    Pros +

    • A truly local gem. Unlike most resorts that cater to Western tastes, this place serves authentic Filipino food—and it was outstanding. Spacious rooms with private areas made the stay even better. Highly recommended.
    • Gorgeous views, exceptional staff, amazing room.
    • The location is visually stunning; however, it lacks activities such as scuba diving and nearby dining options, especially when compared to El Nido. Additionally, it is quite remote.

    Cons -

    • Nothing I can think of. If I had to pick one thing water and coconut water could be slightly cheaper.
    • I didn’t stay longer.
    • Our experience did not meet our expectations, considering the rate of $350 per night. On the first day, we encountered a concerning incident involving an electric shock from the water. After arriving at the villa, my girlfriend received a severe shock while washing her hands and face in the bathroom, and I experienced the same shock while investigating the situation. Fortunately, we did not suffer serious harm. Initially, we were promised a presidential suite, but that offer was later withdrawn. Other issues included the lack of shower gel, a significant amount of lizard droppings, and inadequate air conditioning. Overall, the experience felt more like a $100 stay rather than the premium service we expected. The food quality is notably poor, as mentioned in many other reviews. The dishes are excessively chewy and lack flavor. Each dish costs approximately 600 PHP, but we ultimately chose not to eat and only consumed fruit. The hotel manager claimed they could organize activities; however, they did not have a list of approved vendors. The vendor responsible for the island excursion took us to a location where food preparation was unhygienic. They used dirty utensils and grilled food directly on the beach floor with rusted steel rods. As a result, we were left without meaningful engagement and chose to eat only fruit due to concerns about food poisoning. Upon returning to the resort, we requested a refund for the activity, citing the unprofessional behavior of the island trip organizers. The resort staff informed us that they could only refund half of the payment since we had consumed the fruits they provided and incurred additional travel expenses. Additionally, they requested that we leave the resort the following day after a heated discussion. Throughout my travels in various countries, I have never encountered such a disappointing travel experience.

We were very satisfied with staff, beautiful garden, nice accommodation, nice swimming pool.

I liked the new managements openess to feedback and their obvious desire to make improvements.

Its a fairly long list. Basically the hotel isn't operating at the level its marketing itself at. There are many flaws which need to be resolved, including:1) The food and beverage. I understand that the management is aware of this and changes are being made, but a few things to address include:a) Dont have things on the menu if they're not available. This was a daily occurrence at every meal.b) Buy a proper coffee machine. Although the cafetiere coffee was OK, at this price level the expectation is that there is proper coffee i.e. espresso, latte, etc.c) Have decent bread/pastries available at breakfast, and better still a decent buffet, although I realise this is challenging given the few rooms.d) Ensure you have a decent bartender that knows how to make proper cocktails2) Don't play loud, irritating music at the dining area. The sounds of nature, e.g. birdsong, wind through the trees, waves , and perhaps just quiet and peace etc. are what most folk want. At the very least have ambient music at a v. low level if you insist on subjecting guests to your choice of music.3) The table tennis table is an accident waiting to happen given its proximity to the open fall to the dining area.4) The dart board is tired and doesn't add anything. A proper dartboard , back board and scoreboard doesn't cost a lot.5) The room furnishing is fairly random as are the bathroom amenities.6) The hotel should have its own logo'd, upmarket tricycle and van for guests. Not only would this add to guests experience, it would add revenue and marketing/advertising for the hotel.7) Too many staff seem to be multi-tasking and although they were nice and polite, they need further training.8) Rooms should have a stand / bench for luggage/cases9) The wardrobe design needs improvement. Some of the clothes rails would be inaccessable for those of smaller stature.

Amazing place, great and helpful staff. Very good cuisine.

The refrigerator needs replacing, it smells like mold.

To start off, the resort is beautiful with a lot of greenery. The pool and access to the beach were great amenities. We each had two massages that were both great. Staff is very friendly and professional; however, there is not much they can do with the deficiencies of the resort. For this price point, the menu for lunch/dinner is extensive; however, half of the items are never available. As far as seafood goes, only grouper and tuna; after a couple of days, this gets boring. No meat items are available; no pork chops were ever available. Sparkling water is on the menu but never available. They offered soda water the first day; however, by the third day, it was no longer available. Knowing that we are staying 5 days at the resort and ordering sparkling water for lunch and dinner, this should have been taken care of. The wine list has five red wines and two white wines, which they only had available: one red and one white from the same winemaker. Cocktails are basic and seem like they make them with bottled mixes, not prepared from scratch. The villa is beautiful, but it does not match the quality of the food in general. I agree with another review I read about the smell of mold. When we arrived to check in, it was early, and they offered to put us in a villa for a few hours until our pool villa was ready; this was a nice touch; however, we could barely rest because the smell of mold was very intense, and we felt nauseous. We asked for our room to be made one day, and they never showed up. Also, there is no shower gel, only shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast served in our room was convenient, but the food is very basic, and they charge for every single extra, even a single egg. The full presentation and quality are like a cafeteria, not at resort level. No yogurt is available, as mentioned by other guest reviews; no cereal either. The breakfast plates and tray are never picked up by staff; they sit in the terrace all day.

Very beautiful facility with great nature and absolutely amazing staff. Then again it cannot be compared to resorts in Thailand or Bali of the same category. Very tranquil and peaceful.

Lebanese kitchen all day every day - which clearly is not everyone's favourite and what we expected for more than one week at this resort. Room cleaning was not automatically done every day and we had to ask specifically for it. The beach was not as pretty as in other places in the Philippines.

The hotel is really nice, villa great! Beautiful decoration and amazing views.

It is literally in the middle of nowhere, very nice for a couple of days to relax. In the Menu there were several things that were not available.

The local staff were very accommodating. When someone says they will give you the shirt off of their back, I believed it at this resort. We had several challenges as international tourists and the staff went above and beyond to try to accommodate. While it wasn’t the exact solution we re expecting (coming from a different culture), it definitely got the job done and was well appreciated. Ate Kim and Kuya Keith were amazing bartenders and cooks!

The bugs were difficult to keep out… we had several instances of bugs in our toothbrushes, towels and bed. The mattresses themselves were very uncomfortable. The size was correct, but the comfort was not there. It made sleeping very difficult. Ownership was overbearing. The staff seemed intimidated by their presence. They immediately shied away from customers as soon as management came over (which was often). This was a turn off for us because we enjoyed their company (this is a small resort) and they often were able to provide us with answers to questions that only locals could answer.

The property itself is well maintained and in a quiet locality. It's actually very pleasing to the eyes. The room was nice and spacious and the view was great. The staff was very friendly and provided a lot of help throughout our stay there. In fact, on a couple of occasions, they even helped us with transport issues as well as activating our SIM card.

The food in this establishment was extremely disappointing. Considering the somewhat remote location of this property, you would expect its food to be of a much better quality. However, that is not the case. Other than the breakfasts that were already included in our price, we didn't prefer eating over here. Secondly, it seems like a lot of effort has been put into the property itself, but not the little things that would make the stay more memorable for the customers. Basic things such as slippers, bathrobes, a hair dryer etc. were missing from the room, and were only given on request. The beach is not much of a beach frankly. The water was very shallow and it seemed somewhat unclean and rocky. Out of our 3 or 4 days there, we perhaps only went down there twice, and that too just for a few minutes. I also forgot my earbuds in the room (my mistake), but upon contacting them, we were told they weren't there. This was somewhat hard to believe considering they were placed on a table next to the TV. In any case, considering the amount of money spent here, you cold obtain a much better place with better facilities in the same price.

Absolutely stunning room with an insane view. Having a pool to yourself is really nice as well. The beach is pretty cool as well, not exactly a swimming beach but has a deserted island feel to it. The employees were more than attentive, they really made you feel like you’re special. Tay Tay was fun to explore too. There were hardly any tourists so it really had a special local feel to it.

The food was pretty terrible. Pretty much our main gripe. But they tried their best and even got us delivery from Tay Tay one night so I can’t complain too much. Breakfast was good though so that’s nice.

super friendly staff, that upgraded our reservation upon arrival, very private villas with own small swimming pools, large pool that is over 2m deep, which you don't find that often.

    8CheriePosted on: 10-1-2024

Beautiful resort just out of Taytay, friendly and accommodating staff.

    10MarizannePosted on: 8-21-2024

Peaceful and relaxing environment, delicious meals and fabulous cocktails made by Trunks. Our villa had a private pool, which was amazing. We went paddle boarding and experienced the sea life via snorkling. Everything was just perfect and we had an incredible time.

    Everything was perfect!

staff very receptive. First class amenities.Manager personally assisted us when we have to seek medical care for my son.

remote location. You will need to ride tricycle to see food stores. Location ideal if you want to avoid crowds and commune with nature

It was the dream to stay at the Dreamer Beach Resort, in a serene and soothing environment, as we were the only ones there. We had a beautiful view from our room onto the sea. Very nice and friendly staff. For the few small issues we had, they were quick to provide solutions. The free paddle ride (with fins!) was a very welcome addition.

We suggest reviewing the quality of the food in the restaurant, as we felt like it didn’t match the prices. We were also slightly upset about the air conditioning not working in the main room of the villa ; and the infinity swimming pool was a bit dirty. However, the experience was overall brilliant.

    9JohnPosted on: 4-30-2024

Very far off the beaten path...which is both a positive and negative. Very nice, well-maintained grounds and infinity pool. Above-average food in the restaurant. Nicely appointed rooms with sea views and terraces. Villas are well-spaced among the grounds, so there's ample privacy.

Beach area immediately adjacent to the resort is very shallow and silty, so isn't suitable for swimming even at high tide--to swim or snorkel in the sea you need to leave the grounds of the resort. Location would be inconvenient for those without their own transport. AC in my villa was adequate, but only just kept up with the heat by running 24 hours a day.

    9ValeriePosted on: 4-2-2024

The villa, the view, the entire staff, the dipping pool, and the regular pool were amazing.

It's a bit far from anything else. But all you have to do is ask and they'll arrange transportation for you to go explore Taytay. And they offer a ton of day trips to the islands, etc.

    10MartinPosted on: 3-2-2024

The dream resort was really private and well laid out with good security, a bit like walking through a dream as the resort is covered with tropical fauna with little pathways leading to individual villas. There was a large eating area which was covered with fans and the food was reasonably priced and excellent, the best food we had in the Philippines and the staff were all very friendly.

In the evening meals there were many mosquitos - which is not a fault of the resort. They offered bug spray when we mentioned it however.
