Riu Vallarta - All Inclusive

Rooms were clean, staff wonderful … easy check in … very pretty property , lovely beach … lots of activities if you chose to participate .. staff were engaging and great and getting people up

Food was very disappointing .. too much greasy fried food .. not much variety ,,, dissappointing specialty restaurant .. food was much like the buffet … just served … no reservations meant lining up to get in …long line ups … just like the buffets . Didn’t adhere to dress codes … too remote a location … getting chairs by the pool a nightmare … people were getting up at 5 am to reserve chairs … also sound system for shows was absolutely horrible ,,, i felt for the performers … struggled with sound and mikes etc really affected their performances …. MC’s need to know how to speak into. Mike ..yelling too close to ther mouth .. never cloud make out what they were saying …

Breakfast choices were great. I especially liked the fruit. The coffee could use some work. I found it changed from day to day. Some days strong, some days weak.

Something needs to be done about the slippery tiles in the pool area. My husband slipped and fell coming out of the pool and I myself slipped several times. The elevators were a bit out of the way. We also didnot like the idea of standing in line for the A La Carte Restaurants. Making a reservation would be so much simpler.

This is an excellent facility. There’s activities for all, games, entertainment, three pools something for everyone. Staff are super friendly and easy to interact with. Restaurants are all excellent (but I do recommend lining up 60-90 minutes early as there aren’t any reservations).

The hotel advertises “Free Shuttle” but when I emailed to arrange a pick up was told there wasn’t a shuttle. I heard someone talking about the shuttle so I asked at the front door - he said there wasn’t no shuttle but could get a cab (at my expense). I asked at the front desk and they wanted to know the room number to answer my shuttle question ?‍♂️

Nice location and pretty well maintained. Neon party was great! Room service was also good.

Sewage smell every time you pass the towel distribution/bathroom area on the way to the beach. Smoking areas not always enforced so smokers would be near the shows at night and smoke would drift into the theater area. Drinks limited to lower quality liquor. Liquor in the room bar was so bad it was untouched. Courtesy hygiene supplies were limited to shampoo/body wash combo and hand soap. Even a small holiday in provides lotion and some other products. Seems all inclusive means everything low quality is included. Our shower drain would clog often. Worst part was the $500 property credit we got from booking was not used because they said it was up to $500 credit by using hotel services and the total discounts would amount to $500. I felt misled because that was one of the reasons I booked through booking.

Plenty of pool space, good restaurants, and beautiful view.

The beds were hard and the bathroom towels needed updated.

Very clean, lots of areas with activities geared to different groups - families, sports, quiet pool, etc. Rooms were comfortable, entertainment was overall very good with shows geared for kids and adults. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful, happy!

Food was good, but not consistent- sometimes the same items were great one day and not so great another. Coffee was generally disappointing. Also found that the food options available 24 hours (when buffet and restaurants were closed) was underwhelming. There was a problem with the room lock not working and it took a number of phone calls and a bit long to have this resolved.

The customer service was lacking . Especially at check in.

They did not respect the conditions of the promotion: 2 adults 2 children.They wanted 8,000 additional for one more child.

Beautiful property with excellent layout and landscaping. Convenient for everything.The ocean and beach were our favourite!Clean inside. Some beautiful pictures and fixtures. Our room was exceptional, so comfortable, great view, quiet (with one exception).Very good food at the restaurants. The Steak House was amazing, as was the Sushi.

The property is very noisy all afternoon with activities, which is not a negative but should be expected.The air conditioning in the room is very loud at night. And it was needed as it was too humid outside to leave the doors to the balcony open. Made for disrupted sleep.

Service, food, room, bed, facilities all excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment good. Lots of places to get snacks and enough bars which also served lattes etc.

A/C ok but not great. October was extremely humid and the pool water in each pool was very warm. Four pools is misleading - one is just a small area with a bar, one is a sports pool with games all the time, one is a kids pool which is very small. Family pool was good size but crowded and not refreshing as water was so warm. Nothing around the area. 20 minutes by cab to Bucerias. There are no local buses or stores.

The quality and variety of food at the buffet is outstanding for the price. The pools and facilities in general are always very clean. Drinks are top brands, high quality and service is really attentive.

There was no pool party or club (Pacha) available while we were there because of the Riu Jalisco hotel being under construction, so activities were more limited than we have experienced in other Riu hotels.

The service received at check-in was horrible. The entire resort is open and extremely hot. Bland food. We had brown water in the shower and sink, and the toilet stopped working a few times.

The room was too small, had no view, and felt like a basement.The food had repetitive buffet options, and it was hard to get into specialty restaurants. Many members of the family had stomach issues.Evening entertainment was meh.The White Party was held at the other partner location.

Service overall was good, hotel was decent.

Pools were dirty, common aéreas were dirty not kept up, food was low quality and just average, almost dull.

For an all inclusive resort, it was mid. Drinks were great, but limited food choices. Staff was very nice and it was always easy to get transportation to places.
