staff were nice. nice to be able to use a towel without a charge. beds were okay comfy and curtain was good touch!

not really any good place to dry things since the heaters were turned off at night. the breakfast was expensive for what you were given plus staff was late making breakfast because of the snow.

The facilities were clean, the staff are amazing, super helpful, kind and hard working! I love the meals that they provide, delicious and not too heavy! The onsen partnered with lje is relaxing and accommodating. I always recommend to friends when they want a trip for relaxation and snow time! Thank you again lje, you guys never disappoint <3

Besides the delicious food lje provides, the location does not have a lot of restaurant options. They make up for it with ramen and snacks at the onsen and food sold out on the slopes of the mountain

Very walkable to and from Tashiro Ropeway Station, very friendly staff. Included food is decent. The included onsen ticket to the nearby onsen is great after a day on the slope. On my last day they allowed me to store my stuff in the lobby, so I could hit the slopes, come back and enjoy another onsen, before grabbing my stuff for bus ride back to train station.

It is still a hostel, so expect plenty people roaming around and reasonable noise.

Very clean and peaceful when I came the early December. They provided free ticket for onsen which is totally a plus if you finish snowboarding all day.

The public area was quite clean and relaxing.

The room is very small, just fit with three futon beds, the heater with bad smell, ventilation was not well. The shared toilets are being occupied all the time, not easy to reach when you needed though they were right ourside of our room.

Tatami are too thin caused backache. Breakfast and dinner are too plain and portions are small.

The pass to the sauna and onsen and every day was fantastic. Clean place with good ski storage.

Kerosene heaters made the room smell. Had to open the door and window to air it out.

Friendly staff and efficient customer service. Common bathrooms and living spaces are kept clean. There is washer and dryer free to use. Appreciate the complimentary onsen passes.

Quite a distance away from the town area. Need to take a bus, hotel provides the bus schedule.

The staff were very friendly, they offer a breakfast and dinner service which was very good value. The location is amazing, very close to multiple ski resorts and the views are amazing! We would definitely go back there.

The public transport between towns took us a little while to understand as majority of the bus drivers do not speak English

Food tastes good but it is all same for every day.

The whole apartment is a cozy place. Very clean and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner provided was also very delicious.We also joined the snowshoe tour and it was very fun. Totally enjoyed it.

As we had huge luggage and our rooms were on 2nd floor, it was tough to bring up and down our luggage. However the staff were very kind to help us. So it was not an issue. If I were to stay there again, I would forward the large luggage to the next hotel instead.

super clean at all times, spacious, new and renovated bathrooms/rooms, free laundry, friendly staff, 7 minutes on foot to ski resort, entry ticket to free onsen every night. you can add a breakfast+ dinner meal plan for 2000 yen.

this is a good place to stay if you want to focus your trip on Kagura Tashiro ski resort but it is far from the city center and the bus doesn’t come too often so if you want to get a taxi it’ll become pricy! Stinkbugs may come but the hotel is taking all preventative measures! however, overall a great stay!

I loved this place! It’s a wonderful traditional Japanese hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had everything we needed. Check in process was online so that made things easier than usual. They give you a complimentary voucher to use the onsen that’s just a few minutes walk away and we really enjoyed it. Would absolutely recommend!

The interior of the renovated old house was clean and very convenient. I was able to enjoy draft beer at the bar and had a great time.

The hotel does not have a bath, but it does have a shower room. There is a hot spring facility near the hotel.

The staff, location and food was great.

The location is good, where is nearby the Tashiro gondola station. The hotel is very cozy and those staffs are very friendly and helpful. Appreciate there has a female shower room.

The meal could be improve

The environment and view in the winter is absolutely stunning. Although the lodge itself doesn't offer a hot spring, free coupons corresponding to nights of stay for an adjacent public hot spring was provided.

If you do not have a car, reaching the place could be very troublesome. There are less than 10 bus per day and they only take cash and can be quite crowded so bringing a lot of luggage and ski equipment can be difficult.
