Anema Wellness & Resort Gili Lombok - Diving Center PADI

The staff was very nice and friendly.

The equipment is old, the prices are terribly high and do not correspond to the quality. We had mice in the villa.

The location is remote and quiet but also, very close to the Gili islands. The staff are excellent. Room is very clean, and the smell of the essences in the room are wonderful. Kayaking at the bay is available. Snorkeling and Scuba Diving tours (with a highly experienced dive-master) are fantastic.

The food is delicious, but the portions are small comparing to the price.

The staff were all are amazing, big shout out to Lio!, honestly this place gets most of its stars just from the staff from me. I was also given a free breakfast for the duration of my stay, and a lovely welcome drink which was very lovely. The villas with the private pools are also lovely, very spacious and private.

The location of the property is a little bit isolated, you really need a car/scooter if you want to explore other places which are further. This means it just makes it easier/forces you to get everything from the resort such as food/ tours etc. However in saying so the resort can organise any tours/activity for you which will include transport/arranging a guide for you. I was also disappointed that there were no dairy free options of having plain toasted bread for breakfast. All of the bread was pre-buttered. As I am on a dairy free diet I requested to have my breakfast with plain toasted bread that does not have butter/margarine and was surprised that the resort could not cater for this. Fortunately when I did go for my waterfall tour the love staff member Lio who was very helpful took me to the Mart where I was able to buy my own bread.

We initially booked a one-week stay at Anema Resort as part of our four-week trip to Lombok, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay for an additional week. The food is absolutely delicious, the location is serene and picturesque, and the peace and quiet are unparalleled. However, what truly sets Anema Resort apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We can wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway. Thank you to the Anema team for making our stay so special—we'll definitely be back!

We only stayed one night as passing through Lombok, wish we could have stayed longer! Staff were incredible and kind. They helped us out so much after having issues on our travels. Their kindness goes a long way. Beautiful big spacious rooms and lovely beach restaurant. We will definitely come back! Thank you again.

There is very little to do around the property. The food at the hotel isn’t very good, and there are very few other restaurants nearby.

The place is nice, we had a villa with private pool and the room was clean. They also clean the room pool daily. The staff are nice and we also had an amazing couples + feet massage. We had very good food and the staff brings the food to you when you are on the beach beds which is very touching.

The location is far from the international airport (1h30) but near the ferry boat we needed to go to the Gili Islands. The mattress is a bit hard. There was some miscommunication between the reception and the kitchen. I booked a romantic dinner for the day of arrival but this was not handed over to the kitchen (only after our arrival which was only a few hours before the dinner time) so they could not do it on the day we chose. The last transfer was also not booked until the night before when we went to pay the extras and we had to ask again for it, so my advise is to check and double check all those extras you book.

Close to the beach

We only stayed one day and night to catch the boat to Gili. We ate at the hotel. The food was super overpriced, very small portions and not good at all. Worst in our 7 week trip in Indonesië. Our airco broke twice in the 24 hours we were there. Staff is kinda friendly but can hardly speak English so hard to communicate.

The villa had Soft beds, quality pillows and the cleanliness was phenomenal! Staff were very friendly and always greeting with a smile! And could not do enough for you.

The only thing I would have liked to be a bit better would be the food at the restaurant, as it was a little mediocre for the price.

Although the resort is in a very remote part of the island, it's a lovely place to stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, I liked that on arrival the resort set up a private watts app chat for your room so if you need anything or have questions you can contact reception quickly and easily. Our room was lovely and clean, spacious (it did make us chuckle in a funny way, that the back of the wardrobe has a separate sliding door that opens directly into the bathroom) of course was a big main bathroom door We had a junior suite which has lots of space, big bathroom, house keeping ensured our room was checked minimum once a day and came in if rain was forcast to move our outdoor sofa cushions to keep them dry. After requesting some extra beach towels were we went diving most days and we could not dry them quick enough with it being humid they happily kept changing our towels so we have dry ones each day for divingThe restrante staff were very friendly, rembered all of our names from our group (x6 of us) quickly, allways welcoming.There is a padi dive centre on site, small but friendly. They have a range of dive sites available sutiable for variety of divers experience and levels. There is a lovely little beach bar no more then 100m along the beach which was a lot cheaper then the resort who were friendly and welcoming speaking good English and good food

There was nothing I really didn't like/ thought was bad that would stop us wanting to visit in the future.The resort is quite isolated so it's not possible to walk to the local village which is something to bear in mind if booking but it was easy enough to use the local taxi service which the hotel can help book on request.What would be more useful is having more areas/ hanging space for drying things outside There was myself and my husband in our room and both spent a lot of time diving, we needed to rinse our kit, swim wear, wetsuits etc each day and it was a bit difficult spacing everything out to help them dry. There was 1 bamboo rack but with 2 people's dive kit we could of done with some more hanging rack or even some hanging hooks to put things in the coat hangers outside would of been really helpful.With padi's regulations if you havnt dived in a certian time frame you are required to complete a refresher course before diving (which I completely agree with) the pool refresher course I felt was very brief and no were near enough was covered both theory and in the pool itself compared to other padi centres I've dived with around the world. For example I've done a good hour theory session with knowledge reviews question that is completed indervidualy first to see what you remember then instructor will go through it with you (we did not get given this) and some basic but very important skills were not covered in the pool at all before doing a open water dive. Again examples of recovering a regulator if its dropped behind you, mask removal and replace (only a flood and clear excerise was done) and alternate air source with buddy and assent was not even talked about.

We stayed just one night at this hotel. The beach side is very relaxing and also the rooms are very nice. The sea in front of the hotels also seemed very nice but unfortunatly it was possible to swim in it only in the morning due to the low tide.The staff was very frienly and smiling.

The water of the shower stink which was quite disappointing. The food, compared to other restaurants / hotels is quite expensive and also the cost of the hotel, compared to other hotels in Bali / Lombok is very high.The room, at our arrival, was not ready although we arrived after the possible check-in hour.

The beach is dirty, the hotel does not clean and maintain as tides bring in garbage. The location is remote with very few options for food. The hotel restaurant is not good and very overpriced.The room amenities are lacking, such as blankets, face towels etc

It’s very peaceful and extremely well run.Very beautiful, plenty of places to rest and sea gaze or pool gaze all made for comfort. The staff were absolutely delightful and instantly helpful.The food was delicious and beautifully cooked, open air restaurant. I had a great massage too. Really cannot say enough good things.

- great personnel, they are very kind and helpful- not that big / massive, a large venue and only 35 rooms which is very relaxing- nice managers (lady and man)- on arrival they create a personal whatsapp group which includes all staff. You can ask your questions there and get immediate help. Best service ever!- the beds by the beach are very good and relaxing - they offer a beamer with Hulu in the room which allows for great Netflix nights

- the food is not good. On the first day, the dinner tasted great, the second and third day the food was terrible and even got us very sick. Indonesians should not be able to mess up a nasi goreng or soto ayam. Closeby there are no other restaurants so this is a big deal.- the venue looks quite dated / old but this should not be a problem since there is a lot of space and most importantly, the pool is good and the sunbeds are nice.- they offered tours such as boat ride / trip to waterfalls but they are way overpriced (x5 of actual price you can get outside of the hotel).- the beds in the room are a bit hard (probably because watching too much Netflix)

The towels were old and smelled bad, both the restaurant and spa were overpriced for the quality and for Lombok in general, and the hotel is now quite dated I would say.

The breakfast was very good. It suited my family. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Restaurant is expensive, the food is ok, but at this price it should be better. I'm ok to pay expensive food but it needs to be very delicious. Beer way too expensive. Like double price than everywhere.
