OZO George Town Penang

I like the sea view and the breakfast choice and kind staff at breakfast. Also the staff who cleaned my room daily were nice.

I didnt lkke that when I arrived the floor of the room was still dirty, not a good welcome.

Great location, easy to walk to key areas of interest. Clean spacious rooms.

Child's breakfast rate was supposedly not included in the booking.com rate even though I selected and paid for the correct occupancy at the room. When checking in at 1am this was rather annoying, and the person checking us in could barely understand or speak English. I paid the extra fee out of sheer annoyance to get checked in as quickly as possible. I think breakfast quality could be better.

We had a wonderful stay at OZO Hotel Penang! The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to checkout. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for a relaxing stay.The hotel’s location is excellent, close to many attractions, cafes, and shopping areas, making it really convenient to explore Penang. The breakfast had a great variety and everything tasted fresh.The overall vibe of the hotel is calm and well-maintained, and the facilities like the pool and gym were in great condition. Definitely one of the best value-for-money stays in Penang — would happily come back again!

Location and cleanliness.

The bed was terrible, it is too soft and hurt our backs. We complained and the staff said there is nothing they can do. We stayed here before but it was not like this. A hotel bed is the key factor I chose a hotel, so when the bed is hurting my back, it is a deciding factor for me. Although I like the hotel location and other things. Please fix your beds!

Pool was small.

Great location, definitely walkable around for old town but the heat does get to you. There is a small convenience store just across the street so great for essentials. The pool was great, staff were lovely and the rooms were clean and spacious.

The gym was quite small but had the essentials.

I got a room on Level 20.. Nice sea view !

No eating places or convenience stores on this road

The location is good, close to major areas, about 15 min. walk. The rooftop pool is great. The staff is friendly. Room is quite spacious.

Housekeeping not done very well. Did not come one day, noticed floor is dirty, obviously no vacuum cleaning. Soundproofing not so good.

Property was located in the good spot. All staff were exceptional and very helpful. Room was always kept in perfect condition by Abu. Breakfast had a big range. Very good hotel to stay would recommend to everybody.

Everything was very good.

Although the selection was less. The chefs were great and made the Omelets just the way we liked. Kudo to Chef Aaron & Sirazul for taking care of our needs and for Tour recommendations and checking with us every time we came for breakfast. It felt very personalized.

Comfy room, nice breakfast, easy location to get to as near main areas but not too busy, restaurant staff lovely and friendly/helpful. roof pool nice for a swim (although sitting area around it small and basic).

reception staff were a little unhelpful as we made a couple of minor requests that were not followed up

The location of the hotel is unbeatable! Most things were within 15 mins walk (if you wish to walk in this Penang heat) otherwise, a short 5 mins car ride. Staff were friendly and helper, the connecting rooms we booked were great for our family size and overall comfortable for us.Shoutout to staff Sirazul who welcomed us warmly and checked in on us if everything went fine during the stay. Thank you again!

Could be a bit more thorough when cleaning the rooms for the next guests’ stay.

Great location, amazing staff, really clean and very comfortable bed. I think that is the best hotel we had in Malaysia.

Bedroom nice & the bed good and bathroom clean.

Breakfast not much choice and like Dim Sim not hot and taste not nice. TV not much choice & Bath tower so old.

The room is clean. The parking is super cool as it is similar to the stacking parking in Japan.

After checking in, the first room given had smoke cigarettes smell which we had to request to change. The beds were not comfortable as it was too soft. I think for a short stay it is great.

The beds, linen and pillow here are the best quality i have experienced in recent years.. wonderful pool , no bar- but thats ok, gym has Technogym equipment- and is actually air conditioned (unlike 1/3) hotels.Linen - room service very goodRoom service - food was very good and they also collected the plate outside within 1 hour(super impressed& very good )- Ozo was very good.Thank you for hosting our team - again this year from Australia.

On 2nd day, my card locked me out - although I had extended to a 3rd - required reseting (bit of an inconvenience).There was no international telephone line, x tried twice to get the reception to authorise / unlock access - but unable to contact my bank (overseas).

Very clean, good size room, comfortable large bed, excellent shower, excellent AC which you need. Fridge in room ? TV & Wi-Fi good, Tea, coffee & water supplied each day. Good breakfast, eggs to order. Nice pool overlooking city & ocean with a few sun beds, towels provided Very central for cultural hotspots. Staff are all wonderful We would highly recommend

Bar availability for afternoon/ evening drinks & snacks would be nice.Restaurant last orders 4:30pm. Just a minor detail & would not deter us from stopping here again

Great room, as a family of 3 we went for connecting rooms. Rooms were really great. Well furnished. Breakfast was good. The pool looked too murky for a swim though. Gym is tiny but ok to fit 2-3 people. Some staff seemed friendly and welcoming, others disengaged, consistency in service would make a big difference. Greeting guests with enthusiasm makes a big difference.

We wanted to stay very close to the central area of Georgetown. Everything was just a foot walk away. The pool on the roof was very good to chill during the hot time of the day. Rooms were quite and comfortable. Would stay there again.

I have told the hotel that I should not be charged the tourism fee and all they say is that I should work with Booking.com on this and get the money back. I've been trying to get in touch with Booking.com for the last one month and they have not resolved this issue and I have no one to talk to about this. I have told the hotel staff and showed them my malaysian passport and they did not say anything at the check-in counter. I was under the impression the tourism fees were taken out but they were not and I only realised it when I got home. It is not good that I should spend my time asking for this refund. Can someone at the hotel resolve it with Booking.com? They asked me for my invoice and payment and I have given everything to them. The hotel should just tell Booking.com and resolve it for me.
