Alt Hotel Halifax Airport - In Terminal

Location to terminal. Reason for staying there

Rooms were small but to be expected. Would be nice if they had a little convenience store rather something at the bar.

The location was amazing after getting off a late flight.

Location is great, short inside walk to the airport terminal.

Long term parking at a more reasonable rate would be nice.We ate supper at the restaurant, unfortunately the meal wasn’t great, but the server was excellent. She did what she could to make the situation better and removed the meal from our bill.

Location was ideal. Liked the coffee maker.

Rooms are sort of cold and weird. Shower wasn’t clean, carpets were musty, there was unrepaired damage to the room, shower leaked.

So convenient! Loved not having to go outside to catch my flight. The room was so quiet and the blackout curtains were very effective; it made for a great night’s sleep.

The restaurant is a little pricey, particularly if you’re gluten free. Couldn’t really justify the extra $7 for a GF pizza crust.

So close to the airport, a delicious restaurant on site and to top it all off the room was stunning ! Made us feel like we had started our vacation before we even left the province

Efficiently designed room. The bed was comfortable and good for nights stay.

The pillows in my opinion were terrible. I like a firm pillow and the pillows in the room had absolutely no head support whatsoever. I folded the pillow and it was okay then. They at least could have a firm pillow and soft pillow which they could easily do because we had four pillows.

Proximity to the airport for an early flight out. You don't even have to go outside to get to the terminal. No need to take a shuttle bus.

Location to airport was great.

Water would not drain properly in shower. had several inches of water in tub by the time finished showering. Bathroom did not appear to be cleaned well.

We booked this hotel because it was closely attached to the airport since our flight was scheduled early in the morning. It was just a few minutes walk from the room to the airport, by a nice, clean skywalk. We liked the stylish lobby, the kind people at the front desk, and the clean, spacious room. Unexpectedly, an airline strike canceled our flight, so we had to rebook this hotel and spend a few extra days. It was a stressful and uncertain time, but we managed to get through it thanks in large part to the hotel's relaxing atmosphere and great location. We spent our days going back and forth to the airport for updates and sometimes took the bus downtown for meals. There are a few other hotels near the Halifax airport, and on the night the Alt Hotel was full, we stayed at one of them. But we had to take a shuttle bus to get there, and none of them can beat the Alt Hotel's excellent location. Everything here was clean and equipped, and we were very happy with our stay. The only small thing was that it was a bit difficult to figure out how to use the shower at first, but we figured it out after trying a few things.

Really quite impressed, both with the property, and the staff. We chose the Alt as it is attached to the airport, literally. No shuttle needed, just a quick walk across a sky bridge. This cut down any early morning departure worries to zero. Additionally, the buildings concrete construction soaked up any airport, or guest noise, so we got an amazing sleep. And the facilities and rooms were handsomely appointed, and comfortable.

Was here briefly after a flight from Toronto was diverted. Rooms were clean and quiet, staff were speedy, and the communication from the hotel after I booked last minute and arrived very late were great. The location, attached to the airport, is great for those in similar situations.

It's a little expensive, but no complaints about amenities etc.

The offerings at the restaurant are weak. Mostly pizza or things that can be made in a pizza oven. This should be upgraded to a full service restaurant.
