Pros +
- The hotel staff was excellent, always helpful and extremely friendly. The views were full ocean view, beautiful. The restaurant fine dining and nice presentation.
- clean but need remodeling
- The views on the balcony in front of our were spectacular. The staff was courteous & friendly. The Breakfast was Out of this World! Room was spacious & clean. Loved the beach & use of the kayak. And loved the little bar/restaurant on the Beach
Cons -
- Transportation to and from hotel difficult, but that's the nature of the region. Hotel restaurant food was good. Hours of dining were limited with very little other options available within walking distance.
- too far from other towns not a tourist area
- I I found that the selections offer offered in the restaurants. We’re limited and to be honest a bit pricey. However, we enjoyed going into town to experience a real local cuisine.

It was a beautiful location and the hotel was beautifully decorated inside and easy access to the beach, which was really important to us both

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the private beach was amazing.
It is a half km walk to the nearest store. Not too far but the roads are busy and narrow.
The property is wonderful. The staff is amazing and so helpful. After a day of adventuring along the Amalfi coast Hotel Cetus was a peaceful oasis. Having a private beach was fantastic - always a chair and umbrella available (water shoes are helpful). The restaurant is excellent. It is a 10 min walk to Cetara for dining or to catch a ferry. Highly recommend Hotel Cetus.
I wish the a/c was a little more powerful.
Hotel Cetus felt like I stayed at a luxury resort. Not only was the staff extremely friendly and accomodating, the room was clean and spacious, and the beach was spectacular. I would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful location, convenient for Cetara. Well maintained facility and with very attentive and friendly staff.
Not all facilities were open at this stage of the season.
The view from the balcony was lovely.
We booked a quadruple room that stated the room had two double beds. I spent a long time trying to find a hotel with this specific requirement. What we actually got was a double bed and a sofa bed. With the amount of money spent on the stay, I'd expect a better bed.The maintenance team made too much noise (banging around in the room below) in the morning. I was awake already, but it was extremely loud and annoying as it went on for a long time. This kind of work should be done when there are no guests. The breakfast was not as described and was very average.
Proximity in Km is deceiving. My first time on the coast… it would have been nice to know all modes of transport to go 5km or 20km are in the hundreds. For example to get to hotel by taxi from Salerno is over $100. To get to amalfi is around $250 each way. To get to Positano and back close to $600 RT. The nearest village is a short walk to Cetara. Cute town that can be explored in 1-2hrs. After that we spent well over $1000 to travel to more desirable locations over 2 days. The beach was closed. I guess accessible is a loose term. You could get to it but it was full of concrete chunks and day 2 and 3 had a tractor working on it. It was the reason we booked here but was not useable. Would have been nice to know I would have never booked it. Also there’s construction going on so if you have a suite fully expect to be woken up by rotohammers and drills by the masons below you. Huge disappointment that none of this was mentioned by Booking.com or the hotel website or staff.
Amazing location with. reat views of the sea. The bed was very comfortabel and the room was big enough and has everything you need.
We found some hairs on the towels. Easy to remove, but not the way it should be.
Loved the incredible location and breathtaking view. The staff was very helpful. We were surprised that our room didn't have facilities for making tea/coffee (apparently only the more expensive rooms have which in a 4 star hotel is disappointing) but when we asked we were given a kettle and tea cups and tea bags. The description said shower, in reality there was an unusually high bathtub which if we'd known about it we would not have taken the room. When we brought it up they arranged a step stool which solved the problem. We definitely recommend the hotel.
I believe it’s the best value for money if you seek for Amalfi hotel with own beach. the rest are saw were 1st line and alike. The beach (and access to it) was very private and really amazing and good service (boys were very good and nice)
hotel is rather old, kept in the best possible condition but you still feel it like a facility from 90s
View, location and breakfast
Balcony could have been a little bit larger
Clean, nice facilities, INCREDIBLE views, private beach, and amazing food at the restaurant
Bed was a bit too firm and A/C was not very strong (so room may get very hot during summer months)
The reason we chose this hotel for the last two days of our vacation was because it has a beach. The view from the room was great.
Hotel was not close to any larger cities of Amalfi coast and therefore we were limited in terms of food, site seeing and other entertainment. When we checked in they gave us the smallest room they had on level 0. After check in, I looked at the pictures of the rooms on our booking.com reservation and all of them were larger with larger balconies. After complaining to the attendant, he moved us to a larger room on floor 1. The bed was very stiff and uncomfortable.
Good breakfast, good size room, great view. All but 1 staff member was friendly.
Had to walk along a narrow busy road to get to town, but got used to it. It was well lit at night.
Location, views from terrace
Staffing not as friendly or helpful as other stays in Italy
Wonderful views from all the rooms which have balconies.Nice small beach accessed by lift from the main hotel.Good food and friedly staff.Proximity to Pompeii
Parking outside the hotel very limited.Cetara quite a distance to walk but taxis to and from Cetara relatively easy.
The private beach with elevator
Difficult to walk into the town
