Perfect location with all the amenities you need to enjoy a short or long stay. The property manager, Martin, was exceptional — he was dedicated and kind, with a great sense of humour. The two dogs were also a wonderful addition! The rooms were kept extremely clean and tidy. The breakfast was convenient and relaxing.

There was so much I loved. The location was perfect, being near the town centre, but just far and private enough to be quiet. The grounds are absolutely stunning; it was a pleasure to just spend time at the pool or on the patio, taking in the beautiful courtyard, day or night. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and take so much care in what they do. The water filtration system at the kitchen and bathroom sinks meant that we never had to think about water, we just filled up our glasses or bottles. Having stayed other places in Mexico on our trip, this felt like an understated luxury. Everything was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette was well-appointed with everything you’d need and the room had thoughtful closet space that made our lives easier not having to live out of our bags. Everything here felt like it was chosen with thought and intention. We always remarked upon returning from our day’s adventure how happy we were that we chose this place as it just felt like coming home to a beautiful retreat with everything we needed!

Only source of fresh air is your door. Otherwise there is no window that opens. The 2 bedroom suite has patio doors

Let me start by saying Martin Gonzales the concierge is the absolute best of the best! He keeps the grounds immaculate, and makes sure all your wants and needs are taken care of. The hotel Casa De La Ballena is a short walk to the center of Sayulita, and offers peace and tranquility. The rooms are very clean, and have everything you will need. i forgot to mention the breakfast was delicious, cappuccino, OJ, Mexican scrambled eggs, or hotcakes all made from scratch. I cant recommend this place enough. thank you Martin...We love you!!!

The place was amazing. The staff were all awesome we loved the pool, the room, and the breakfast. The place also had a really nice gym.

Martin & the staff were awesome! They worked hard to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The enclosed courtyard with the outdoor pool & hot tub were well maintained & very clean. It was so relaxing to hang out there. We will definitely be back.

Martin was very attentive from check in to check out. Very nice breakfast included. Wonderful quiet and comfortable room. We also loved the pool and enclosed rooftop gym. Very romantic place.

Casa de la Bellena was wonderful! The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. It was nice to have a little kitchenette in the room. The grounds were lovely and well kept. The location is perfect being right in town, but the hotel grounds itself is fully enclosed, so you feel like you are in your own little paradise. It was such a nice surprise to a breakfast menu to choose from and the food and coffee was delicious. Martin and his staff were so welcoming and helpful with our questions. We will be staying there again!

This place was great! I’ve stayed at a bunch of places in Sayulita and absolutely loved Casa ballena. The staff (Martin and his team) were fantastic. Highly recommend

The peaceful setting with a beautiful garden and pool, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff is exceptional. Breakfast has many options and the chill at the pool music is relaxing.

Nothing, it was really magical. The pups, Layca and Maya were helping Martin with the various duties.

I had events at night by the ocean for a wedding. It was dark and wasn't very well lit at parts between there and the hotel, so felt more comfortable grabbing someone to walk me back to the hotel. It probably wouldn't have bothered me if I travelled with someone or had a companion.

Everything about my stay was lovely. check in was easy, the room very clean and comfortable, bed was extra comfy, loved the option for breakfast in the morning, the pool and courtyard area was beautiful and relaxing and the hotel felt very safe and secure. The hotel was very close to town but was peaceful and quiet. Martin and the rest of the staff were very accommodating, attentive and kind. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again if I found myself back in Sayulita.

There is no open door entrance to get in. There was not any staff working there only one man and he overcharged me ?

Beautiful, clean, boutique hotel! Martin was lovely, and so accommodating. He was very helpful answering any questions! Many extra lovely touches, with the excellent coffee, delicious breakfast, and great location close to town but away from the noise. Will definitely return!
