The size of my villa is more than enough, I even have a private pool, food is delicious and fresh, service is amazing, the staff always carry a smile

I love the outdoor tram elevator because we got the spectacular view of the sea from the high hill. The villa was just perfect for us. We felt like honeymooners again. The highlight was of course when Kalandara surprised me with a birthday cake and the staff sang the birthday song for me at their restaurant without any prompt from my husband. We would like to give a special shoutout to the restaurant's waitress named Wulan who took great care of our daily needs and wants during breakfast time. We were also offered a daily complimentary takeout for our daily trip. We are seasoned travellers and Kalandara was the only place that gave us such royal treatment of packed food and fruits for our daily trips in Lombok. Thank you very much for the most pleasant, relaxing and memorable stay at Kalandara. We shall return soon.

The property is perfectly located to see an amazing panoramic view. It’s very clean well organize and super comfortable and convenient for guest. It’s really well maintained with gorgeous mature plants throughout the property.

The only complaint was it wasn’t beachfront, but they take you directly to the beach and pick you up so it’s not really a complaint at all. In the end it’s worth the view.

Everything! Amazing villa overlooking the ocean. Stunning views and it lived up to all our expectations. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice. We were sad to leave (celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary) after our 3 night stay. Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat ?!! Loved Lombok and beats the crowds of Bali!!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Amazing views of the ocean and walking distance to the beach nearby. We loved the room combination of outdoor living and privacy. The staff is also very friendly. It was a very relaxing stay, highly recommend.

We had high expectations for Kalandara Resort, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to them. While the villas are stunning and the ocean views—especially from the higher units—are breathtaking (we weren’t so lucky as the hotel opposite blocked part of our view) the overall experience was far from 5-star.

Our stay started poorly with an unclean bathroom, including a dirty light switch. Though housekeeping addressed it quickly, there was no compensation. Service and communication were major letdowns. From being locked out of the room to fogging that starter early to, a private event at the restaurant rendered it unusable due to loud music, yet no one informed us or offered alternatives. Staff were generally dismissive and unhelpful.Even basic requests, like ordering a bottle of wine, became unnecessarily complicated. On the bright side, the spa treatments were excellent—though the manicure chairs could use an upgrade for better comfort.Compared to the neighboring hotel—with its welcoming staff and outstanding food at The Kliff—Kalandara falls short in hospitality. No one even asked how our stay was at checkout. Beautiful setting, but poor management and lack of guest care make this resort one we wouldn’t recommend.

The whole set up of the room with the pool was incredible. Lots of thoughtful touches with a speaker, snacks and mini fridge etc. We appreciated the smooth check in process. The views from the pools were absolutely stunning and the room was very private.

It didn’t seem like good value for money and we were particularly disappointed with the service and food when dining at the restaurant especially for the price. This included being told earlier that the full menu was still available on Christmas Day, as well as the overpriced BBQ buffet that they were offering, which disappointingly wasn’t the case and we would’ve organised to go elsewhere. Also the laundry service was extortionate compared to other places we have stayed, although we appreciate them double checking before processing. Despite the lovely room we would not return again.

The room assigned to us was magnificent, everything that we expected. It was huge and comfortable. Every staff we encountered was super friendly, helpful and respectable. Thoroughly loved the vibes the resort gave and the breathtaking views from our room.

As we were near nature, there are always crawlies around but we were unfazed after a few days. Although having monkeys and HUGE lizards occasionally turned up did scare us a bit although nothing major. 1 downside was the entire resort only had 1 buggy and 1 open air lift, which went through a couple of maintenance work during our stay. A bit of an inconvenience as our room was at the most top and having to walk uphill was a bit of a workout.

Unfortunately dinner wasn’t as tasty as breakfast, so they could definitely improve, a part from that, this place is a paradise!

Kalandara is absolutely stunning. The view is out of this world. The private villas make you feel you are in another dimension. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lombok.

The lift was a bit slow, since it’s the only one. During the rainy season it’s also sometimes out of order. The resort however compensates for this by providing a buggy service to your villa.

They made me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay, which added a personal touch to the experience.Room & Facilities: The room was immaculate, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Food: The dining experience was fantastic! The breakfast options were not only delicious but also presented beautifully.

The food prices displayed on the TV were not up-to-date, which led to some confusion. Additionally, there was no indication on the TV menu whether certain dishes contained non-halal ingredients, such as alcohol. It would be helpful if the hotel ensures the menu is updated regularly and clearly labels non-halal items to accommodate the needs of guests with specific dietary requirements

Good scenery but poor customer service and staff dishonesty spoiled my view of this hotel

Dishonest, poor and inconsistent customer service. Our spa reservation was cancelled at the last minute one hour before the slot which was very unprofessional as apparently the spa was “fully booked”. This is very unexpecting from a 5 star resort. They then shamelessly offered to get an external masseuse as a replacement. Why would I be paying extra for the hotel spa service for a replacement outside the hotel? Might as well go outside for spa treatment.The staff was not professional and gave us a short change of IDR5000 upon check out. This shows absolutely no professionalism.The room was also hot with the air conditioning spoilt.The only lift was inconvenient, very slow and was spoilt during one of the days. It is also outdoor so will get wet when it rains.

Loved the aspect. Built on the hill it provides amazing sunsets and views overlooking the beaches. Villas with infinity pools offer a wonderfully relaxing perspective anytime of the day. Decor is tastefully done and I liked the semi outdoor bathroom. Great aircon ! Wonderful breakfasts with incredible staff. Excellent coffee!

I thought I booked the two story villa as shown on the advertised picture. I found that misleading. For the price I paid I think the two story villa was more appropriate .

The property is spectacular. From the moment you enter, to getting into the funicular and seeing your villa for the first time, Kalandara is built to impress and it delivers. The view alone is worth the price of your stay.The villa was incredibly comfortable, with a beautiful, private infinity pool and outside shower. We also caught a sunset on our first night there, and saw stars at night.The staff is very kind and helpful.

Unfortunately, a great part of the hotel is also a major inconvenience. Be warned that the funicular is switched off when there’s heavy rain. We didn’t know that and had planned a day out but found ourselves caught in the rain with a lift that wasn’t working. I called the staff and they immediately sent a buggy to rescue us. The staff was incredibly kind, she closed her own umbrella and got wet trying to help us get into the buggy.The buggy then proceeded to go down the very steep hill. So hang on. I can only imagine that in high season, the wait for the funicular can be long. The only other way up and down the hotel are the stairs.

The environment suitable for those who like privacy and quiet. The view is very nice. I love the room condition & facilities.

The food is not good enough for me. The price of food is not affordable compare to the taste.

Everything. The location's top notch with mind blowing views. You have your own private pool and seating area to chill over a couple of beers for as long as you like. The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the collection of local Lombok desserts. Our dinner was pretty good too at Amatera, I fell in love with the Sambal Matah dressing on the side. The staff were eager to help, room service was quick and the little things like welcoming us with a fruit basket and flowers on our bed by housekeeping really gave us a lot of joy. 100% recommend this stay!
