Holiday Suites Port Barton

I really liked the hotel's location — right on the beachfront and close to everything like restaurants and bars. The hotel scene was also beautiful in the morning, especially during breakfast with that amazing calm sea view.

I was informed two days before my check-in that the hotel pool was temporarily closed due to urgent repairs. I appreciated the advance notice and hoped the repairs would be completed by the time I arrived. Unfortunately, during my 2-night stay, the pool was still being slowly refilled and remained unusable the entire time.The pool with the view was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, so it was disappointing not to be able to enjoy it. No compensation or discount was offered, even though a key facility was unavailable.Aside from this, the rest of the stay was fine, but the lack of access to a major amenity definitely affected the overall value and experience.

Great location on a really lovely beach and about a 5 mins walk from the bus terminal along a mixture of sealed and rough tracks. A tuk tuk cost 50 pesos for the same journey if you don't want to walk with luggage.. Staff are friendly and efficient.and both food and drinks are ok there. The room was comfortable but the shower needed maintenance to make it work better. There are lots of other restaurants, bars and travel or boat hire booths around. The only really poor thing are the prevalence of jelly fish during some times of the year which of course is beyond the hotels control. Views from the bar and along the beach are lovely and if you get bored with them there are lots of other local beaches with even better views albeit with less amenities.Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would have liked to stay longer.

The shower in our room didn't work properly

This is a great hotel located right on the beach. The sunsets are lovely. The room was good, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The hotel has a nice pool to cool off in too. There are a number of beach side restaurants close by.

We were woken by noisy roosters each morning and needed ear plugs. That's not the hotels fault as there are roosters everywhere in the town.

The place is beach front.

Loud music and the room was not well soundproofed.

We stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable hotel directly on the beach. Free sunbeds on the beach and the option to rent a kayak for free are very comvenient.

When we checked-in there was a smell of mold coming from the bathroom. There was also some visible mold in the shower. After we told the staff, they were super friendly and offered us another room. Unfortunately, the other room had the same issue. Therefore we stayed in the first room. The rooms (and especially the bathrooms) need to be renovated soon, if high qualitd wants to be maintained.

Breakfast was good! The best breakfast we had compared to other hotels in palawan where we stayed at. Hotel and our room were clean and nice, the beds were comfortable. Staff was really friendful and always ready to help! I really liked the hotel and would absolutely stay there again!

The roosters nearby were quite loud throughout the night, but I managed with earplugs.:)

The location is good. Staff were nice.

We had issues with our room where it smelled like gasoline or something of that nature it was super strong almost to the point where it was burning our nose. We notified staff and they gave us a glade freshener. But refused to accept there was a strong smell, we spoke to guests next door and the door after that and they also said the smell was very strong in our room but not in theirs. They have a lot of workers on which is great however it seemed a bit professional that they all say on the stairs and around the reception areas. Which was intimidating to my wife. There balcony area is nice but we found it hard to sit out as it was covered in ants. I don’t like to give bad reviews, I don’t feel this is a harsh review to off put people. This place is for sure one of the nicer hotels / rooms to rent in the area for sure. There could just be a slight bit more professionalism and some constructive feedback to be listened to from guests.

The hotel is located on the beach. With a beautiful vieuw. Good breakfast Very friendly staff. Everyday we drink a couple of beers at the bar by Gary a friendly guy with everyday a big smile on his face and have a nice talk about everything.

Rooms were outdated, lots of dogs, breakfast very average, staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly. Value for money was not great!

Good location but then Port Barton is not exactly a big place so anywhere can be a good location

I booked this property because it had air conditioning in the room obviously this for me is essential for sleep so I paid premium hotel price for the area for this however what is not mentioned till you check in is that the power is turned off between 2pm to 4pm then again from 2am to 4pm hence at 3am the bedroom is like an oven. Also if you want to call off in the afternoon from heat you got no where to go. I would not expect on the price paid for such penny pinching. I would also say the breakfast really needs to be improved on. Other small points would be nice to have umbrellas for sun lounges and always a lack of beach towels as wellI think this place just needs a little bit of care and attention to detail for the price they charge

My wife lost an expensive piece of jewelry down the shower but the staff tried to call the manager but no reply from the manager so nothing was done So jewlery gone All the tiles in the room and in the outdoor area are very slippery and dangerous .We called reception and asked for extra towels and none were sent This is the most expensive property in this prime location and it is 100% no value for the amount paid I can go on about the included breakfast ? The dog poo on the beach not cleaned up and poor state of repair on this new resort Have I mentioned that the female restaurant/bar staff did not smile at any time Stay here at your own risk you have been warned

It is a place with a good location. It has a nice pool and private beach.

The breakfast was not good. Poor choice and almost no fruits. There was only watermelon and not enough for all guests. There is a privet house with roosters and they are really loud all the time. In the night there is the rooster sound and barking dogs.Another thing is the ants in the room.

Food prep was extremely delayed. Unsure if facility is lacking or just slow service.however, Ethel was very courteous, pleasant and helpful regardless of the shortcoming.

The rate quoted in booking.com was not honored upon check-in. We were charged a higher rate which prompted us to limit our stay to one night.

Holiday Suites is actually the best hotel for the area/town. Overall, it was decent but just average (for my expectations) as a hotel. However, for the town and compared to other options, it was the only choice I would make. I was pleased with the hotel overall and as the best choice in town, I have no complaints.

More space, more comfortable bedding. Better sound insulation (roosters are very loud at 4 AM lol). But it has an extremely good location and the food was pretty good. I like this hotel overall and would recommend it to anyone.

Location was excellent with beautiful views. Pool area was very good.

Noisy guests were allowed to continually be disruptive even after several complaints. Rooms were not cleaned daily even after several requests. Bath towels had holes and threadbare. Linen was ripped and soiled. Food was left which attracted flys and dogs eating off tables. Not enough beach towels. If you have mobility issues don't go as deck/dining area very slippery. Breakfast food was poor quality and food containers not regularly replenished. Doors in room kept sticking and balcony area tiny. No water views. Vastly overpriced considering service and facilities.
