Pros +
- great location, good value for money.
- The view, basically beautiful place, the breakfast is recommended, really nice The room no frills but simplistic and felt like a step back in history - everything we needed for a most memorable stay staff was excellent- check in late went seamlessly per instructions- we will definitely come back for a longer stay
- Clean and well kept up. Ideal location and very reasonable price
Cons -
- Our room was very small but apparently there are bigger rooms available, otherwise very good (bath towels are very small). Public parking not good, somebody drove into my car and left without leaving a note
- The welcome was rude and insulting = it was not a welcome. There was a misunderstanding about my special arrival time. I arrived at 2 pm (as I thought we agreed); she thought I meant 2 AM. Her assistant allowed me to take my room. Second, I though I’d have a lake view; I faced a clump of trees (so the ideal location was wasted on me). Third I was told I could not dine at the hotel in the evening. I saw previous few people dining in the restaurant. The nearby restaurant was serviceable at best… my 20 minute walk into town netted no real good options.
- Staff not very helpful. In house restaurant was unappealing.

Charming, great location, fair pricing! Great restaurant next door.
Staff not very helpful. In house restaurant was unappealing.
The location close to the lake
No fridge in the room. Breakfast was bad not worth the price. And We were supposed to get the room with the lake view but all we saw were just trees.
Location is spectacular, and the only reason to visit. On the water, gorgeous views from outside, but no view from our room.
Old and institutional, like an old dorm. Staff indifferent and dismissive. Breakfast abundant but mediocre. Our room with bunk bed was tiny and equipped barely above a hostel. Bar not open. No lighting in lobby to sit at night.
Absolutely lovely location right on Lake Annecy.
We had a view of the park which was pretty noisy until late due to it was a holiday (which we didn't realize) and there was a hugh animation film festival taking place so the park was packed with people.
Breakfast was good. Location was excellent.
The lack of a car park was not mentioned until booking had been confirmed. This was a worry but in practice car parking was available very close. Also there was confusion in the booking confirmation about restricted check-in times. A request for early check in was denied. Another worry. But again in practice there was no problem. Reception was open all day and staff were very helpful.
What a beautiful place! I booked this hotel as a cheap pitstop on my way to the mountains. The attraction was the price but we will definitely return for the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the ease of parking and the lovely welcome from the staff. This place is right on the the lake, close to a fantastic restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
Exceptional locationLovely art déco atmosphère No restaurant for lunch or dinner
Lovely location overlooking the lake with access to the lake walk; friendly staff; clean rooms; free parking a few minutes walk away and a choice of places to eat nearby. As in many French hotels, there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
The location is superb beside the lake
Once we arrived at the hotel at 5.45pm after an hour drive and we (family of 3) where so thirsty, I went to the bar which was still serving other customers to buy some bottles of water. The lady behind the bar told me that the bar was closed (although that she was still serving other customers) . I understand that that they must have a closing time , but she could have used a more common sense. On a positive note , after an hour my wife complained with the receptionist and she made her a coffee and free of charge
Room clean, bathroom ok. Beautiful place, staff spoke English.
Terrible sewer smell in the bathroom.
Location
Cold environment breakfast room. No water bottle in the room.
Location lakeside. Great views
Lousy Wi-Fi
Perfect setting
Breckfast Not enough choice and not very welcoming. Definitely not worth 16 euros each
Clean and quiet room. Bed comfortable. Girl with black hair and tattoos serving drinks had special je me sais quoi, largely because unlike anyone else she was smiley and friendly
Reception area is simply unpleasant. Staff rudely told me to sit elsewhere outside to have a drink when where I’d sat myself was empty and fag smoke free. Breakfast was very poor. Dreadful noise from kids running around the only area where you can relax until 11pm.
Such a brilliant location, great breakfast, lovely staff and a great bar
Not a lot really some people might find it not too posh and a bit rough around the edges but that’s perfect for us
Breakfast is good. The room was clean. The lake and the beach are close by.
There was no room cleaning for all three days of our stay. There was no change of towels for all time of our stay. There was no foot towel and hairdryer in one of our rooms (we booked two rooms).
Superb location on lac d'annecy.
Kitchenette poorly equiped: no breakfast bowls, 1 pot and 1 pan only. Pan was unusable due to extremely curved bottom surface. No cutting knives, etc. Some IKEA love would do miracles here! Place was also not cleaned well, and the place didn't come with any basic cleaning tools. But the worst was that the towels just stank. Getting freshly smelling ones was not easy. This was a real turn off.Honestly, a bit more eye for detail and this place would jump up in rating.
