    Pros +

    • We liked the area because it was easily accessible to the rest of the city but quiet.
    • Located in a very accessible and comfortable residential location that’s just minutes away from Nippori station. The place still feels fairly new and is equipped with a shared kitchen and dining room.
    • The staff were so friendly and welcoming! They are so talented they can speak 3 languages (at least!) It feels more personable than APA or other chain hotels. The property is clean and well kept, close to convenience stores and other delicious restaurants. There is also a nice common area lounge with free ice coffee and shared kitchen amenities. They let us check in early (around 11:30AM!) and held our luggage after check out. We are so grateful to them for being accommodating, especially since this was the last leg of our travels and we were tired!

    Cons -

    • There is an issue with soundproofing because of the wooden structure. We were on the third floor and when jet lag hit and we were up in the middle of the night everyone could hear us by simply walking around the room, flushing the toilet or talking. Our three year old exasperated the situation because she doesn’t get tiptoeing or whispering. We found it stressful constantly worrying about making noises that a person would normally make by being in a room while also dealing with a toddler and jet lag.
    • We had our windows opened so there was a bit of noise at night from the streets (e.g. service vehicle sirens) but not from people. I sleep with ear plugs so I was told this by my fellow guests who didn’t.
    • Walk to train station can be a bit long with the luggage. Also, there was construction across the street on the language school that can be loud in the morning.

Wonderful Japanese style hotel with very polite and welcoming staff. Use of spaces are very convenient having a kitchen as a hotel common room. Rooms were clean and within decent proximity of stations. ~7-10 minutes walk

Walking distance to the Nipori Station, we had no problem finding it, rooms clean and comfortable, we had both Japanese and Western style, clean towels daily.

    10GiovannaPosted on: 1-3-2026

One of the best stays i’ve ever had! Lovely location, the staff is exceptional and really kind. The rooms are cleaned daily and if you choose to sleep in the tatami, they set it up for you. Really lovely place, far away from the buzzy areas but so cozy and quiet. Incredible stay.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Wagokoro and cannot recommend it highly enough. We are a family of five and stayed across two rooms. The highlight was unquestionably the outstanding staff who all made us feel so welcome, and went above and beyond for our family. Their friendliness, kindness, warmth and effort is absolutely the highlight of our visit to Japan. The other aspects we loved about staying at Wagokoro is its proximity to a major railway station which made touring Tokyo each day so easy, the friendly, safe and clean neighbourhood with its fantastic dining options which the staff at Wagokoro fabulously helped facilitate including by providing local information. (In particular we loved our daily breakfasts at Higurashi Bakery and the delicious wagyu for dinner at Yakiniku Bouya Nippori. Again, the staff at both locations were so amazing.) We also loved at Wagokoro the exceptional cleanliness of the rooms, the available kitchen with tea and coffee, comfortable beds, perfect temperature and so peaceful. Everything about our stay was just so very special and memorable - thank you all. We are already looking forward to the next occasion we can stay!

Nothing to improve! We loved everything about staying here, thank you again for an exceptional experience.

Great hotel. The staff was really friendly and the location was also really good with a number of amenities nearby. It is a bit far from the main areas, but a lot closer to Narita aiport ( plus the nearby station offers direct train to Narita)

    10JuergenPosted on: 12-15-2025

Nice boutique hotel near Nippori station with direct train to Narita airport and also to Tokyo city. Very welcoming staff, small (well, it’s in Tokyo, so quite normal) but comfortable and clean rooms. No breakfast , but free coffee and tea. Many restaurants in the area anyway.

    10EricPosted on: 12-14-2025

It is a clean, modern traditional Japanese style hotel in terms of the decor. Having a traditional room with mats and small tables and low beds made for a great final night to have in Japan. The staff were kind and helpful and liked it was close enough to the train station that connects to Narita airport.

    All great!

    10VeronicaPosted on: 12-14-2025

The staff is super helpful!! They provide you with a map, some recommendations, and are very kind. They have a nice kitchen set up, place to hang out by the lobby, coffee, tea, and microwaves. The place is very clean and quiet. Best customer service. Close to the train station.

The hotel is a few blocks away from the train station, and you can catch the sky train to get to the airport from there, very convenient. The staff is super helpful and friendly, and the place was very clean. the room is small but big enough for two people, very close to the hotel there is the best bakery we visited in our trip! If you stay here having breakfast there is a must! The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Personal service, clean, comfortable and quiet.

Staying at Wagokoro always feels like staying at home with family. The employees greet us by name to say hello and goodbye each day and chat about our activities of the day. The sitting room in the front in comfortable and tidy. The local bakery is beautiful and so friendly - everything there is delicious.

    10MoffatPosted on: 11-28-2025

The location from a major train station was great! So convenient to tour around the city, and then a direct Airport Skyline straight to Narita Airport made our stay at this location extremely convenient and made our time in Tokyo very efficient.Without a doubt, the best part about this accommodation was the staff. They were so helpful and so sweet, and made our stay very memorable. We would definitely stay here again.

    10MelindaPosted on: 11-26-2025

All of the staff was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home during our stay. They told us about local places nearby, answered any questions we had, and one kind person offered to walk us to the laundromat across the street to show us how to use the machines. The hotel was very clean and I especially loved the living room area with drinks available all day.

    9KatiePosted on: 11-21-2025

The well equipped common area on the ground floor where you can enjoy breakfast or hang out with friends. Size of room is bigger than the hotel we stayed in for the same price. Very friendly staff. They even recognized this is not our first stay at this guest house.

A bit far from teain station but still walkable even with luggage.

    10TanyaPosted on: 11-11-2025

Peaceful location, beautiful room, and the very helpful staff.

It can be hard to get to with luggage from the train station, but it’s manageable.

    10EvgeniyaPosted on: 11-11-2025

Loved absolutely everything about the place itself and the location (which is quiet, but still has absolutely everything you need in a walking distance). Definitely would come back again - I've got to try booking a tatami room next time!

Extremely helpful and kind employees, quiet and walkable neighborhood
