Slooooooow internet, if you plan to do some remote work or meetings, then you have be lucky to make them successfully.The pool water was salty.

It is a really nice glamping resort. The swimming pool is nice, and the tents are cute.

It still gets quite hot in the tent even with the airco on, the food was “okay”

Our tent was amazing, comfortable bed and bathroom. We were very impressed with the structure also of the pool and restaurant. We rented bikes directly with them.Also we felt really welcomed by the manager who gave us restaurant recommendations.

The main lady at the reception, Ms Sukuma (apologies if I got that wrong), was an absolute gem! She was so welcoming and so sweet and to mention, always available! She made sure we had an amazing time on the island and checked in on us when we were arriving or leaving for the day. She and her staff hosted us and made our stay the very best. We are definitely going to be staying again.

A typical experience within a tent in a tropical island. Room was equipped with air conditioning working well. Outdoor spaces were clean, equipped and organised. Staff has been always prompt to help and available. All the related services have been sufficient.

A short walk to the beach and nearer to the calmer part of the island. If you're on a budget, it's a good option.

The pool is open until 10pm and can get noisy depending on the type of guests. As they are tents with outdoor bathrooms, consider the practicality of this set-up (no sound-proofing, a lot of bugs, mosquitoes).

It's a lovely property with spacious rooms and a good pool & closest beach is only a 5-min walk but what really stood out was the warmth of the staff at reception - she was so kind and affectionate! And very helpful with calling a horse cart, boat bookings etc. Thank you!

This is not a critique of the property as such, more of an FYI for other travellers. It's a bit far from the main stretch closer to the harbour so if you intend to keep going to the restaurants and pubs there, it helps if you rent a cycle/ e-bike. It's too long to walk to the harbour side. (there are restaurants within walking distance as well)

Omg to be honest I don’t want to share this place with anybody. Because it’s soooo good, I always come here and don’t want it to become more expensive and overcrowded. Special thanks for Sukma - she was extremely helpful with everything- she even organized amazing sunrise private boat. And she was so nice and attentive to every detail, we felt so vip with her, she solve any our request immediately.

Sukma, the manager, is the best! She helped us arrange everything we needed during our stay. Very nice place, clean, comfortable. Large rooms. Good breakfast. You can rent great bikes at the hotel. Would come back!

It’s not that close to the bars and restaurants, and also you need to walk 2km or take a horse from the pier when you get to the island. It can be a little noisy from neighbor rooms since the walls are kind of like a tent, but it wasn’t a problem at all.

The lady who runs the hotel was so, so friendly and very welcoming! She helped us all the way through our stay and was the highlight of the hotel

Was a little hard to find at first if walking on foot, but easy to get to once you know where it is

This was a lovely tucked away oasis on the island. It’s in a more quiet pocket of Gili yet so close to the main road that cuts across the island as well as near sunset point with the strip of restaurants, beach, and bars. The whole place was so so clean, the staff were super sweet and friendly, nice breakfast.

It’s pretty easy for mosquitos to enter the room because of the sliding door but I’ve accepted that that’s most places

The staff were absolutely lovely. Super clean and lovely rooms. Pool was also very nice.

The location was quite far away from the ferry port which meant it was further away from restaurants and bars. I felt the hotel restaurant could’ve been slightly better to make up for this.

We loved our stay here. It was very different to other accommodation on our trip. Your own private outdoor bathroom was a unique experience! The woman at reception was so helpful. She organised our trips and made sure we had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay. It rained alot when we were there so can't comment too much on the pool area. It was all very clean and well maintained.

It was a good bit away from the main bar and restaurant area but we rented the bikes and it took 10/15 minutes to cycle back at night. There are bars close by but not as lively. Paths or lack of got very muddy after the rain. No fault of the owners but it is off the main track a bit.

From the moment you walk into the Gili Tenda you are truly looked after. The team are nothing short of fantastic and right from the off they made sure to cater for anything I might want or need. The place is tucked away in the centre of the island (nearer the west coast then east) but handily they offer a bicycle hire service, which did come in very handy. Also as I was staying 14 days they did me a nice little deal on that as well. There wasn’t much on the food menu per se, but it was plenty enough to vary up and I had lunch there most days. The prices I found to not just be reasonable but in some cases they were cheaper than buying from the local shop! But its the team that truly make the place, all of whom work incredibly hard to keep the place running smoothly. It was noticable they all performed multiple roles, working the bar, cooking the food and cleaning the rooms. Over the two weeks I think the same team was present on every single day. That would explain why it was sometimes difficult to get hold of them when you were at the bar as they simply couldn’t hear the bell! It was a tad more expensive than other spots on the island, but still amazingly affordable. If I ever come back to Gili T, I will be coming here again, without a shadow of a doubt.

These are purely minor grumbles, but as mentioned staff could be hard to get hold of as they were performing multiple functions. The rooms are indeed like luxury glamping tents, which means you can hear EVERYTHING around the place from animals to….ahem other guests. Ear plugs highly recommended. Also as mentioned the resort lies off the beaten track which is dimly lit. Deffo recommend if you have a little torch bring it as it’s very useful!!

Quiet and peaceful place. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, with a private covered terrace with seating and sofa - a lovely place to relax. The accommodation is in the style of an African safari tent, comfortable beds, bathroom and toilet is located outside, a pleasant experience. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, good menu choices. There is a nice, large and clean swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Bicycle hire can be used. A few minutes bike ride to the centre to the marina. The staff are very friendly, helpful. I definitely recommend it!

Honestly, I did not enjoy my stay at this place. It was not what I was expecting and I was left with a bad impression.

Booking.com offered two rooms to accommodate my family of 3 when one room had enough space to add an extra bed, so the price ended up being too high for what was offered. The rooms are sturdy tents so you can hear everything from neighboring guests, and the air conditioner, which was uncomfortable at 2am. There were a few small cockroaches in the outdoor bathroom plus frogs and other insects. I've stayed in a few properties in outdoor bathrooms and literally saw nothing more than mosquitos and ants, so this was not welcoming. Room and bathroom were very outdated and I felt the place was not clean enough. No tv in room. Uncomfortable space to put the bags and personal belongings. Very weird set up for the coffee machine/mugs. Reception is cramped and dated. I felt hair and particles while swimming in the pool - none of pools we used in Gili had this. Both of my kids hurt their feet in the pool so maybe there are loose tiles or something. The property/room look nicer in the pictures. The street is still dirt while nearby streets have been paved with bricks and it looked really dirty. Breakfast was just ok and quality of food was low for the high price. Communication via WhatsApp was delayed. Fortunately, I only stayed for 1 night. There were no issues during this short stay, and no rudeness of staff or anything, but overall, not the type of place I would recommend as not my cup of tea.

A very pleasant stay at Gili Tenda. The breakfast was excellent and we had dinner there which was good. The pool was also excellent.

Nothing much to complain about the place as it was as intended. Nice experience.
