Saxony Huts

We stayed in one of the older huts as on a tight budget and wanted beach front location . The views were what made this place . The staff are great and cleaning staff could not have been more helpful finding us a small balcony table to work on. We had a fan and that kept us cool.

Bed was comfy however huts need an upgrade as very rickety, plumbing poor and Lino ripped etc .. more hooks and lights would have been good.

Peaceful, quiet basic, hut right on the beach. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Short walk to shops ,restaurants and a range of drop in yoga places

The budget huts are functional, basic - could do with some tlc

We love staying at Saxony when we are in Agonda. The Huts are located at the top corner of the beach right on the sand. We like to have a non A/C room so we can sleep with the windows open listening to the sea. The only passers by are the cows and the odd dog. The huts aren’t the cheapest you can find, but the location is worth the price. The attached restaurant serves lovely meals and sunset beers. There is also surf rental and school on site. See you next year x

Location was great right on the beach

Room was too small, dirty and very very basic. Staff were rude and overcharged us when we cancelled as the fan in the room kept cutting out and it was too hot to stay there.

Location and room was good. staff is very friendly and helpful. Value for money

The food and the people is good. I was there for 3 nights, I would recommand its quite and singer in evening was exceptional. If you are looking for sufing then its a perfect destination

There was a stray puppies covered in cuts and fleas that lived behind the hut. He howled in pain all day every day. There was also another group of dogs that sat and barked at the huts from 6am every morning which woke everyone up. The huts also got freezing cold in the night and the blanket wasn’t enough to keep you warm. We also had an ant infestation in the bathroom

This is our second long stay at Saxony, the last time was about six years ago. There has been a change in management since then. Teddy and Nick now oversee and run Saxony Beach Huts, supported by a fantastic team who are welcoming, caring and full of fun. The transformation at Saxony is quite incredible. Whilst the accommodation is basic ( we were aware of that from previous visits) we found our seafront hut to be spotlessly clean with good quality bedding and towels.Rooms are cleaned and linen etc changed every couple of days.The location of the seafront huts is unrivalled with the Arabian Sea literally lapping at your door.We were very happy to spend three weeks at Saxony, we experienced nothing but kindness and genuine hospitality from all the team.We thank each one of you for making us so comfortable and happy

The huts were right to the beach with a little veranda towards the sea, which is great. The interior is basic, but the beds have mosquito nets, so we had calm sleeps. The beach in Agonda has many accomodations, but still it was not too crowded, even though we were staying there during high season. Saxony beach Huts is located almost at the end of the beach, wich makes it even more calm. The restaurant was nice and served good food, we liked to stay there and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff was really friendly. If you like to stay at the beachside in Goa and have some peace, this is the right place, as there are no parties.

Location was right on the beach .But the road was little ticket inside with no lights at all.

The basic hygiene is missing in rooms.We stayed during NYE .Overpriced was expected but the cleanliness is just missing.The corner tables in rooms were filled with dust .The rooms were filled with cobwebs. It is like the owners are doing a favour by letting people stay having charged to hefty amount.

You’re paying a premium to be on the beach, so the location is definitely good if you love hearing the waves as you sleep and waking up to jump in the sea. Though dogs are everywhere in Goa so expect barking too. Food was pretty good at the restaurant. The main guy worked hard to keep the whole place running but other staff seemed a bit clueless. Good to be able to exchange euros at a fair rate too.

The price just wasn’t worth the facilities - you’re paying a lot more to be on the beach but the hut itself is uncomfortable - it’s shabby but not chic. Cramped room, holes in the mosquito net, no towels or toiletries, cold outdoor shower, internet signal very poor. Couldn’t pay on card despite them having a machine. I think the owners need to take a fresh look at their properties and think how they can improve them to match the price they charge. I’m glad I waited to leave a review because I’ve literally stayed in 25 places since on my travels so can confidently say more should be expected for the price. As an example, I paid half the amount in Palolem for a peaceful AC room (not hut!) that was super clean, spacious, soft towels that were replaced, surrounded by a lovely garden and with a huge bathroom and hot shower (it’s called sea shades - 2 min walk from beach). Many other examples too.

They gave us a bad room. I believe they are not transparent about the room choices and allot them subjectively. All the better new rooms were given to Anglo Saxon (sic) people

The water is just steps away, surrounded by beautiful rocks that add to the natural charm. The beach is wonderfully serene, with very few people around, providing a perfect escape. The hut’s location is ideal, just a short distance from the water, offering easy access to the shoreline.During my stay, I had the chance to enjoy a variety of activities that were perfect for everyone, including kids. The boat ride was both relaxing and scenic, while the horse ride added an adventurous touch for the little ones. Surfing on the beach was exhilarating, and kayaking in the river was the perfect way to connect with nature. The range of activities ensured that there was something for everyone to enjoy, making it an ideal destination for families looking to unwind, explore, and immerse themselves in nature’s beauty.

I was disappointed with my stay due to several discrepancies and lack of basic amenities. All the room pictures on Booking.com clearly showed A/C, and I specifically requested the host to share updated photos once my booking was confirmed, but I never received them. To my surprise, I was given a non-A/C hut. This was particularly uncomfortable as the hut was west-facing, and given the humidity, it was unbearable during the day. While a fan was provided upon request, it was ineffective in providing any relief from the heat.Additionally, the room was not cleaned once during our 4-night stay. It became quite messy due to sand, and the lack of cleaning was concerning from a hygiene perspective. What added to the inconvenience was that not a single bottle of water was provided to guests free of charge, which is a basic service most accommodations offer. These factors significantly affected the quality of our stay and did not meet the expectations set by the listing.

Being on the beach

No sun loungers outside hut. Would have like drink food service at the hut.My pillow smelt.
