    Pros +

    • The location, the breakfast, the pool, and the rooftop bar. Mariana at the front desk is lovely. We had an issue with housekeeping and she solved it very kindly and promptly — she’s amazing.
    • Location was great and design of building is beautiful. Nice views. Beach club for chairs and umbrellas. Front desk staff was helpful. Kids area was nice to have. Breakfast food was included and fine, but a cattle call with a ton of people.
    • Great location in one of the best spots of Rio. Well-presented breakfast. Good facilities.

    Cons -

    • The dinner buffet is very repetitive and they don’t allow you to order à la carte. If you stay for several days, it gets tiring.
    • Very plain all white room, kind of odd for "design" hotel. Price was high due to being Jan 2. Lobby had zero vibe and sushi restaurant is literally in the lobby, felt like an airport lounge. Very small pool that is insanely crowded with people of all ages. Not enough seating on rooftop. They do a great job of making it look so stunning in the pics. VERY long lines at front desk, staff was very kind to prioritize us since we had a baby.
    • Check in process took about one hour because of reduced staff for so many guests. The A/C was not enough potent in the room. There’s a nice pool area, which is located right in front of the beach, but the experience was ruined due to very loud DJ music next to the pool. There was also a whirpool, for which we were charged despite we hadn’t being warned in advance that there was a considerable fee.

    Location

Price versus quality. Insanely overpriced for the quality of staff, facilities, food

Great location, amazing views from the top pool, good breakfast!

the AC was noisy and Tuesdays and Thursdays i was told they are playing music all night in the hallways.... no idea why!

I loved this hotel with such a great location right on Recreio beach. The staff are super professional and friendly. Breakfast was really good and the rooftop's pool is just stunning. Everything was amazing!

Hotel nice and close to the beach, decent hotel not sure its worth the 4 stars. Hotel rooms are a bit dated.

Employees made sloppy mistakes, messing up room service orders, charging for minibar that wasnt used, some staff was downright rude. We and other guests had to grab our own cutlery as there was nothing on the outside tables during breakfast. Waitress got really annoyed by this. If you're not there to party id recommend not taking a sea view room. Hotel has a DJ on weekends starting around 11am which is incredibly loud and annoying. On topof that, here are also a few beach cafes that play very loud music all afternoon into the night. We asked to change rooms due to the noise, which was a downgrade. Still had to pay for the more expensive room which was disappointing.

The bed linen was tired and ripped when we arrived on the first evening.Bedding - room service was overlooked on one occasion. The room decor was in need of a renovation, looked tired in certain areas.Rooms were very quickly cleaned, no dusting on the headboards, or bedside lights The beds need replacing, when checking underneath for any potential misplaced items, the base of the bed were in tatters, hanging on the floor!Top cover for the bed was only changed once in two weeks!Balcony glass was not cleaned at all!Door keys were turning red towards the end of the stay, resulting in repetitive journeys back and forth to reception from the seventh floor!

The hotel staff was great and helped with everything, the hotel's location is excellent and is located on the seafront, the excellent pool is on the roof of the hotel and overlooks the sea, and the pool bar is also excellent. I got an upgrade for my room and it was really great, the room was clean and big, there are a lot of restaurants near the hotel and the breakfast at the hotel was also good.

The toilet and shower were small.

Everything was great in general, breakfast was great and bed was very comfortable with many pillows.

The seaview rooms could have better sound isolation as you can almost hear everything happening in the street in front (I used my earplugs everyday as I am a light sleeper). The gym is too small to allow a personal trainer constantly using the facilities to run classes for people who are not even guests of the hotel, this made no sense.

Excellent location in front of the beach where chairs and umbrellas are provided for guests. Excellent breakfast, varied. Also the buffet is very tasty

The pool and bar opening hours are short, closing at 8pm. Also the beach service ends at 6 o'clock and the chairs are taken away

    The location

The pool was dirty and needs to be clean. The water is not clean. There was no available time for the spa. My sister asked food in her room and she never received.

I heard about this hotel a couple of years ago and only now had the chance to stay there. I liked the modern feel it had and the fact that ia was located away from the main areas.

I thought the hotel seemed a bit worn…restaurant chair , bathroom mirror , chair in the room, carpets in the hallway to the room smelled at least on the 6th floor where I stayed. I also was charged more than what I booked for. I also didn’t like the check in time at 15:00, a bit late and the 12:00 check out , too early.

    9WalterPosted on: 2-17-2025

The location is just perfect, perfect view from veranda and rooftop over the beach of Recreio till Barra beach, in my opinion Recreio beach is way more beautiful than famos Copacabana.

Beautiful hotel in terms of design and features.

Hotel is far from Rio. The staff are not too accommodating with the foreign visitors. Language barriers with staff (less English speaking staff). Restaurant hours were limited.

I like the staff and the environment is good too

I like the swimming pool, that´s why this time I bring my fmaily here again, but when I arrive that day I ate the dinner, the whole night staying diarrhea and vomiting, so next day I didn´t enjoy anything and stay at bed, was so bad experience.

    The beach pool area

Food always cold at buffet Lack of English or any other language besides Portuguese Housekeeping needs work in 5 days never vacuum floor or picked up dirty glasses and cups

The room was beautiful with amazing views of the ocean. The hotel has inhouse restaurant and a selection of restaurants within short distances. The staff during breakfast was very response and the restaurant itself had a variety of selection from cold to hot eats. The hotel provided beach towels and chairs, a plus for visitors using a plane. The pool is also nice and user-friendly.

Due to the nature of the location on a beachfront, there is a number of kiosks opposite the hotel that keep music very loud to later hours.

Lovely clean hotel... right by the beach.. helpful and friendly staff. Very good value for money.

Late afternoon and evenings were quite noisy with street music until about 11.30pm at night. Restaurant food was good standard but quite repetitive buffet style after staying for 4 nights.
