Pros +
- Good breakfast, clean and new rooms. Good parking.
- Staff were exceptional, friendly and professional. Room in converted water mill comfortable beds, attention to details v nice. Grounds and facilities beautifully kept. Spotlessly clean everywhere.
- Limited staff were nice
Cons -
- Facilities - There are nice rooms, such as the Art, Music, and library, which have the potential to feel more like a chateau. However, the rooms are cluttered with tables/chairs, making them unusable or uncozy. We were not able to enjoy dinner (it was fully booked), we were not able to go to SPA in the evening, so the only thing left for us to do is just sit in the room, which is quite sad keeping in mind the Chateau's potential. Staff is not willing to go the extra mile - even though we reserved the room last minute, the restaurant was already fully booked but no effort was added from staff to talk with the restaurant - perhaps they can offer us a plate with meats/cheese, something low effort to enjoy the evening in the Chateau, instead of going to city for a diner. The SPA in the morning was quite cold, even though it was agreed with reception for us to come there early.Overall, wouldnt come back for sure. This place needs love, caring staff and making a Chateau more enjoyable.
- Shower needed curtain or door to prevent water spraying room, but minor concern. Restaurant quality meals good but not exceptional. Costly for quality.
- This is no where near 4 star advertised. This place makes their money as a wedding venue. Grounds are poorly maintained. Literal tree branch blocking 3/4 of stair from parking area is just one example. Anyone who cared and walked this site would not leave this kind of thing. Another example: Around happy hour no one manning the bar area. Had to get the check in reception person get me something from the bar and they had limited supply (like 6 beers total 2 of each kind in stock) Diner was okay but lamb was definitely not slow cooked as advertised. The landscaping is an embarrassment and the owner does not care!

Wonderful stay. Supper was very good, rooms were very comfortable, grounds were beautiful. Definitely would return.
Very overrated. The reception staff when visible were helpful and kind.
The room was cold. The shower room was freezing. The WiFi doesn’t work at all.The property was very under cared for, the gardens and landscaping were very uncared for. The restaurant had no menu in English or staff who could translate into English. The breakfast and restaurant amenities are not befitting of a modern hotel catering for guests or tourists. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and I arrived on a Sunday evening only to find not a single restaurant open or available within 30 minutes drive of the property and the hotels restaurant was so unwelcoming that I had to go to a random tiny restaurant with shocking food just to eat after my travel and long day.Upon arrival there was no receptionist available for over an hour and I stood waiting around. The road into the property is full of pot holes and is unfit to drive along. There are no signs guiding you where to park or drive to find the property. The car park is a long way away from the hotel itself and isn’t lit well at all at night. In the middle of the ceiling of my bedroom there was a fire/smoke alarm in the ceiling that proceeded to flash bright red light into the room exactly where as lying in the bed you are facing up making it almost impossible to fall asleep.
The Castle and the surrounding garden is beautiful. The Reception staff were very friendly.I can imagine in the summertime it must be outstanding.Nice modern Bathrooms
The Rooms are out of time. The Restaurant has really no charm and the waitress was not friendly and was not educated, in addition the food wasn’t really attractive. We felt totally uncomfortable what was a pitty.I recognized that only the Receptionist could talk in English with us
Very nicely styled room, good bed, superb restaurant.
Short term parking for checkin could be marked with signs in front of the chateau.
The room was on the smaller side but the bed and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom was not large, but again, very comfortable and clean.
The entrance road into the chateau was less than grand. Following several suggestions to book a reservation in advance at the restaurant, upon arriving, we found ourselves brought to an overflow room with 4 banquet tables, up a flight of stairs from the actual restaurant.
The chateau dates back to the late 1100s and its medieval style is unlike that of the Renaissance which most people think of when they hear the word chateau.. The grounds are spectacular. The rooms are beautiful and large with outstanding bathrooms. The staff is superb and the hotel restaurant is absolutely wonderful.
Wonderful stay. The evening meal with wine tasting and breakfast were fantastic
Our room had a lovely outside area but so many mosquitoes. Bring mosquito repellent if travelling in summer.
It was beautiful and in the forest stunning location
There was almost no toilet paper in the bathroom we had to borrow paper from our friend in another room,
Beautiful park and superb pool. The rooms were nice though not luxurious. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is conveniently located near Sommieres.
The main problem is the access and circulations within the hotel. Very weird. The access road ends into a residential area which is rather shabby - not adequate for a hotel of this class. Internal circulations are strange. Our room was next to a workshop in which workers were fixing stuff during the day, etc we tried to have lunch at 1pm and were told it was too late in a not too pleasant manner.
Breakfast was fresh and local, lovely foods and breads. Continental buffet Vs cooked to order foods.
A bit warm in the room because it was very hot out but manageable with fans.
I have stayed before and the property is spectacular. Lovely pool. Good accommodation. Set in a beautiful setting. Reception staff and massage staff lovely and very helpful.
This stay the waiting staff and cleaning not so good. The mirror had children hand prints from last guest not cleaned in two days. 30cm cobweb both days. Bins not emptied. Requesting desert menu never came and we abandoned this. The property is fantastic and from time to time there are staff changes so am sure this was maybe an isolated time and next year would be better.
The Hotel has a lot of potential because the Chateau is really beautiful with large and comfortable spaces located in the middle of a relaxing park and charming countryside.
The whole organization is a bit improvised, the crew is young with somehow a positive attitude but there's an evident lack of professionality and specific hotelerie skills. The rooms are large and comfortable but obsolete and vintage, there's the clear need for a refresh. There is no room service which for a 4 Stars is something forbidden and not in line with basic service standards. The phone in the room was out of order and the quality of the WiFi with huge room for improvement.I could continue, but this was the general feeling: a nice place, a lot of potential but reality not in line with expectations and price positioning.
The receptionists were very nice .The rooms were clean. And the property is very beautiful!
The breakfast is very simple. Nothing special. The distances in the hotel are very big and the roads are not very good to walk in. In the reception there is always one person, sometimes it is very difficult to talk to them by phone and the distance walking is far..
Great stay at the Chateau! The location is fantastic close to a small town if you feel like leaving the grounds. We stayed in an annexe room with terrace which was lovely. Pool was great, towels super fluffy and comfy beds!
Finding reception can be tricky (tip: Stop at the ‘visitors entrance’ and checkin at reception in the main building before parking at the ‘main entrance’ - otherwise it’s a bit of a walk!)Make sure you book the restaurant for dinner, we missed out during our stay as they were fully booked, we managed to have lunch there though. Also, if the restaurant is fully booked they can’t do room service so just plan aheadAir con isn’t super cold, but it’s enough to get by on 35+ degree days
beautiful venue with well kept grounds, lovely pool and great bar by the pool as well.
the food at dinner was really not good, we felt rushed and the quality of our main courses were not great. the desserts however were good.
This is a stunning chateau in beautiful grounds. We had a great room with a balcony. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The pool needs maintenance.
One of the best Chateau hotels that I have stayed in France! Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent clean rooms and a nice breakfast buffet. Great fast wifi.
