Hotel is nicely done, modern and new. Location is good. Rooms were excellent, nice balcony etc.

Pool was an absolute ice bath which the staff then tried to tell us was because it was a Salt pool... it gets no sun all day and they don't heat it.

Only catering to one kind of traveler. Not really geared to international traveler. No warmth with any of the staff. Very transactional.

Adding items like waffles or pancakes would improve it.

Location was great for exploring Penang and plenty of food options within walking distance. Rooms well appointed. Staff were approachable and generally eager to help.

Despite contacting the hotel in advance—and receiving several follow-ups from family members who checked in earlier—to ensure that our room was prepared with the extra beds prior to our late-night arrival, we arrived to find that only one bed had been made up. The additional bedding provided was very basic (my children described the blankets as "towel quality"), and we had to request suitable bedding multiple times before it was addressed —there may have been some language barriers that contributed to the confusion.Towels were also quite worn and could benefit from an upgrade.There was ongoing confusion regarding the breakfast inclusion for our room, with staff changing which guests were included on a daily basis, which created unnecessary inconvenience.

Smell of smoking cigarettes in the bathroom and being awoken at 6am by the sound of mosqie peauers (room 502) in one of the rooms we booked.

This hotel is a hit and miss. I felt that there are many areas which need improvements. Room is dark despite turning on all the lights. Bathroom sliding door is heavy and not user friendly. It’s a hassle to have to keep opening and closing the door whenever we need to go to the bathroom. Bed is very hard and not to our liking. Cleanliness needs to be improved as we found blood stain on the toilet tiles. It’s also dusty overall. Receptionist could use some training to be more welcoming and hospitable like the concierge staff. We would rate this hotel as 4 ⭐️ at best based on the above experiences.
