The suite was very clean and comfortable. We did appreciate having water, soda, tea and coffee in our suite, along with a Keurig. It was also very quiet and peaceful.
It would have been nice to have complimentary breakfast. It is also not accessible for those with limited mobility and other disabilities. I had to carefully guide my elderly mother up and down the stone steps along the pathway to get to our room. It was a bit stressful as a fall would have been devastating.
Very rude guy at front desk.
Our room even though very nice, was way in the back with a mulch pile and all the maintenance facilities buildings and a big pile of dirt. The piece of so-called lawn in front of the room was just dark dirt with zero landscaping. Very disappointing outside compared to other cottages.
Location
Room was dark. No refreshing of coffee in room. No decaf coffee. No breakfast offered.
I like the location of the Inn and the atmosphere in the Spa.
I stayed here 2 years ago and had a far better experience than this time. The place seems to be much more run down and with far fewer guests than last time around. Our cottage (which was quite expensive for one night) was cute, but the furniture was aging, the decor was dated, one of the windows wouldn't close, and I saw a large bug in my bedroom. The Spa personnel were definitely not up to par with a spa experience that charges the same prices I pay in Washington DC and it generally seemed under-staffed.
It had very nice old world charm. Our suite had a nice sitting area and great little gas fireplace that helped make it cozy warm as was really cold that night! We enjoyed the separate livingroom. The upstairs bedroom (and bed) was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and quite large. The room had a few complimentary beverages which were appreciated!
Just FYI… We actually liked this so it was fine for us, but you may want to know that many of the rooms and suites are a separate from the main building desk and spa. It was snowy and we had the proper shoes/boots. The walk is short though… no biggy!

Location. History.
Did not like the suite as much as our first stay Tried to change suites but computers were down. Staff that helped us check in was mediocre
Super friendly staff. Amazing, quaint property. Room was clean and cool - totally different than a normal hotel.
Gym kinda sucks. One ancient cardio machine. I suppose most folks don’t stay here for a workout but I was there two nights for business and a decent cardio would have been a nice touch.
•The room was spacious.•There were a few complimentary sodas/water bottles in the mini fridge.•The HVAC was responsive.
*The visit started with hearing the front desk staff talk about how incompetent the cleaning crew is in front of us while we waited for our room to be ready, which felt very unprofessional.*We paid for a Queen bed, and were given an XL twin, so my feet hung over the end.*The mattress was very, very uncomfortable and it was hard to get any sleep.*The water in the taps/shower was terrifyingly hot and my wife was scalded badly within seconds when she tried to wash her hands.*The television was tiny, had terrible reception and picture, and was awkwardly placed across the large, empty room with an ancient cable box delicately balanced on top. (The wide, unused space of the room makes the tiny bed all the more confusing and disappointing.)*There were no modern amenities beyond the WiFi, like places to charge your phones or streaming access on the TV.*It’s a small thing, but taken with the general air of indifference it speaks to the experience - the advertised daily newspapers “outside your door” were never delivered.*We were given a room on the third floor in a building on the other side of the street from the parking lot, which was an obvious inconvenience for my visibly pregnant wife. (No warning or accommodations were discussed when we checked in and she was on display.)*In general, the whole vibe of this property feels hokey and cheap. For example, the walkways are littered with placards sporting cliche “jokes” that you would find on a tee shirt at a truck stop, like: “Bills come through the mail three times faster than paychecks”. The “upscale” restaurant is called “Krazy Kats”, and has leopard print chairs. It feels like the target clientele is 70 years old, but seniors wouldn’t be able to handle all the steps or rock hard beds. I’m honestly confused how they stay in business.
Beautiful facilities friendly staff Ann was very accommodating and helpful.
Amenities in fridge. Quaint atmosphere.
Furniture is beat up, stained, and blankets were not fluffy. Cracked porcelain sink and pretty much everything needs updated. The grounds are not well cared for by the rooms furthest away from the main entrance .... weeds were so overgrown that you couldn't enjoy the landscaping. I know that it was October but it was unsightly. Room smelled of bleach, which is good in a way but it deteacted from the ambiance. Bed was wobbly. The room was poorly lit as well.
Very large and comfortable 2 bedroom suite. Good location.
The front desk staff member.
The rooms were beautiful and so comfortable. All amenities, even to the heated towel rack were perfect for our stay. It was close to everything, shops, restaurants, and attractions. The desk attendant was of great help with everything requested.
The only way this stay could have been better was if it was free. Everything was better than expected.
The rooms are very quaint and the bathroom is very clean and nice. A huge shower and separate tub.
Large unique rooms, historic buildings, great vibe, excellent food and service all around. Definitely returning and inviting friends to join us.
location
the landscaping need to be trimmed, weeds all over the place a real mess. Not the look you would except to see at a historic hotel. Room keys that work
Historical site. Decor. Comfort.
