    Pros +

    • Great breakfast. First time we've used self preparation of breakfast.Very good location.
    • Great location for Seoroksan national park. Great breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, we will definitely be back.
    • Rooms are HUGE! Clean, comfortable, and secure. Hot water is not super hot, but the water pressure is good. Facilities also offer free washer and dryer (huge plus for after a day of hiking). Free DIY breakfast with bread, ham, cheese, eggs, and cereal. The staff don't speak English but do their best to communicate through translation apps. There is also a self check-in option for after hours. The building/street looks kind of abandoned on the outside, but don't worry, it's just a sleepy town. This place is perfect if you want an early start or late end to the national park as it's only a short 11-minute bus ride to the entrance.

    Cons -

    • Best times of the hotel are over. The same applies to neighborhood. But the room is clean and OK.
    • No complaints about the hotel, just a note to fellow Travelers about the location. This is a very small and sleepy town. It's good if you want fast entry into the park, but be warned that there is nothing to do here other than hike, and there are about 5 food options. If you want something more lively with options after your hike, stay in Sokcho, which is at least 25-30 min bus from the park entrance.
    • Very long wait to hot water,Not comfy beds, hard matrrassGhost town with ruined buildings but few restaurants open

Nice location, decent room. Free breakfast was appreciated.

Staff were hardly present during our stay.

    10JungPosted on: 11-25-2024

It seemed unassuming because of the location but the room was so clean and organized. The breakfast had great options and the staff was SO nice. It was right around the corner from the national park without having to deal with all the tourist crowds. The bed was comfortable. The space was huge and the bathroom was clean!!

    - close to the National Park- spacious room- cheap

    - room didn’t feel clean, lots of hairs everywhere - run down, creepy building in a deserted hotel town- we only saw a receptionist once, when we checked-in, and he barely spoke any English

    The food included and location.

    Dead bugs on the wall

    4BerkaPosted on: 10-9-2024

    laundry service room was big

The property is located in a ghost town. The room reeked of cigarettes. After two nights there, the stench was saturated in my clothes. Not so close to the nature park. Better option is to book the hotel in Sokcho, and reach Seorak by bus or taxi or rent a car.

    10IngePosted on: 10-8-2024

The location was convenient, close to the bus and only 15 minutes by public transportation from the entrance of Seoraksan National Park. The buses run regularly there. The room is exactly as described. Everything is provided, and it is very, very clean. The staff is super helpful. Very good value for money.

Nice bonus was a self - served breakfast. The variety is limited, but good enough to start your day. Coffee machine 24/7 was very nice bonus as well.

Some of signs weren't translated to English, so we had to figure it out ourselves. For example, how to separate trash, etc.

    8nakaaaPosted on: 8-30-2024

Room was updated and very clean and comfortable. A/C worked great (we were there in August and it was hot). Very close to Seoraksan national park; you can walk the 2 miles to the entrance if you don't care to wait for the bus. It's also easy to catch the bus as it picks up just a block or two away from the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.

Note that the English name on the sign doesn't exactly match the name on the Booking.com page, but the street number matches. The common areas of the hotel are not as up to date as the rooms, which was fine for us but may not be the vibe you expect from the photos. The town around the hotel is quite run down with many abandoned buildings and there are not a lot of nearby shops and restaurants. However, we took the very fancy pedestrian walkway to the local GS25 convenience store which was great and had everything we needed.

    6IvanPosted on: 7-28-2024

Being close to the national park and minutes walking from some good local restaurants.

Room did not have a chair. It did not have a bed as I bookes for but a fouton. That was fine with me but wasn't what I expected. I could not find the breakfast room and by the time I left in the morning there was noone to ask.

    10YuPosted on: 7-23-2024

Room was absolutely lovely. Staff was polite and friendly. Free coffee and instant noodles for guests. Wish i could stay longer! Location was super convenient for the bus to seoraksan.

It was tough for elderly person with bad knees to go up the stairs.

    7PatrickPosted on: 7-7-2024

The Room's are big, but a little bit old. Unfortunately the whole area looks a bit run down. I don't know why, becaus the location is just perfect for hiking in the Seorak Nationalpark. There are a few Shops and Restaurants, so you can get everything you need.

The Breakfast was included but not really worth it.The "Gym" is located directly in the Lobby.

    9KirillPosted on: 5-15-2024

Very friendly owner. You have to use the translator but nevermind. A HUGE room. It's about 3 stops from the NP.

Communication before arrival was a bit difficult. They could not tell me the name of the bus stop. It's called something like "Shopping district". (A couple of kiosks and restaurants, I didn't need more).

    10DanielPosted on: 5-13-2024

The room was large and comfortable. The location is great. The room I stayed in had heated floors and bed! Breakfast was also good. There are some nice touches like a water cooler on my level and ample towels in the room.

I think some warmer, soft lighting like a lamp in the room would be good. The hot water takes quite some time to heat up but will get there eventually.

    9VincentPosted on: 5-12-2024

Spotless rooms for a very good price. Free shampoo, noodles, breakfast and coffee. The area is a bit run down with lots of empty hotels, no clue why, but that doesn’t make it feel unsafe. The owners great and does his best to make you feel comfortable. There’s a direct bus going to the park. We chose to walk back from the park which took 40min. You can also stay in Sokcho, but we liked the calm vibe outside of the chaotic city and close to the park.

The village doesn’t have many food options, but there are some and alternatively the owner offers free noodles.

    6MatthiasPosted on: 5-11-2024

Rooms are spacious and clean, but there are no chairs. Free ramen and local softdrinks are provided, nice breakfast.

Seorak is a ghost-town, consisting of mainly derelict buildings. You have to take a taxi or bus to the park, so you might as well stay in Sokcho, especially if you want to eat something else than fried chicken after 8.00 pm. Also, there are no hot springs nearby.

    9ManuelPosted on: 5-8-2024

Spotlessly clean, quiet, ondol heating, wide rooms, good location for the National Park.
