Cute little place in a quirky neighbourhood.

For me the location is on the top, its near the station and park, and at Oji station , supermarkets , groceries are nearby. Staff are very informative, and yes its quiet, our sleep was good.

Common space are too small and the cafe was sometimes closed because of event, therefore no place to eat or hang

Tokyo Guest House Ouji Music Lounge is located less than 5 minutes walk from Oji station and is super convenient. The place is clean, has all amenities as described. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We even enjoyed a free concert at their location! To the host: Keep up the good work!

Like all Japanese buildings, it is not the most well insulated, especially the bathroom, which was drafty in our private unit.

Cheap and liked the neighbourhood

The room was run-down and not very clean. Looks like its a "renovated" love hotel.

Not recommended for a family. Cleanliness was an issue. Rooms are not up to the standard. Facilities like microwave/ stove were not adequate

Stayed in December 2025 for 5 nights at 13 K ¥ / night in Superior Twin room (3 people). Low cost.Decent location, short walk to Oji station with direct connection to Ueno area and transfer to Shinjuku. Attached restaurant had pretty good lunch.

Worst stay of our trip. Run down compared to the pictures on the listing. Room clearly had not been properly cleaned in a long time: stains on the walls, gunk on windows, dust in corners. Bathroom floor was disgusting, provided bathroom slippers were sticking to the floor... I'm no neat freak but they could have at least mopped..Room could do with furniture, had no table or trash can. AC dehumidifier didn't seem to help at all with drying damp clothes (after 1hr in dryer).Smoking area was at the front entrance to the guesthouse and you could smell it from the room.

Great location, perfect spot if you need a quieter area away from the city but still within the city. Walking distance from OJI station and restaurants . 2 train stops to get to Yamamote line. There’s a park near the Tokyo guest house and you can hear crickets noises and very relaxing atmosphere . They also have a small restaurant and meals are decently priced and tasty. I stayed at shinjuku before this hotel and I’m glad I did! I got the large room with private bathroom and my own sauna.

Staff could have been friendlier, written communication could have been more timely.

There was black mold on the walls, the room had a weird smell and was overall very humid

private shoes locker should be "free"I prefer getting 1 personal shoe box at check in , and having a deposit for it in case I forget to turn the key back or lost itrather than having someone else too lazy to put their shoes inside a sealed bag or to scared to put their shoes on the public shelf.

Staff were good, everything good for the price

We had to rush before 10pm for the check in as they were not very responsive about how to check in after 10pm

It was actually my second time in this accommodation and all I can say is that it is a great value for money! It is near to Oji Station which serves both JR and Tokyo Metro Lines. The place is also clean and the surroundings is relatively quiet since it is quite tucked away from the crowded cities.

Since this is my second stay already, I can say that there's nothing negative that I can comment on about the property. Probably it is more of the other guests who are not considerate of the fact that there are other guests in the room since it's a hostel (which should not be blamed to the property).

The bathroom is big, toilet separates Room is big comparing to other hotel in Tokyo The area is nice and calm The towel are new and fresh Receptionist is well mannered and helpful

Split AC need maintenance Can’t have cold water when taking shower only hot water coming ( and I know how to use a Japanese shower ) Some guest at night sitting outside are loud and doesn’t respect the neighborhood We didn’t find any live music or entertainment As saying in the advertisement.

the bed was really comfy and it was nice that they had both a washer and dryer. a lot of places in japan don’t have a dryer

the 2nd floor smelled pretty bad like sewage and the area by my matress wasn’t swept out (like there was a ton of dust and crumbs from previous guests in the corner of my bunk)

This hostel is good for short time. Is in a very nice area of the city, 2 min walking from subway and bus stop.

They didn’t serve breakfast yet they had wrote that breakfast was included.I felt it was impolite to tell us after arriving there because I had chose the place considering whether they served breakfast or not They have a locker but it’s small and every time you close it, you have to pay 100 yenThe kitchen was really dirty but they at least had a water serverThey have towels but it’s free for onceIf you want new ones you’ll have to pay for itMy

Close to the train station, got to meet other people from different countries. It was clean and the washing machine and dryer were easy to use.
