    • Honestly I can't understand all the comments being amazed by this place so much. Yes, it's in a nice secluded place, yes it has a pretty private beach, but that's it. We didn't mind the general state of the place.
    • Friendly and supportive staff. Food was delicious. We enjoyed snorkeling from the private beach. They helped us schedule a driver for a private tour.
    • Beautiful spot, amazing hosts. Eddie and Tom make you feel in family. Magical place, very good food and excellent snorkeling.

    Cons -

    • The staff needs to be much more attentive and friendlier. Our room had mold all over the ceiling and walls in some parts. Also, our bathroom window was opening to the outside seating area, where there were people chilling often, you can see how this can be uncomfortable. The food was just okay, some things even bad to be honest. Breakfast was either swimming in oil or water. Cocktails also a fail.I'm generally not a Karen, but this place really does not deserve such high rating at these prices. Also the beach was not marinated, rubbish from day one was there the second day too..
    • The caretaker being aggressive towards getting my gf's name. (I'm still hearing about it)No shower water, only having the restaurant for food source (without driving somewhere)
    • The beach is good for snorkeling but not for swimming. The corals and stones are impossible to walk on. However we enjoyed snorkeling a lot.

Quieter than expected for a holiday weekend. A good choice for those looking for tranquility away from TV's and microwaves.*Note: no microwave or TV :)Excellent views and access to the water on a private beach. Our room had a newer style split A/C, super comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, refrigerator, power outlet by the bed(s) and in the bathroom/ CR.**Note: There was a note on the check-in counter saying that they were having trouble with the water supply and to let them know if the room had any issues. In fact our room had no water in the shower. It was easier to just take bucket showers from the bathroom sink than to have someone in our room trying to fix it or moving rooms (if any were available on a holiday weekend)The restaurant/bar is overlooking the ocean and is staffed with very friendly and personable help.***You are pretty much forced to eat from the on-site restaurant (the foods decent) unless you travel back to the little town as they don't recommend bringing food into the rooms.A special shout out to Tom the Caretaker at the time of our visit, always with friendly conversations and helping us wash our car from the evenings tree droppings before leaving. (even though he was a bit forward forcing himself to get my gf's name). Still bothers us a bit...There's no outside water supply and tree's (or birds/bats) drop large black globs of something on the cars/motorbikes in the parking area. We brought water from the room and from a outside bucket we found and had some rags in the back of the car. I suggested that maybe have a hose out near the parking area, it was suggested "bring a car cover". I can't imagine sticking a car cover back in the car covered in the black, gooey substance only to travel with it and clean it at home.Being there for a few days felt like being with family and we really appreciate the hospitality.

The caretaker being aggressive towards getting my gf's name. (I'm still hearing about it)No shower water, only having the restaurant for food source (without driving somewhere)

Absolutely fantastic little spot! All of the staff are incredible and all of the food was so delicious. It is very small so you get to know others staying there. The property is beautiful and the perfect spot to just chill. There is a private beach right there where you can snorkel and swim. You can also arrange tours through the resort with transport included. Would absolutely recommend.

Great location, closer to all of the activities - whale sharks, canyoneering, etc. Hotel arranged tours for us with private vehicle, and they were great. Facilities were great and hotel staff was very helpful.

The beach is good for snorkeling but not for swimming. The corals and stones are impossible to walk on. However we enjoyed snorkeling a lot.

We had a wonderful time here celebrating our anniversary! The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and accomodating, even going so far as making us a breakfast for the road when we had to check out early to drive back to Cebu. We also really loved that there was a private beach and a local reef out in the water, which you can borrow life jackets and snorkels to go explore.

It can be easy to miss the entrance when you're driving there. Be sure to slow down so you don't miss your correct turn.

The property is lovely, and it feels like an escape from the crowded areas. You have everything for not leaving, private beach, pool, restaurant, etc. The staff is fantastic and super kind. They were so kind as to pack breakfast for us, as we left before the breakfast serving time. Overall, very comfortable and beautiful.

The entrance is not easy to find from the main road, and from there, the road towards the property is very narrow and only one-way.

I like the rustic vibe of the property. The beach and the view are great! We had a great stay. The room is also comfy and spacious for a couple.

We were not informed that the road going to the property was a bit small if you have a car, but we were able to manage it.

    That is peaceful and quiet

Probably just the amount of trash that gets piled up at private beach area. Granada staff tried to keep up on picking the garbage. I think the LGU's / locals should champion the garbage and trash collection system to not only keeping the island free of plastics as all the attractions/tourist activities are all dependent upon the marine life that keep them employed.

Location was amazing with the coral reef (one of the best I’ve seen ) with turtles only a few steps away.

My partner and I came to the Philippines to wind down and that we did, Granada beach resort is the perfect spot. It’s quiet, quaint, the staff are lovely and the food is yummy. They were also very helpful booking activities and organising drivers for us, made a huge difference to our experience. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Like:We arrived to a very clean room, yoga mats available for use in the rooms was great. Providing conditioner in the shower is always a win too! The mini fridge and kettle were very useful and being able to re-fill our water bottles from a communal dispenser is great! We were close to the whale sharks which was super handy, and the hotel helped us with arranging to rent a moped, so we could drive ourselves down and save loads of money rather than doing an expensive tour. We also drove to some waterfalls ourselves which was great ??The pool is heated naturally by the sun and was lovely for a splash around. They provide beach towels as well as towels for your room which was great. The house reef was lovely, and providing snorkelling gear was really helpful. They have a small communal library growing which was a lovely idea and some games to play. They also helped us get our laundry done whilst staying, sent locally into the town and at a reasonable price.Disliked:The restaurant was probably the only downfall for us. The food was cooked well (never over or under cooked), but unfortunately was quite bland at times and had little imagination to justify the cost. Some more local dishes would have been welcomed, with a range of different seasonal or locally cooked fruit and veg (it was always the same three types of veg quite plainly cooked). Or even the option to choose some different sauces or adding chilli oils or spices. The ‘seasonal fruit’ included things like apples and grapes, which are imported, which was disappointing, and no coconuts the whole stay even though they were on the menu. We did feed this back to them, and they seemed receptive so that was good. It would also have been nice to have a couple of mock-tails added to the menu, they did say they could do the cocktails without alcohol, but unfortunately most of the cocktails were made of just several different alcohols and a mixer, so removing the alcohol didn’t leave you with much more choice.

Remote location, beautiful view with private beach and snorkelling spot.Good food in the restaurant.Great value overall.

Organised tour through hotel was very good however would have benefitted from more communication (packing list, schedule for the day etc)

A lovely stay. The staff were so friendly and so helpful. The resort was nice, and we loved the massage by the ocean! Snorkeling at the house reef was so good! The corals were alive and healthy, and there was just so much to see! We booked a Whale Shark watching tour with them, and Alex was an amazing guide, helping us take great photos!Kudos to the team at Granada for helping us make this vacation unforgettable!

We were very satisfied with staff. Staff were very kind, polite and helpful. There was nice place and suitable sea for snorkeling.

This is a gem! We stayed in 8 different accommodations during our trip to the Philippines and this was our favourite by far. There is a pristine house reef and we spent a lot of time snorkelling from the private beach. The pool is lovely and the rooms were perfect! The food was good, they were very accommodating for vegetarians/vegans - we let them know in advance and had lots of options - thank you :) The view is spectacular and the resort has a lovely atmosphere, we felt like we were on holiday as soon as we arrived.

We didn't like to leave :(

    9AndreasPosted on: 3-12-2025

The staff was extremely friendly. The food at the restaurant was also really tasty. You could notice that the hotel owner took feedback from previous guests seriously. For example, they already renewed the cover of the sunbeds, added a fridge in every room, ... Also the hotel area itself is designed and created with love and all in all very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The bathroom was not up to the latest standards but still fine and clean.

The ambiance is so relaxing and good vibe. The owners are so gentle and staff is always very kind. It was what makes the stay even more better. Location wise it’s perfect and the quality of the resort couldn’t be better.
