windows shut and never did get to enjoy the hammock outside my room.

Overall a nice clean and comfortable hotel. Fairly basic but enhanced with nice colors on the walls. My room had a partial ocean view from the balcony. The location is convenient for restaurants, swimming at Playa Principal and, most importantly, the ADO bus station.

We loved our room "Diamante". Great views and large space. The hotel is close to the beach and town too.And the staff was great. Very friendly and helpful.
Coffee in the room.
Friendly staff, clean, nice pool.
Some traffic noise, not much
The location is amazing:1. Right by the biggest match box super market in PE (like a local version of Walmart), also the town center, where you can find long distance bus to all other major cities.2. Walking distance to everywhere, the famous beaches in PE.3. Near the colectivo spot to La Punta.4. Right by the large bus stop to Manzute and Zipolite. The little family owned hotel itself is giving you the 2000s vibe, but under good maintenance. There's a popular local church just opposite the street, so expecting some ceremony sounds and music once in a while, (it happened to me once in early morning and early evening, nothing crazy)
Nothing I dislike. If have to bring one thing, it would the entrance design, existing guests could only using a tiny door by the slop, while there's another gate.
The property was super clean and the host was very responsive and helpful.
Internet didn’t work at first but the manager sent someone to help us right away.
A clean, bright room. The view was nice . A SHORT walk to the night .marketA100 peso taxi ride to the point
More of the action is now at the point
Bathroom was very good, newly remodeled. Bed was very comfortable. View of beach and ocean could not be beat.
Lack of reception. Hotel was advised several times when we would be arriving, including at 3PM ON ARRIVAL DAY. They were also told of our Mexican cellphone number. We arrived at airport at 9:45PM as expected, had no luggage to wait for, so immediately took a taxi to hotel only to find the place dark with no one to greet us or let us in. We buzzed several times without response. Thankfully, the cab driver had waited. He called the hotel and told someone that we were there. The intercom came alive, and a rather curt voice asked if we had a reservation. YES! Within 5 minutes, a very young man/teen arrived who spoke no English. There was no paperwork waiting, so we had to fill out registration, and he then showed us to our room. He couldn't explain the wifi (got that from another guest), the hot water was not working. He just could not answer any questions about anything. This is not how it is supposed to work. The next morning, we went out for breakfast, and the 3 people at reception didn't acknowledge us then, or when we returned. The room was too BOHO for us... this was not a kitchenette! Cupboards and shelving were old and dilapidated. Pictures on Booking do not show the room as it was when we arrived. My wife and i travel 120 to 160 days a year, all over the world. This was unforgiveable. We left that very morning for different and much better accommodation. The only contact with us was to be asked via Booking if we were returning that night. I said simply NO! We are not asking for a refund for the other 4 nights Don't care to deal with such people. I hope our rating drops them down a notch.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Great view! Near the beach! Great pool!Comfortable room! Loved all the shelving! Good AC and ceiling fan!Good location for exploring the Centro too! Near the bus station! And across from a nice church!
The staff, especially Paola and Angel, were very nice. The mattress was comfortable. Paola did a good job cleaning.
On arrival the woman who attended me by phone was not friendly. It seemed like I was an inconvenience for her. On the property listing page the first highlight is "Kitchen - Kitchenette, Refrigerator, Kitchenware." Since none of the 10 room options listed a kitchen, I believed all must have a kitchen or kitchenette. On arrival I was given a small basic hotel room. I showed them what the property listing says, and they moved me to a room with a kitchen. However there were no plates, bowls, or cooking pans - only one dirty table knife, a dirty plastic spatula, a couple of coffee cups, and a sharp knife (see photo.)The next day I asked for two plates, glasses, silverware, frying pan, pot and basic cooking implements. They promised to bring it to the room. The following day nothing arrived so I asked someone else. They brought plates, glasses, and a small frying pan - but no silverware or other items. I asked again, but they never did bring anything else. As it turns out, of the maybe 15 or so rooms only two have kitchen areas. Apparently there is not actually cookware or tableware. So "kitchen" should be removed from the web listing. Also I never saw or heard anything about massage services. Overall, this is not a "9" property, more like a "7." Not a great value for the price. And with mediocre sea views from most levels.
Nice pool. The room itself was decent and clean. The woman who checked us in was pleasant. Bed was comfortable.
We were given a room right by the door and reception which wasn’t great and the blinking Christmas lights outside our room were disruptive once we turned off our lights. The church bells across the street were very very loud at 5am, 6am and 7am which isn’t their fault, but future guests should be aware. Location isn’t great, pretty hilly so be warned if you have much luggage. A night was ok, but wouldn’t want to stay for much longer unfortunately.
The room is tidy and equipped with cooking appliances. It has air conditioning, which is very important in this area due to the hot and humidity regions. The kitchen has a door that separates it from the room, helping to keep the room cool. The bathroom has sufficient hot water. The staff have a good attitude and are willing to help with any inquiries or issues. There is a water dispenser near the reception where you can get hot or cold water. There is a swimming pool, but I didn't have time to enjoy it. Surrounded is quiet, good for sleep!
The hotel is at the end of a long road, and you have to walk up a long slope or stairs. This can be troublesome if you have large luggage or are carrying too many things. There aren't many dining options nearby, so you have to go to the beach or the bus stop area. Additionally, during my stay, there was a power outage, and when walking back to the hotel, the entire road had no streetlights, which made me worry it could be dangerous. Also, the bathroom doesn’t have a shower curtain, so water splashes everywhere when taking a shower.
Great location, good pool area. Very lovely staff, the women at the front desk was very helpful and kind
Location, friendly staff, specially the host Marilu
When arrived the male host Angel didn’t give us full info about what was available for guests
We got the worst room in the hotel right by the main entry gate. There was a door that kept bumping shut until late into the night. The person who checked us in was more focused on his video game than making sure we were comfortable. The women the following day however was helpful and understood why we check out after 1 night
The facility and room was very clean, staff was polite and very helpful all the time, location was perfect.
I didn't like that the wifi was weak.
Locatio, A/C , the view
Overall, it was fantastic location and very clean
It felt as though we were renting a room in someone’s home. Overall, it was really good for what we needed for the trip. The staff was very polite and efficient. It seemed as though they may have been the owners children because when they weren’t working or on their breaks, they were playing video games by the Pool: I did find this quite distracting trying to relax, listening to machine gunfire on someone’s computer
